  • Patent number: 10912004
Abstract: In a cellular telecommunications system, outage management is managed in respect of each cell B by a nominated neighbor cell A, the identity of which is recorded in a neighbor list for cell B. If a cell C, D, other than the nominated neighbor, detects a suspected outage in a cell B, the cell detecting the outage identifies the nominated neighbor A from the neighbor list of cell B, and transmits an outage report to the nominated neighbor cell A, which coordinates a handover and outage management process. This avoids multiple detections of the same outage resulting in conflicting attempts to manage the recovery process.

  • Patent number: 10873522
Abstract: An apparatus and method for testing an upstream path of a cable network are disclosed. The upstream path is tested by capturing and analyzing upstream data packets generated by a specific terminal device. A test instrument is connected at a node of the cable network. The test instrument establishes a communication session with the headend, informing the headend of an identifier of the device that will generate the test upstream data packet. The test upstream data packet is captured and analyzed at the headend, so that the results of the analysis can be communicated back to the test instrument. To speed up the packet capturing and filtering process, the upstream data packets can be pre-filtered based on packet duration and/or arrival time.

  • Patent number: 10856175
Abstract: When a base station is serving a plurality of UEs, the base station detects that a load level on a first RF carrier is greater than a threshold load level. The base station then decides, based at least in part on whether a UE is capable of being served by the base station on a second RF carrier, whether to limit allocation of resource blocks on the first RF carrier to the UE. The base station may then establish or modify an air interface connection with the UE to encompass resource blocks on the first RF carrier and/or resources blocks on one or more other RF carriers, in accordance with the limited allocation.

  • Patent number: 10805984
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for configuring and managing mesh nodes during occasional failure of mesh nodes or addition of new mesh nodes. The disclosed system first determines whether a mesh node is a mesh portal or a mesh point. If it is a mesh portal, the mesh node will advertise its capacity as a mesh portal to other mesh nodes in the network. If it is a mesh point, the mesh node attempts to automatically recover connection to the wireless mesh network if it identifies a unique wireless network based on its associated network identifier. If more than one network identifiers are discovered, the mesh node delays establishing connection to the wireless mesh network until a selection is received.

  • Patent number: 10743369
Abstract: The present specification proposes a signal processing method for changing an operating mode for transmitting a PPDU in a wireless LAN system. Specifically, a first station receives, from the second station, indication information which indicates a change in an operating mode indicating a receiving channel bandwidth and a number of spatial streams supported by a second station during a TXOP interval. When the number of spatial streams and the receiving channel bandwidth decrease, the first station configures a PPDU for the second station by using the indication information after transmitting an ACK for the indication information. When the number of spatial streams and the receiving channel bandwidth increase, the first station configures a PPDU for the second station by using the indication information during a subsequent TXOP interval of the TXOP interval.

  • Patent number: 10708182
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for carrying reachability information in an echo request message and/or an echo reply message, which can be used to reach an initiator when the initiator's address is unknown. An echo request message includes an FEC (forwarding equivalence class) stack that identifies a label switched path (LSP). The echo request message is received by a label switching routing element (LSR) on the LSP, and the echo request is originated by an initiator. In response to a detection that the FEC stack changes at the LSR, a segment reachability (SR) sub-TLV (type-length-value) element can be generated, where the SR sub-TLV includes reachability information that can be used to reach the initiator, and the reachability information includes an incoming label allocated by the LSR to reach the initiator.
