  • Patent number: 11582006
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for transmitting a positioning reference signal over a channel within a window including a set of positioning reference signal transmission opportunities. A device may identify the window and perform a channel access procedure to access the channel during the window. Based on performing the channel access procedure, the device may obtain access to the channel and determine that a portion of the positioning reference signal transmission opportunities are remaining within the window. The device may transmit a positioning reference signal during one or more of the remaining positioning reference signal transmission opportunities. In some cases, the device may refrain from transmitting a positioning reference signal during a portion of a positioning reference signal transmission opportunity even if the device gains access to the channel during that portion of the positioning reference signal transmission opportunity.

  • Patent number: 11540116
Abstract: A network controller provides proactive notification of a wireless client device's address rotation to layer 2 (L2) and/or layer 3 (L3) devices. Traditional methods of device address discovery rely on broadcasting of address queries across a plurality of links until a path to a device having the queried address responds. As device address changes become more frequent in an effort to improve user privacy, traditional methods of address discovery impose a large burden on networks, reducing their performance and efficiency. By proactively propagating address changes to upstream devices, the need for broadcast oriented address discovery techniques is reduced, resulting in improved network performance.

  • Patent number: 11539549
Abstract: A method for transmitting data in an automation network by telegrams, where the automation network comprises a master subscriber, slave subscribers and at least one unlocker, connected to each other via a data-line network. The slave subscribers are divided into segments. The master subscriber sends locked telegrams for processing by the slave subscribers, each having a telegram identifier used to assign a locked telegram to a segment. At least one segment is assigned to at least one unlocker. If the unlocker receives a locked telegram, the unlocker checks, by the telegram identifier in the locked telegram, whether the locked telegram for the assigned segment is intended to release the locked telegram, as an unlocked telegram for processing by the slave subscribers, provided that the locked telegram is intended for the segment assigned to the unlocker.

  • Patent number: 11516047
Abstract: A communication path in a loop form is formed by trunk lines and a redundant communication path, which is formed by a switch and a backup line. In order to be applied to a bus-type communication network such as a CAN, the switch is normally off, and the backup line is disconnected from a path in a steady state. A disconnection detection unit is provided at each of joint connectors. When any disconnection detection unit detects disconnection, the switch is closed to enable use of the redundant path. Further, content of a routing map of a central gateway is automatically rewritten to preferentially select the redundant path that is not disconnected, and thus the path is changed.

  • Patent number: 11496398
Abstract: An ingress fabric endpoint coupled to a switch fabric within a network device reorders packet flows based on congestion status. In one example, the ingress fabric endpoint receives packet flows for switching across the switch fabric. The ingress fabric endpoint assigns each packet for each packet flow to a fast path or a slow path for packet switching. The ingress fabric endpoint processes, to generate a stream of cells for switching across the switch fabric, packets from the fast path and the slow path to maintain a first-in-first-out ordering of the packets within each packet flow. The ingress fabric endpoint switches a packet of a first packet flow after switching a packet of a second packet flow despite receiving the packet of the first packet flow before the packet of the second packet flow.

  • Patent number: 11470511
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first rate matching resource indication that indicates that a first rate matching resource is available for use by the UE in reception of a downlink shared channel. The UE may also receive a second rate matching resource indication that indicates that a second rate matching resource is not available for use by the UE in reception of the downlink shared channel. The UE may identify a rate matching resource indication conflict arising from an overlap of at least one resource element included in both the first rate matching resource and the second rate matching resource. The UE may then resolve the rate matching resource indication conflict in accordance with a conflict resolution rule.

  • Patent number: 11468425
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for asynchronously initiating online charging triggers in mobile networks are described. A control plane gateway or “GW-C” may obtain from a mobility management entity (MME) a create session request associated with an attach request for a user equipment (UE). The GW-C may send to an online charging system (OCS) a Gy credit-control request for requesting a quota of units (e.g. a resource usage quota) associated with a subscriber of the UE. Prior to sending the Gy credit-control request or obtaining a Gy credit-control answer, the GW-C may send to the MME a create session response which prompts an attach accept or reject of the attach request. The Gy credit-control request may be sent to the OCS during an attach procedure associated with the attach request for the UE or, alternatively, in response to receiving a user data packet of the session as a notification.

  • Patent number: 11463900
Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for applying an authorized set of traffic parameters, such as network slicing parameters, Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, etc. to traffic associated with a particular application, without exposing an identifier of the traffic to one or more network devices of a network that handles the traffic. An authentication system of some embodiments may generate a tokenized version of the application. A User Equipment (“UE”) may extract a token from the tokenized application and identify a set of traffic parameters based on then token. The UE may apply the traffic parameters to outbound traffic associated with the application, and the network may determine whether such traffic parameters are authorized for a destination associated with the traffic based on an authorization of the destination for the particular traffic parameters.
