  • Patent number: 10594913
Abstract: A head/eye tracking system comprising an image sensor for acquiring images of a user, a narrow band light source for illuminating the eyes, and a band-pass filter arranged between the eyes and the image acquisition device and having a pass-band corresponding to the emission spectrum of the light source at a predefined operating temperature. The system further comprises a heat source arranged in proximity to the light source and configured to preheat the light source to reach the predefined operating temperature. By shortening the period during which large temperature variation takes place, sub-optimal performance of the system can be accepted during this short period, thereby relaxing the requirements on light source and filter design.

  • Patent number: 10587920
Abstract: A method and system for digital video content filtering is provided and includes receiving a request to filter instances of recorded digital video content, based on user preferences from a user profile. The instances are segmented based on a cognitive analysis using content tags in the instances. The computer accesses a relationship map and tags from the user profile. The relationship map describes how the segments from the instances of recorded digital video content are related to each other. The computer performs a cognitive analysis of the user profile data utilizing the accessed relationship map and tags. A relevance score is assigned to the instances of recorded digital video content, which indicates a strength of the relationship between the identified instances and the user viewing preferences and/or keywords. Relevant segments are identified based on the relevance score exceeding a predetermined threshold value. The relevant segments are stored on the computer.

  • Patent number: 10467721
Abstract: Methods of manufacturing security documents and security devices, and corresponding products, provide a lenticular device effect in a first registration zone. Viewing its appearance from two different angles in this way, the relative positioning of the focussing element array and the image array can be judged to a high degree of accuracy. If the two arrays do not have the desired relative position, this will be clearly apparent since the different first and second images will not be captured at the first and second test viewing angles.

  • Patent number: 10455219
Abstract: Stereo correspondence and depth sensor techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a depth map generated by a depth sensor is leveraged as part of processing of stereo images to assist in identifying which parts of stereo images correspond to each other. The depth map, for instance, may be utilized to assist in identifying depth discontinuities in the stereo images. Additionally, techniques may be employed to align the depth discontinuities identified from the depth map to image edges identified from the stereo images. Techniques may also be employed to suppress image edges that do not correspond to the depth discontinuities of the depth map in comparison with image edges that do correspond to the depth discontinuities as part of the identification.

  • Patent number: 10438633
Abstract: It is provided a method for producing a stream of desired image frames derived from a panoramic capturing of a scene by an array of video cameras. The production is conducted by a coordinated operation at a venue proximate to the scene and at a production suite located remotely from the venue. The method includes a venue server recording a stream of raw video images captured simultaneously by the video-cameras, and converting the stream of raw video images at a first data rate to a stream of panoramic views at a second data rate. The second data rate is less than one third of the first data rate. The method further includes transmitting the stream of panoramic views to a remote production suite, and there selecting a stream of desired frames including respective regions of interest. The method further includes transmitting data on the stream of desired frames to the venue server, and the venue server producing out of the recorded stream of raw video images, a stream of high resolution frames.

  • Patent number: 10438630
Abstract: A display control apparatus capable of performing time-line display of a moving image including a section recorded at a different recording speed from the real-time recording speed, at time intervals designated by a user. Frames are extracted from a moving image at time intervals set by a user to display the extracted frames in a line. When a moving image includes a first section recorded at a recording frame rate which is the same as a reproduction frame rate, and a second section recorded at a frame rate different from the reproduction frame rate, frames are extracted from the first section at a first frame interval, and from the second section at a second frame interval different from the first frame interval. The frames extracted from the first section and the second section, respectively, are displayed in a line.
