  • Patent number: 9579938
Abstract: A TPM sensor measures the pressure of a tire and determines whether the measured pressure is greater than a predetermined threshold. When the measured pressure is greater than the predetermined threshold, an adjustment to the sensitivity is determined by the sensor. The adjustment to the sensitivity is applied to the sensor to yield an adjusted sensitivity. The TPM sensor is operated to make receptions according to the adjusted sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 9574372
Abstract: An intelligent door lock system includes components, a drive shaft of a lock device, a processor coupled to a wireless communication device, and an energy source coupled to a circuit. A device that converts energy into mechanical energy is coupled to the circuit and the drive shaft. The device that converts energy is coupled to the energy source to receive energy from the energy source. A ramp-up speed, a steady state speed and a ramp down speed are applied to the device that converts energy into mechanical energy. The ramp-up speed is applied when a first component initially engages with a second component. The steady state speed is applied following the initial engagement and is an operational speed that the device which converts energy uses during a standard operation mode. The ramp down speed is applied as the first and second components begin a state of non-engagement.

  • Patent number: 9576448
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring the security of an area, a corresponding security monitor device and a wireless access device. The method comprises steps of: determining whether there is at least one first mobile device accessing a wireless access device that serves said area; starting to monitor a breach of security conditions, if there is no at least one first mobile device accessing the wireless access device; and, generating an alarm signal and sending said signal to one of said at least one first mobile device, if the breach of security conditions is detected. With this method, it does not need the host to turn on the security monitoring device every time he leaves home and effectively eliminates the possibility of forgetting to turn on the security monitoring procedure by the user, making the security device more reliable and convenient.

  • Patent number: 9576468
Abstract: A non-wearable Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) architecture is provided, having a synthetic aperture antenna based RF interferometer followed by two-stage human state classifier and abnormal states pattern recognition. Systems and methods transmit ultra-wide band radio frequency signals at, and receive echo signals from, the environment, process the received echo signals to yield a range-bin-based slow signal that is spatio-temporally characterized over multiple spatial range bins and multiple temporal sub-frames, respectively, and derive from the slow signal a Doppler signature and a range-time energy signature as motion characteristics of human(s) in the environment and optionally also derive location data as movement characteristics thereof. The decision process is carried out based on the instantaneous human state (local decision) followed by abnormal states patterns recognition (global decision).
