Abstract: A system includes a host interface module and a power management module. The host interface module is configured to receive configuration information from a host processor of a wireless device. The configuration information indicates that the host processor is to (i) operate in a power save mode, and (ii) in response to the wireless device receiving data of a predetermined category from a wireless network, transition from the power save mode to an active mode. The power management module is configured to generate a first signal in response to the wireless device receiving data of the predetermined category from the wireless network. The first signal transitions the host processor from the power save mode to the active mode in which the host processor processes the data of the predetermined category.

The other end of the second straight line part is continued to one end of a second coil part, and the other end of the second coil part is continued to one end of the third straight line part. Also, a mobile terminal having a first housing slidably coupled to a second housing is provided. On the surface of the second housing, a pair of rail parts is provided extending in a sliding direction of the first housing. Between the rail parts, the torsion coil spring is provided for aiding sliding of the first housing on the rail parts of the second housing.
Abstract: A media distribution server presenting interactive media on mobile devices and receives mobile user response interactively. During the presentation of interactive media the user is prompted with multiple choices for their selection, which can be provided using softkeys on the mobile device. The media distribution server prepares the subsequent portions of the interactive media and delivers them to the mobile device. In one embodiment, the necessary text, graphics, audio and video are assembled and integrated dynamically and is presented on the mobile device to the user. Further the mobile user is prompted to approve online purchases, make online appointment requests, show interest in products, etc. while browsing the interactive media on their mobile device. The media distribution server supports such activities as necessary.
Abstract: A resource allocating apparatus and a method for a Push-To-Talk (PTT) service in a wideband wireless communication system are provided. The method includes, when a Floor Grant message is received from a PTT server, allocating an uplink resource to a corresponding terminal and when a Floor Release message is received from the terminal, aborting the uplink resource allocation. The uplink resource is allocated only to the terminal having the data to be transmitted, and the resources are not allotted to terminals having no data to send.

Abstract: An apparatus operable to disable operation of driver side wireless communications devices, for use within a vehicle, includes a drive circuit coupled to at least one active antenna element to produce interference within at least one wireless communications band of frequencies in response to movement of a vehicle above a defined threshold. The active antenna element being mounted proximate a driver side seatback and/or visor. The interference may take the form of a bare carrier wave, or may take the form of noise, and is transmitted at sufficient power to interfere with communication between the driver side wireless communications device and a destination device.
Abstract: Provided are wireless and standalone handheld devices, such as PDAs and wireless telephones, that are configured for inputting a unique contact identifier that uniquely identifies a desired contact record, querying a central database of contact information to obtain the desired contact record, receiving the record and storing it. In various embodiments, such requests can be made directly over a wireless network or indirectly when synchronizing the handheld device with a computer connected to the Internet or to another network.
Abstract: Terminals 1 and 2-1 to 2-n refer to information on the state of the terminals 1 and 2-1 to 2-n and a user to add functions for modifying the operation of the terminal and processing data thereby allowing the operation of the terminal to be modified, and the communication data to be processed, when the state information is in a specific condition. A server 3 accesses the information on the state of the terminals 1 and 2-1 to 2-n and the user on the side of the server 3, extracts terminal group information under a specific condition, generates a new group, and adds a presence linking function for performing registration with a group management function, thereby allowing the above state information to be used to generate a dynamic group.
Abstract: A method including wirelessly receiving a communication from a wireless device at a receiving device where the communication designated for transmission through the receiving device, recognizing a non-address portion of the communication as indicative of a command for the receiving device, and terminating the communication at the receiving device.
Abstract: A mobile terminal including a first body, a second body, and a swivel assembly to couple the first and second bodies to each other so as to rotate and slide the first and second bodies with respect to each other. Here, one of the first and second bodies includes a moving path disposed according to a sliding direction thereof. Moreover, the swivel assembly includes a moving unit slidably coupled to the moving path and a fixed unit mounted at one side of another one of the first and second bodies. The another one of the first and second bodies does not have the moving path thereon, and is rotatably coupled to the moving unit.
Abstract: Techniques involving network access are disclosed. For instance, an apparatus may include first and second transceivers, a first control module, and a second control module. Each transceiver may send one or more wireless transmissions, which are scheduled by the control modules. For example, the first control module may schedule transmissions of the first transceiver and the second control module may schedule transmissions of the second transceiver. These may be scheduled to avoid transmissions of the first transceiver overlapping in time with transmissions of the second transceiver.

Abstract: A method of forming a frame in a Mobile Multi-hop Relay (MMR) system, and a system for implementing the method are provided. In a multi-hop relay system, when a relay station of a specific layer receives data, the relay station receives data from both a higher layer and a lower layer. When the relay station transmits data, the relay station transmits data to both the higher layer and the lower layer. By doing so, data reception and data transmission are exclusively performed without interfering with each other, and the method and the system are easily applied to the multi-hop MMR system.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for joint unicast using multi-user superposition coding in a wireless relay system are provided. A BS superposition-encodes first and second data messages directed to first and second MSs, respectively, scheduled at a current scheduling instant. The first and second data messages carry first and second information bit streams for the first and second MSs, respectively. The first MS has a relatively good direct link to the BS, and the second MS has a relatively bad direct link to the BS. The superposition-coded data is transmitted to the first MS and an RS connected between the BS and the first and second MSs. The RS receives the superposition-coded data from the BS, extracts the second information bit stream by decoding the superposition-coded data, and transmits a third data message carrying the second information bit stream to the first and second MSs.
