Abstract: An exemplary slot-securable point marking tool comprises a first arm extending longitudinally from a base end to a guide leading edge, and a second arm extending longitudinally from the base end to an insertion guide lip. A tool mouth is defined between the guide leading edge and the insertion guide lip. A tool axis extends from the base end to the tool mouth. A point axis is defined orthogonally to the tool axis. The tool mouth is movable in a direction parallel to the point axis between a securement configuration and an expanded configuration. The tool mouth is resiliently biased toward the securement configuration. The second arm includes at least one slot alignment protuberance extending toward the first arm in a direction parallel to the point axis. The second arm includes a marking point element extending along the point axis oppositely of the at least one slot alignment protuberance.

Abstract: Provided are a displacement detector, a surface shape measuring apparatus, and a roundness measuring apparatus capable of measuring displacement in a plurality of directions, having a simple configuration, and capable of highly accurate measurement. A displacement measurer includes: a detector body; a substantially L-shaped stylus having a contactor to be in contact with a measuring surface of an object to be measured; a stylus holding part that is provided in the detector body and holds the stylus in a swingable manner, with a swing plane being a plane including a first direction and a second direction that are perpendicular to each other; and a displacement detecting unit that is provided in the detector body and detects displacement of the contactor associated with contact between the contactor and the measuring surface.

Abstract: A time-temperature integrating (TTi) indicator label comprises an initiator reservoir and a target reservoir, said initiator reservoir containing a pH modification system and said target reservoir comprising a pH responsive indicator. The pH responsive indicator may be photo-initiated. There is also provided a time-temperature indicator label comprising first and second reservoirs separated by a hydrogel valve, said valve allowing passage of an acid from said first reservoir to said second reservoir when the hydrogel valve is activated.

Abstract: A reversible flip-away work-stop for strut systems. The reversible flip-way work stop includes a first component allowing a work stop positioning plate to pivot in a semi-circular motion allowing the work stop positioning plate to be moved and immediately configured in a right-handed configuration or a left-handed configuration without manual disassembly and reassembly in a strut in a strut system. A second component allowing the work stop positioning plate to be micro-adjusted to measurements including thousands of an inch for precisely measuring a material to be cut. A third component includes a pre-determined length to exactly match an alignment of a front face of the work stop positioning plate allowing a measurement to be read on a measuring component in the strut on the strut system without obstruction.

Abstract: A roadway hazard warning assembly for enhancing visibility of a disabled vehicle on a roadway includes a vehicle that has been disabled on the side of a roadway. A warning flag is positionable on the vehicle when the vehicle becomes disabled on the roadway. The warning flag has light reflecting properties for reflecting light from headlights of oncoming traffic. In this way the warning flag can alert the oncoming traffic to the disabled vehicle. A plurality of fastening straps is provided and each of the fastening straps is removably coupled between the warning flag and the vehicle for retaining the warning flag on the vehicle.

Abstract: A level indicator for a telescopic sight can comprise a lower clamp member including a first end defining a threaded aperture and a second end defining a cylindrical head, and an upper clamp member including a first end defining an access hole and a second end defining a socket in which the cylindrical head is receivable. The upper clamp member is rotatable about the cylindrical head to form between the respective first ends of the clamp members a gap through which the telescopic sight is receivable into a space defined between the upper and lower clamp members. A level housing in which a level is received can extend from either clamp member. A single threaded fastener is receivable in the threaded aperture through the access hole to secure the upper clamp member to the lower clamp member around the telescopic sight.

Abstract: A method for providing a visual expiration indication for a surgical instrument includes holding an indicator body in a first position with a detent mechanism to provide a visual in-service indication for the surgical instrument. The indicator body is engaged with a motor and the indicator body is rotated with the motor from the first position to a second position that provides a visual expired indication. The indicator body is prevented from rotating from the second position to the first position with the detent mechanism. The detent mechanism may hold the indicator body in one of only two positions. The visual indications may be displayed through an aperture fixed to the base of the surgical instrument. The indicator body may be elastically deformed when the indicator body is rotated from the first position to the second position. The motor may be rotated to gain momentum before rotating the indicator body.

Abstract: A pressure gauge has a shell, a scale panel, an index pointer, a piston set, and a gear transmission set. The shell has a front end board, a back end board, and a piston base mounted on the inner surface of the back end board. The scale panel is mounted between the front end board of the shell and the back end board of the shell. The index pointer is mounted on a front surface of the scale panel. The piston set is mounted in the piston base of the shell. The gear transmission set is mounted between the back end board of the shell and the scale panel.

Abstract: A device for absorbing, signaling and picking up a product on a floor, the device including: a slender hollow body whose inner walls define a storage volume in which is stored a powder able to absorb the product, where the storage volume opens through an opening for pouring the powder by gravity; a stand on which one end of the body is mounted for forming a signaling marker, where the stand includes a substantially flat base projecting radially relative to the body in order to place the device stably on the floor; and wherein the base includes at least two detachable parts which can be used for picking up a residue formed by the powder and the product.

Abstract: Described implementations provide a level for measuring a level of a target surface. The level has a base structure having a bottom surface, a top surface, a rear surface, and a front surface, and a bubble level disposed on the top surface of the base structure. The bottom surface is disposed at (1) a desired slope angle of the target surface along a first axis, and (2) a predetermined pitch angle along a second axis of the base structure, the second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The bubble level is disposed on the top surface along the first axis to indicate a slope level of the target surface relative to the predetermined slope angle and along the second axis to indicate a pitch level of the target surface relative to the predetermined pitch angle. The base structure has a ledge extending in an engagement direction along a third axis.

The first region includes a third region positioned close to the second region and indicating the output at which the internal combustion engine possibly starts up.

Abstract: A smoke generator for anti-burglar purposes comprising canister holding means for holding a canister for chemicals to be used to generate smoke wherein the smoke generator further comprises a smoke deflector arranged below the position of the canister for even distribution of generated smoke, and wherein the smoke deflector have a smoke deflector cavity of sector shape. The smoke generator is provided with a cartridge for the canister to ease replacement of used or expired canister. The smoke deflector is provided with a residual collector to prevent residuals and debris from littering the room where the smoke generator is used.

Abstract: A locating and identifying device for locating a vehicle includes a pole, a panel, and a coupling means. The panel is coupled to and extends from the pole proximate to a first end of the pole. The coupling means is coupled to a second end of the pole. The coupling means is configured to couple the pole to a vehicle, such as to the roof or to a roof rack, so that the pole extends upwardly from the vehicle to position the panel so that it is viewable to a user, enabling the user to locate and identify the vehicle.

Abstract: A method and apparatus can be used in the selection of correctly sized respiratory interfaces. The method includes the use of light beams to project sizing markers onto a patient's face, which enables the size of the patient's facial features to be measured relative to a set of interface sizes. A sizing apparatus can include a light source and beam splitters that will refract and project the light source into a series of beams that can be aligned on a patient's face in order to measure the features of the patient.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed having a key having a punch pin and a flat magnet keeps the punch pin in place in a metal v-notch hanger on a back side of a picture frame while a user levels a top edge of the picture frame to mark nail locations. A deck, a turret mounted on a top end of the deck, wherein the turret protrudes from the top end of the deck and the turret is gripped by a user as a handle while hanging a picture on a wall using the apparatus; a hook hanger attached to the front side of the deck for hanging a picture frame from a wire on a back of the picture frame; and a hole through the deck for aligning a push pin to pass through the hole and mark a location for an anchor from which the picture frame hangs.

Abstract: A marking apparatus facilitates blind mounting of an object to a mounting surface in a desired alignment using the object as an alignment template. One end of the apparatus is configured to be affixed to a mounting slot or edge of the object, then the other end used to mark the appropriate supporting fastener location on the mounting surface. The object's mounting slots or edges may be represented by mounting hardware components that are flush with, recessed in, or protruding from the local planar surface of the object. To accommodate a broad variety of mounting conditions and mounting hardware, certain embodiments of the apparatus may include selectively adjustable or interchangeable head adapters, distinct head and retention configurations and/or a hardware relief channel A channel adapter is disclosed for use with embodiments of the apparatus having a hardware relief channel. Embodiments of a slot-securable point marking tool are also disclosed.

Abstract: A whistle is structured for promoting hygienic use of the whistle and for maximizing inlet air pressure to generate sound from the whistle. The whistle includes an air inlet having a channelizer for dividing and channeling air flow received from the air inlet through at least two different channels. A sound-generating chamber is in corresponding fluid communication with each of the channels, and an air exhaust is in fluid communication with the sound-generating chamber. The air exhaust is structured and located on the whistle body for generating a sound, and is positioned and structured at a location suitable for directing air flow away from the air exhaust in a generally downwardly and/or opposing direction with respect to a generally horizontal air flow direction at the air inlet.
