  • Patent number: 11050709
Abstract: A system is configured to perform operations that include determining an exception event corresponding to a transmission of a plurality of network packets over an electronic network. The electronic network may cause network address translation to be performed on the plurality of network packets. The operations may also include identifying, based on a log of the plurality of network packets, a first network packet associated with the exception event and calculating, based on a payload portion of the first network packet, a packet signature corresponding to the first network packet. The operations may further include determining, based on a comparison between a first data structure and a second data structure using the packet signature, original source address information that corresponds to the first network packet prior to the network address translation being performed on the first network packet.

  • Patent number: 11006328
Abstract: End marker functionality may be provided in mobile networks having mobile user planes configured with segment routing for IPv6 (SRv6), especially suitable for 5G network migration. For example, a base station may receive an SRv6 control message from a user plane function (UPF) which carries data traffic of a data session for the UE. The base station may perform a function associated with a segment identifier (SID) identified in a segment routing header (SRH) of the SRv6 control message. The function may be an end marker handling function associated with an end marker SID. Performing the end marker handling function may cause the base station to generate a tunneling protocol message (e.g. according to GPRS tunneling protocol or GTP) comprising an end marker message and send the tunneling protocol message comprising the end marker message for receipt by the target base station.

  • Patent number: 10972930
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and device for wireless communication. The method comprises: a terminal obtains, from first carriers of a cell, operating parameters of second carriers of the cell, the frequency band where the first carriers are located being different from the frequency band where the second carriers are located; the terminal measures the second carriers of the cell according to the operating parameters of the second carriers of the cell to obtain a measurement result for the second carriers of the cell; the terminal determines a target carrier from the second carriers of the cell; the terminal communicates with a base station by means of the target carrier. According to the solution, the first and second carriers are configured in the cell, and the frequency bands where the first and second carriers are located different, and therefore, the characteristics of different frequency bands are utilized flexibly, so as to balance the design of an entire communication system.

  • Patent number: 10972876
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for providing local broadcasts for group calls. A user equipment (UE) may request a group call, and either a base station or a local server dedicated to the base station may determine whether to allow the group call based at least in part on an assessed level of interest for the group call. If the group call occurs, the UE may perform one or more aspects of user plane processing for the broadcast data—such as setting Internet protocol (IP) addresses in IP packets, encryption, compression, or media formatting—and may transmit the broadcast data to the base station. The base station may then transmit the broadcast data to one or more interested UEs via one or more multicast transmissions without routing the broadcast data through other network nodes, which may reduce latency and provide other benefits.

  • Patent number: 10951527
Abstract: An ingress fabric endpoint coupled to a switch fabric within a network device reorders packet flows based on congestion status. In one example, the ingress fabric endpoint receives packet flows for switching across the switch fabric. The ingress fabric endpoint assigns each packet for each packet flow to a fast path or a slow path for packet switching. The ingress fabric endpoint processes, to generate a stream of cells for switching across the switch fabric, packets from the fast path and the slow path to maintain a first-in-first-out ordering of the packets within each packet flow. The ingress fabric endpoint switches a packet of a first packet flow after switching a packet of a second packet flow despite receiving the packet of the first packet flow before the packet of the second packet flow.
