  • Patent number: 10356637
Abstract: Method and apparatus for enabling accurate link quality estimation of a wireless link between a sending node and a receiving node. When the sending node receives link state reports from the receiving node, it estimates the current state of the wireless link. The sending node also determines a measurement adjusting parameter if the link state reports are deemed inaccurate in relation to the estimated link state, based on a deviation between the received link state reports and the estimated actual link state. The sending node then sends the determined measurement adjusting parameter to the receiving node, and the receiving node provides a link state report based on signal measurements adjusted by the measurement adjusting parameter. The adjusted link state report can then be used for link adaptation of the wireless link and/or for packet scheduling decisions.

  • Patent number: 10341059
Abstract: A method is provided in a receiving node for handling status information of data units transmitted from a sending node to the receiving node over a radio link. The receiving node establishes that a number of data units that has been transmitted by the sending node are missing. The receiving node sends a reduced status message to the sending node over the radio link, which message is reduced such that it comprises the negative acknowledgement for a first part of missing data units and omits negative acknowledgements for the rest of the missing data units. The omitted negative acknowledgement for the rest of the missing data units will not erroneously be interpreted as correctly received data units by the sending node.

  • Patent number: 10320743
Abstract: A method for diagnosing availability of network subscribers in an IP-based network in which each subscriber is allocated, in one or more address ranges, at least one address at which the subscriber is available to another subscriber. Each of first and second subscribers has a respective first address allocated in the address ranges, and a guideline stored in the each subscriber stipulates which allocated addresses must be used for communication with other subscribers. The check on availability of the second to the first subscriber prompts the first subscriber to resolve a name of the second subscriber; the result obtained is the addresses of the address range(s) allocated to the second subscriber, and an address list is produced from the result. For each address in the address list, separate examination of the communication capability between the first and second subscribers is performed, and the result is evaluated.

  • Patent number: 10313301
Abstract: An intellectual rack includes a rack management system, a rack management controller (RMC), a set of internal hardware lines, a plurality of server slots, and multiple servers respectively arranged in the server slots. The RMC is connected with each baseboard management controller (BMC) of each server through the set of internal hardware lines. The rack management system determines whether a server is replaced through the RMC and the set of internal hardwire lines, and confirms a target server slot of the replacing action when determining that one of the servers is replaced. Further, the rack management system assigns an IP address binding to the target server slot for the BMC of the newly-replaced server to replace an IP address currently used by the BMC of the newly-replaced server, so as to keep the binding effect among the target server slot, the newly-replaced server and the IP address.

  • Patent number: 10313091
Abstract: Currently, there exists low power Ethernet PHY solutions running at 10 Gbps over twin-ax cables with SFP+ connectors. However, the cost and range of these cables, along with the size of the connectors, do not match the requirements of in-vehicle networks. If the cable is replaced with a single pair of shielded or coaxial cables, a different mechanism is needed to provide bi-directional communication. Time division duplexing (TDD) can be used to emulate full duplex communication over the single pair of cables by taking turns, in time, transmitting data over the pair of cables in each direction.

  • Patent number: 10292089
Abstract: An example implementation may involve a first playback device accessing, from a file, first network parameters. The first playback device determines that it is unable to establish a valid network connection to the first WLAN using the first network parameters. In response, the first playback device broadcasts a probe request message. The first playback device receives, from a second playback device, a response to the probe request message, the response to the probe request message indicating second network parameters that are assigned to a network interface of the second playback device. The first playback device establishes a valid network connection to the particular WLAN using the second network parameters and joins, via the established network connection to the particular WLAN, a media playback system that comprises the second playback device.
