Abstract: A tool, such as a tape measure, including a spring-based retraction system is shown. The spring-based retraction system includes at least two springs that drive a tape spool during tape retraction. The springs are indirectly coupled to each other via a single center post, in one embodiment, two center posts on a single spool, in another embodiment, or two center posts that are on different spools, in another embodiment.

Abstract: A sanitary in-line sight glass assembly is provided having separate first and second hollow connection bodies and a transparent tube retainable between and within the connection bodies when the connection bodies are secured together in an end-to-end abutting relationship. Gaskets are located within the connection bodies at opposite ends of the transparent tube and a clamp is provided for securing the ends of the connection bodies together such that the gaskets are compressed and form seals. The connection bodies include sidewalls having at least one opening through which the transparent tube is exposed for providing a viewing window into a flow path defined by the assembly. The clamp may be a circumferentially-extending clamp having ends secured together with a winged fastener able to be gripped by the hand of an installer such that the assembly can be assembled and disassembled manually without the use of a tool.

The surveying system further includes: a design information acquisition unit for acquiring design information including a designed slope; a surveying information acquisition unit for transmitting surveying information to a terminal device; a current state estimation unit for calculating an estimated altitude of a current ground in accordance with the surveying information; an intersection calculation unit for calculating a coordinate of an intersection between the current ground and the designed slope based on the estimated altitude of the current ground and the design information; a stake shape determination unit for determining a shape of a stake to be placed; and a stake shape information unit for causing the terminal device to inform of the shape of the stake determined by the stake shape determination unit.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for measuring a slope change amount of a structure, the apparatus being characterized by including: a bottom body (100) formed in a spherical surface having a predetermined radius of curvature; a ball (200) installed on an upper surface of the bottom body (100) and moving due to a gravitational force; and a camera (300) for imaging the bottom body (100) on which the ball (200) is located. In accordance with the present invention, there is an effect in that a slope change amount of a structure for a certain period may accurately be measured.

Abstract: A position-measuring device includes a housing having a first portion in the form of a hollow section and extending in a longitudinal direction. The housing includes at least a first passage and a second passage, the first and second passages each extending in the longitudinal direction at least partially through the first portion. A scale is disposed within the housing for being scanned as part of a position measurement. The position-measuring device includes a connecting channel, the first and second passages being interconnected via the connecting channel.

In one aspect, peripheral-surface spherical reference portions protrudes laterally on a peripheral surface of a master main body having a tubular shape, including the peripheral surface and an upper surface, and an upper reference ball for detection of an inclination angle of the body protrudes upward on the upper surface. The reference portions are provided at two or more portions of the peripheral surface in a circumferential direction thereof. In another aspect, an upper reference ball protrudes upward on the upper surface, and upper-surface spherical reference portions protrudes upward at one or more portions of the upper surface on an outer side with respect to the ball. Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of vehicle correction, and provides a calibration system and a calibration bracket thereof. The calibration bracket includes: a base, a stand assembly and a beam assembly. The stand assembly is fixedly connected to the base. The beam assembly includes a first beam portion, a second beam portion and a connecting portion, the connecting portion being mounted to the stand assembly, one end of the connecting portion being hinged to the first beam portion, and the other end of the connecting portion being hinged to the second beam portion. The first beam portion and the second beam portion can respectively rotate toward each other relative to the connecting portion, so that the beam assembly can be folded. The first beam portion and the second beam portion can also respectively rotate away from each other relative to the connecting portion, so that the beam assembly can be unfolded.

The bicycle bell of the invention includes a base portion and a bell portion, and the base portion has a limiting column protruding from the base portion, and the bell portion includes a shell assembly and a clapper assembly movably installed in the shell assembly, and the shell assembly is sheathed on the limiting column and can be fixed to a first position and a second position of the limiting column, and the clapper assembly is held by the limiting column to limit the movement of the clapper assembly, when the shell is situated in the second position.

Abstract: A flag demonstration apparatus which prevents flag furling is provided. The apparatus comprises a flagpole which further comprises a bottom portion and a top portion that removably fasten together and sandwich a lower swivel bracket. The apparatus also includes an upper bracket attached near the top of the top portion of the flagpole and is attached to at least one portion of a flag and the lower swivel bracket is attached to at least two portions of the flag. The lower swivel bracket allows the flag to rotate less than 360 degrees about the flagpole and also keeps at least a portion of the flag displayed, regardless of environmental conditions.

Abstract: A flag holder for vehicles including a rack assembly and a clamp assembly is disclosed. These assemblies in conjunction with one another provide a simple solution to retrofitting a flag holder to various pickup truck bed sizes. The rack assembly includes multiple pole sleeves linked together through horizontal segments that run parallel to the truck bed edge the rack assembly is mounted on. The clamp assembly includes a gripping member and a securing member that can tighten and loosen the present invention from the truck bed via a knob. The horizontal segments as well as the pole sleeves include an attachment portion for bumpers to be mounted to. The bumpers help level the rack assembly as well as protect the present invention and vehicle from damage while the vehicle is in motion. Also disclosed is a light assembly that is capable of illuminating face plates from the interior or exterior.

Abstract: A physiological monitor gauge panel defines parameters to display on a physiological monitor via corresponding gauges. Gauge faces depict a range of parameter values for each of the parameters. An indicator designates a position on each gauge face corresponding to the current parameter value within the range of parameter values. The indicated position on each of the gauges is at the mid-point of each of the gauge faces when each of the parameters is at a nominal value.

Abstract: In a particular illustrative embodiment of the present invention, a retractable safety banner system and method are disclosed having a retractable safety banner, a reel housing and a reel. The reel winds in and contains the wound up safety banner inside of the reel housing. The safety banner is reeled into and out of the reel housing through an organizing guide that is formed in the reel housing. The organizing guide forces the reeled out safety banner's flags and strap into longitudinal alignment on the reel so that the safety banner is restored to its original configuration when wound back into the reel housing after deployment. The safety banner includes but is not limited to longitudinal strap with a plurality of safety flags attached to the strap and so that the flags hang at a substantially perpendicular angle from the strap forming the safety banner when the safety banner is deployed.

A first adjuster and a second adjuster are operable to adjust said first separation distance said pair of first indicator jaws and a second separation distance between said second indicator jaws. When the pair of first indicator jaws and the pair of second indicator jaws are equally spaced around the heel, toe, topline, and sole edges of the striking face, the central opening is aligned with the center of the striking face.

Abstract: A smoke generator for anti-burglar purposes comprising canister holding means for holding a canister for chemicals to be used to generate smoke wherein the smoke generator further comprises a smoke deflector arranged below the position of the canister for even distribution of generated smoke, and wherein the smoke deflector have a smoke deflector cavity of sector shape. The smoke generator is provided with a cartridge for the canister to ease replacement of used or expired canister. The smoke deflector is provided with a residual collector to prevent residuals and debris from littering the room where the smoke generator is used.
