  • Patent number: 10380557
Abstract: Methods and systems may relate to clustering of repair orders based on alternative repair indicators. Accordingly, a processor may determine that a particular computer-readable vehicle repair order (RO) corresponds to an existing cluster of ROs due to the particular RO including data that refers to a particular vehicle symptom. This existing cluster may be arranged to contain ROs that correspond to the particular vehicle symptom. In response to determining that the particular RO correspond to the existing cluster, the processor may determine that the particular RO includes data indicating an alternative repair that defines a vehicle repair for resolving the particular vehicle symptom other than by replacement of a particular vehicle component. Responsively, the processor may add the particular RO to a different cluster of ROs. This different cluster may be arranged to contain ROs that correspond to the particular vehicle symptom and to the alternative repair.

  • Patent number: 10346889
Abstract: In some examples, a service provider may receive, from a buyer device, an order for an item from a merchant for delivery to a delivery location. The service provider may determine predicted courier travel times to the merchant location and from the merchant location to the delivery location, and may determine a first payment amount based on the predicted courier travel times. The service provider may further predict other courier time associated with the order, other than travel time, such as based on a courier wait time associated with the merchant. The service provider may determine a second payment amount based on the predicted courier other time. The service provider may send, to a courier device of a courier selected to deliver the order, information about the order including a payment amount for the order based on the first payment amount and the second payment amount.

  • Patent number: 10319054
Abstract: An automated valuation system for an entity, that uses specific input attributes items and a plurality of primary token features that are disposed within a specific geolocation, in addition, a plurality of valued entities input data set items and a plurality of secondary token features that are disposed within the same geolocation. Recently evaluated entities are qualified by being within first and second ranges of first and second matched items to the specific entity, wherein common features are removed, and remaining features are given a tokenized grouping and weight via an algorithm to explain valuations differences between recently evaluated entities. These weights are used determine a calculated value of the specific entity by determining a calculated attribute value based upon the weight of the features associated with the specific entity.

  • Patent number: 10310819
Abstract: A system and method for providing symbolic mode checking of business application requirements. A language allows for building a model for the business process, the model comprising a plurality of actions, with each action having a precondition and a postcondition or outcome. Specifications are constructed for the properties of the business applications with the specifications describing both the states of the business process and the order in which they may occur. Finally, the model and the specifications are analyzed to determine if the model satisfies the specifications. If the model fails to satisfy the specifications, a problem may be indicated in the business application. The process can be automated to permit the system to make assumptions for conducting a thorough analysis of selected potential problem areas in the application.

  • Patent number: 10296986
Abstract: Methods of providing services to individual and methods of manufacturing items are described. Data structures to represent priority values for those individuals or items are also described. By ascribing priority values to a set of items, those items can be grouped based on those priority values. Once grouped based on priority values, the items within each group can be manufactured according to group priority as well as according to the characteristics of each item to be manufactured within that group. The same concept applies to providing services to individuals.

  • Patent number: 10290012
Abstract: Price for one or more products is optimized by considering competitor and/or consumer behavior relating to the products. A control set is generated to include one or more products. Also, a test set is generated to include one or more products of the same type as products in the control set. A feature of the products in the test set is changed while the feature of the products in the control set is maintained. Competitor and/or consumer response to the change is measured. Based on the response, a recommendation is generated with respect to the feature of the products in the test set. According to one implementation the recommendation may be a recommendation to lower the price of the products in the test set.

  • Patent number: 10255565
Abstract: For distributed analysis of time-series data in a smart entity environment, the data is received from a data source in the environment. An overall analysis of the data is distributed to a first node in the environment. In a network operating the environment the first node is at a smaller distance from the data source as compared to a second node. A first portion of the overall analysis is performed on the data at the first node to produce a first conclusion. The first conclusion is routed to the second node. The second node performs a second portion of the overall analysis. Using the first conclusion, from the first node, a first action is caused to occur on a component of the environment. The data source is associated with the component, the data is indicative of a condition in the environment, and the component participates in the condition.
