  • Patent number: 7134302
Abstract: A security device includes a carrier for a tell-tale provision having electro-magnetic characteristics. The device is adapted to be releasably secured to an article to be protected, in particular to the shaft of a golf club, in a tamper-resilient manner and to retain the tell-tale provision in a spaced relationship from the article. In this way any adverse magnetic effects on the tell-tale provision by ferromagnetic parts of the article are avoided. Preferably, the tell-tale provision is spaced at least 3 mm from the article to which the device is secured.

  • Patent number: 7127921
Abstract: Engagement parts 52c of the locking device for a steering shaft are formed on a side face of a driven gear of a reduction gear mechanism which is fastened to a steering shaft 2. Since a locking part 6a is arranged near the reduction gear mechanism, elements related to a locking function can be removed from the key cylinder of the engine key, so that the key cylinder of the engine key can be downsized, or can be arranged in another position. Consequently, even in a state where a reduction gear mechanism, a steering assist motor and the like are arranged in the middle of the steering shaft, a longer stroke of the impact absorbing mechanism in comparison with conventional mechanisms can be ensured, utilizing a decrease in length of the downsized or reduced key cylinder in the axial direction of the steering shaft 2.

  • Patent number: 7124606
Abstract: A lockout safety hasp is provided including a rotational shackle coupled to a top of a body having a U-shaped securing beam extending from the bottom thereof. A slidable cover is received on the body and is moveable between a closed position in which the rotatable shackle is locked in place and an open position in which the shackle is free to rotate. The securing beam is generally U-shaped and provides an opening sized and dimensioned to receive one or more padlocks, the padlocks preventing the cover from moving out of the closed position until all of the padlocks are removed. The components of the lockout safety hasp can be constructed of a plastic or a plastic polymer, and snap fit together to provide an inexpensive and easy to manufacture device.

  • Patent number: 7121126
Abstract: A locking bolt for irrotationally locking a motor-vehicle steering shaft is axially movable inside a housing between locked and release positions, and is fixable in the locked position by means of a spring-loaded securing pin axially movable in the housing that cooperates with a lateral recess in the bolt. The bolt is fixed in the event a part of the housing fitted with a retaining arm retaining the securing pin against the action of its spring load is removed, thereby releasing the securing pin to fix the bolt. The securing pin is not manipulable after its release by removal of the housing part and the retaining arm because it is neither visible nor accessible through the cavity in the housing through which the retaining arm extends.

  • Patent number: 7114727
Abstract: A seal assembly comprising an elastomeric gland having insert openings and fastener openings. Elastomeric inserts are removably disposed in the gland insert openings. The inserts have removable portions to form cable openings. Cable(s) can be placed in the cable openings. End plates are disposed at each end of the inserts and gland. The end plates are formed of complementary plate members, which, when mated together, form an unitized end plate having fastener openings and cable openings. Upon installing the seal assembly in an elongate container opening, fasteners, which extend through the gland and end plates, are tightened. The gland expands outward and contacts the wall forming the container opening. The gland constricts on the inserts, and, in turn, the inserts constrict on the cable(s) located in an insert.
