  • Patent number: 9234588
Abstract: A flexible stuffing box packing assembly has fifth rings which are placed within a stuffing box. The pressures are transferred along the sequence of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth rings. The gaps between the first and second rings and between the fourth and fifth rings provide a space for expansion of the rings. The V shape recesses in various rings provide margins for the materials of the rings to expansion. Therefore, the structure provides that all rings can expand effectively without destroying the seal structure and the stresses from various rings will disperse effectively so that lifetime of the rings are prolong.

  • Patent number: 9206907
Abstract: Provided is a seal ring which has low-friction characteristics and low-leakage characteristics, reduces drive loss of the automatic transmission of an automobile, and contributes to improvement in fuel consumption of the automobile. The seal ring is attached to a shaft groove on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft. A plurality of recessed sections circumferentially spaced apart from each other with pillar sections interposed therebetween are formed at least on the inner peripheral side of a side surface of the seal ring in contact with the shaft groove. The circumferential opposite ends of each of the recessed sections are formed as squeezing portions formed of curved surfaces convex toward the pillar sections. The depth “h” of a deepest portion in which the axial width of the recessed section is the largest is set in the range of 2 to 17 where the axial width of the seal ring is 100.

  • Patent number: 9206629
Abstract: A device and method, for use with a striker bar to secure an object to an adjacent structure, the device operable from each side of the object. The device includes a latching member and a locking member. The latching member and the locking member are adapted for at least indirect mounting on the structure. The latching member has a leading edge cam and a grapple for engaging the striker bar to establish a latched state. The locking member has a closure portion and both pivots with and slides to engage with the latching mechanism. The members together include a multipart locking assembly operable alone or in combination with a separate lock device. The members secure the striker bar to the device when the members are locked together, thereby securing the object to the structure for establishment of a locked state.

  • Patent number: 9145718
Abstract: A latch assembly with an anti-picking function includes a bracket mounted in a door and located at a top or bottom end of the door. A movable member is slideably received in the bracket. A lever is pivotably mounted in the bracket. A positioning member includes a first pivotal portion pivotably connected to the movable member. The positioning member and the movable member can move jointly. The positioning member further includes a second pivotal portion pivotably connected to the lever. When the lever pivots, the positioning member pivots and actuates the movable member to move, causing movement of a latch between a latching position and an unlatching position. When the latch is in the latching position, a lug of the positioning member abuts against the movable member to prevent the latch from moving from the latching position to the unlatching position by picking.

  • Patent number: 9115514
Abstract: A pawl actuation device includes a movable input member that shifts from a first position to an actuated position. The pawl actuation device also includes linkage that selectively interconnects the movable input member and the pawl such that movement of the movable input member at a first velocity causes the pawl to shift to an unlatched position, and movement of the movable input member at a second velocity that is substantially greater than the first velocity does not cause the pawl to shift to its unlatched position, such that pawl remains in its latched position.

  • Patent number: 9098255
Abstract: A stopping mechanism is disposed on a machine body and a removable device. The stopping mechanism includes a rectilinearly moving action member, a rotationally moving clipping member, and a stopping member fixedly disposed on the machine body, in which the action member pushes and presses against the clipping member so that the clipping member rotates to a holder position. The action member presses against the stopping member fixedly disposed on the machine body through a tilt angle relation at the holder position, so that an accelerating force generated by the removable device under impact is transferred to the machine body, thus dispersing the impact force.

  • Patent number: 9085921
Abstract: The invention relates to an unlatching device (20) for public transportation vehicles, comprising a deflection rocker (4) connected to a first rotatable shaft (6), said deflection rock being connected by means of a connecting element (5), to an unlocking element of a lock and being provided with a projecting driving pin (11), and further comprising an actuating lever (8), which is mounted on the first shaft (6) and rotatable about the first shaft (6), and a cam wheel (1) connected to a second rotatable shaft (7), said cam wheel meshing with the deflection rocker (4). A rotation of the cam wheel (1) causes a pivoting of the deflection rocker (4), and thus a movement of the connecting element (5) and unlocking of the lock. Rotating the actuating lever (8) causes the actuating lever (8) to come in contact with the driving pin (11), and to catch said driving pin and during further rotation also the deflection rocker (4), whereby the connecting element (5) is moved and the lock unlocked.

  • Patent number: 8991869
Abstract: A method for forming a fluid tight seal is disclosed. The method may make use of a first component having a first sealing surface, and a second component having a second sealing surface. The method may further involve coating one of the first and second sealing surfaces with a metallic film layer adapted to transform into a liquefied metallic layer when a temperature of one of the first and second surfaces exceeds a melting temperature of a metal used to form the metallic film layer. Once it becomes liquefied, the liquefied metallic layer forms a pressure-tight seal between the sealing surfaces.

  • Patent number: 8960733
Abstract: A new latch device for a screen door includes inside and outside handle assemblies. Each assembly has a lever adapted to be pivotably connected, respectively, to the inboard and outboard side of the screen door. The inboard lever has a paddle at one end and a stem at the other. The stem extends through an opening formed in the screen door. When the paddle is depressed, the stem moves along a cam surface formed in the outboard lever. This causes the outboard lever to disengage the fastener on the solid door to disconnect the solid door from the screen door. Additionally, when the screen door is in its latched position and not connected to the solid door, depressing the paddle causes the latching end of the outboard lever to disengage the doorjamb so that the screen door can be moved independently from its latched position into its open position.

  • Patent number: 8882162
Abstract: A locking system enabling selective handle turning direction to operate an unlocking mechanism is provided. The system comprises a handle, a gear rack driven linearly by rotation of the handle, and a plate removably coupled to the gear rack by a coupling means, wherein the plate moves in a first linear direction in response to handle rotation. When the coupling means is in a first position to couple the plate to the gear rack, a clockwise rotation of the handle displaces the plate in the first linear direction. When the coupling means is in a second position to couple the plate to the gear rack, a counter-clockwise rotation of the handle displaces the plate in the first linear direction. Movement of the plate in the first direction operates the unlocking mechanism.
