  • Patent number: 5379618
Abstract: A locking device of a motor cycle disk brake has a body provided with a slot perpendicular to one of the sides of the body. A locking bolt is disposed in the body such that the locking bolt can be caused to move between a first position and a second position. When the locking bolt is located at the second position, the locking bolt seals off an end of the slot. A locking apparatus is housed in the body and is composed of a lock core capable of being caused to locate at a third position or at a fourth position at such time when the locking apparatus is in an unlocking state or in a locking state. The lock core is coupled with the locking bolt in such a manner that the axes of the lock core and the locking bolt are parallel to each other. The locking bolt and the lock core can be caused to act synchronously. When the locking bolt is caused to seal off the slot, the locking bolt is simultaneously aligned to pass through one of the heat-radiating holes of the disk brake, thereby incapacitating the motor cycle.

  • Patent number: 5377513
Abstract: To assure that door locking can reliably be achieved, two permanent magnets are arranged for a locking device. One of the permanent magnets, i.e., a first permanent magnet is carried on one end of a trigger member of which central part is turnably supported in a lock box, while the other one, i.e., a second permanent magnet is disposed on a door frame at the position located in alignment with the first permanent magnet when a door is closed. The magnetic pole of the first permanent magnet is coincident with that of the second permanent magnet. When the door is closed, the first permanent magnet is displaced away from the second permanent magnet by the magnetic repulsive force appearing between both the permanent magnets, causing the trigger member to be disengaged from an engagement lever made integral with a control gear, resulting in the dead bolt becoming operatively free.

  • Patent number: 5368368
Abstract: End portions of elastic fibers are fixed to a holder plate as well as a holder cover constituting a seat surface of a vehicle seat, thereby spanning the elastic fibers. A net-shaped seat portion is thus formed of the elastic fibers. The holder plate and the holder cover are suspended on the elastic fibers in the upper-diagonal direction. The elastic fibers thus strained are overlaid with urethane foam, and a cushion member is formed by a urethane pad. Meanwhile, the holder cover is pulled by a spring in the lower-diagonal direction so as to impart an initial tensile force to the elastic fibers, whereby deflections are eliminated. When an occupant's weight acts on the vehicle seat with the above construction, the vehicle seat deflects downward, with a predetermined deflection curve being drawn. However, both end portions of the elastic fibers are suspended on the elastic fibers in the upper-diagonal direction.
