Patent number: 8876178Abstract: A door handle for a sliding door having a handle and a handle base having a pair of opposed arms. The arms are provided with corresponding clips, each clip having an opening that receives a corresponding pivot pin. The handle pivots between the arms on the pivot pins. The pins are axially aligned and slidably installed in the clips for sliding motion to extend towards and retract away from each other, into and out of engagement with the handle. With the pins extended, they engage the handle, preferably with each pin engaging a corresponding insert in each end of the handle. With the pins retracted, the handle may be removed from between the arms of the handle base. The pins are preferably held in the extended position with corresponding wedges that snap into the corresponding clips behind the pins.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2012Date of Patent: November 4, 2014Assignee: Interlock, USA, Inc.Inventors: Peter J. Patent number: 8851535Abstract: A security device for a double door, including a first locking portion having a curved portion and an elongated male portion, and a second locking portion having a curved portion and an elongated female portion. A lock mechanism includes a pair of rows of teeth having a gap therebetween and associated with the bottom side of the male portion and a locking prong mounted to the female portion. The locking prong has a flexible finger portion that terminates in a T-shaped end. The finger portion can slide between the gap in the rows of teeth. A release button mounted on the female portion, when pressed, causes the locking prong to bend downward, disengaging the T-shaped end from between the teeth and allowing the first and second locking portions to separate, thereby unlocking the security device.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2012Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Mountain View Promotions, Inc.Inventors: Hugh Michael Miskel, John Tyler Willis Hagler, Patrick Brian Murphy

Patent number: 8844985Abstract: An improved forced entry resistant sash lock comprises a housing, a shaft rotatably mounted thereto, a locking cam and a delay cam rotatably and fixedly mounted to the shaft, respectively, and a locking spring. The delay cam selectively engages and drives the locking cam between a locked position and an unlocked position. Locking spring biasing causes engagement with a locking earn opening to lock the cam when in the latch-locked position, with engagement to a depth permitting releasable detent engagement in a delay cam recess. Selective engagement and driving of the locking cam comprises a first portion of delay cam rotation being without driven locking cam rotation, and a second portion causing driven locking cam rotation from a retracted position into a protruding position. Selective engagement is by contact between corresponding protrusions on the delay and locking cams. Shaft/delay cam counter-rotation to unlock the latch proceeds in a reverse manner.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2011Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignee: Vision Industries Group, Inc.Inventors: Luke Liang, Tong Liang, David Chen

Patent number: 8827324Abstract: A multi-point lock assembly includes a pair of spaced apart latching members for locking sliding doors, windows or other similar structures. The lock assembly includes a housing rotationally supporting a pair of actuators provided with a plurality of gears arranged in meshed engagement with one another. Rotation of one actuator causes rotation of both actuators in opposite directions, that is, one clockwise and one counterclockwise. Short and long arm assemblies are respectively pivotably connected at their proximal ends to an extended portion of the actuators. The distal end of each arm assembly is guided by a pin received within a track provided in the sidewalls of the housing. The latching members are formed as threaded bolts received within the distal end of each arm assembly. As the actuators are rotated, the distal end of the long and short arm assemblies track along the track within the sidewalls.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2011Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignee: Roto Fasco Canada Inc.Inventor: Robert Furgiuele
