    Abstract: A dual-directional hinge for a portable device with a body and a monitor such as a mobile phone, a notebook computer or a PDA is disclosed. The hinge is composed of a first supporting member, a second supporting member, a seat, a vertical pin and a horizontal pintle. The first supporting member is mounted on the monitor and is rotatably mounted on the second supporting member by the vertical pin. The second supporting member and the seat are mounted rotatably on the body by the horizontal pintle. Thus, the monitor can be turned about the horizontal pintle to be raised from the body, and can be turned left or right about the vertical pin to change the horizontal viewing angle.

A turning axis having an opening is disposed above the flat member, and an oscillating shaft is disposed below the flat member. Accordingly, the control rods are extended outward or contracted inward through turning of a rotation body, a key or handles of the lock, thereby locking or opening a door.

    Abstract: A double-lockable baggage case including two baggage shells which are pivotally connected with each other along one side and mated with each other to form the baggage case. A main lock device is mounted on one of the baggage shells and includes at least one displaceable latch member. At least one subsidiary lock device and reciprocally movable male fastening member are mounted on the other baggage shell corresponding to the main lock device. The subsidiary lock device includes a driving section. When the subsidiary lock device is turned, the driving section drives and displaces the male fastening member. In a locked state, the male fastening member is locked with the latch member of the main lock device to lock the baggage case. When the male fastening member is responsive of the turning of the subsidiary lock device to displace, the male fastening member is released from the restriction of the latch member of the main lock device for opening the baggage case.

A swivel cup is fixed in the base frame of the cheek plate assembly prior to polymer overmolding and a swivel with a swivel pin is received in the swivel cup.

    Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member, an outer member and a cap member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The cap member and the outer member are connected to form an enclosure therebetween which houses a locking mechanism. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle neck. Pins are connected to the inner member and extend into the locking mechanism to lock the inner and outer members together when the inner member is inserted in the outer member. A magnetic key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key attracts a portion of the locking mechanism to disengage the mechanism from the pin.

At least one numeral wheel is mounted in the numeral wheel window for controlling a lock bolt to lock/unlock the numeral lock. The numeral wheel window extends into the front face without crossing the mating edge thereof. Therefore, the mating edges of the two halves of the lock housing will not be slotted so that the structure of the front face of the lock housing is kept integrated. The numeral wheel is positioned between the lateral face and front face so that the numeral wheel has larger turning angle each time the numeral wheel is turned.

The drive shaft and hub can be locked against rotation, or not, by a lock that is mechanically connected to an assembly including the bolt assembly interacting with a separately activated kick off member such that on retraction of the bolt, depending on the position of the kick off member, the hub is locked against rotation. The bolt can be retracted by each of the key cylinder cam and the hub, in isolation.

When opened and the padlock is turned opposite a slotted bar, moving the bar actuates a separately installed automatic gate-opener for access to an area. Alternatively, the system can be adapted for use manually by authorized personnel to lock or unlock a gate, door, or secured equipment. No padlock can be removed from the assembly except for periodic changing of a lock when an individual leaves the group and thus is no longer permitted to enter the closed area.
