Abstract: Methods and systems for conducting a secure transaction over a network using one or more gateway servers. The methods include receiving a request from a consumer, sending the request to a merchant, and receiving, from the merchant, a payment order associated with the request. The payment order is received via a merchant programmable user interface. The methods also include confirming the payment order to transform the payment order to a confirmed payment order, sending the confirmed payment order to a user, and receiving, from the user, a payment authorization associated with the confirmed payment order, and the payment authorization being received via a consumer programmable user interface. The payment authorization from the user includes a secure, encrypted, Internet Protocol (IP) message using encryption hashed with public and private key management. The methods also include performing a transaction in accordance with the payment authorization.

Abstract: A system and method for managing access rights to a project team area for a community development asset. The system includes an asset consumption dependency generator and a behavior pattern activity analyzer. The asset consumption dependency generator identifies a member of a project team area for a community development asset. The project team area defines access rights of individuals to the community development asset. The behavior pattern activity analyzer identifies a user within a collaborative development network associated with the identified member of the project team area. The behavior pattern activity analyzer also grants an access right to the identified user to access the community development asset based on a social map dependency between the identified user and the identified member.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide an adblocking bypass system for ensuring that advertisements are loaded and presented on a user device running one or more adblockers. The adblocking bypass system is comprised of a bypass loader and a bypass proxy. The bypass loader is a component that is embedded within content publisher content. When the content publisher content is downloaded and parsed by a user device, the bypass loader executes by detecting the presence of any adblocker on the user device. If found, the bypass loader forwards any blocked advertisement calls to the bypass proxy. The bypass proxy retrieves the requested advertisements and returns them to the bypass loader which then reintroduces the advertisements in final content presentation or rendering. The bypass proxy may also modify the content publisher content by replacing any blocked advertisement calls embedded within the content with calls to the bypass proxy.

Abstract: A method for combating website spoofing can be used in connection with a website for a financial institution accessible by a plurality of users. Registration information is stored for a user having a financial account with the financial institution, including user login information and customization information for a website associated with the financial institution. A marker is issued, to be stored on a computer used by the user to access the website. At some point, a request is received from the user to display a webpage of the website on the computer, and the user is recognized based on the marker. A webpage is then provided to the computer, having an interface with an attribute customized according to the customization information. The user login information is entered via the website. Upon receiving the user login information, the user is provided access to the financial account.

Abstract: A back-channel media delivery system that may be used for tracking the number and type of human impressions of media content rendered by the system during the time the media was rendered is provided. The back-channel media delivery system includes a rendering device for rendering media, an environmental sensor for sensing impressions and other environmental variables and a computing device configured to play media on the rendering device, and gather data related to the external states detected by the environmental sensor. The system may include rules that interpret that data and may cause the system to custom select, tailor or control future playback of media on the system.

Abstract: A system for providing a predetermined set of functionality to primary applications is provided. The system includes a primary application interface that receives a user identifier, primary application configuration data and an application identifier associated with one of the primary applications from a plurality of primary applications, wherein the user identifier and the application identifier for each of the primary applications are different. A feature functionality system alters one or more features to match the primary application, the feature functionality system configured to provide a feature to a user associated with the user identifier and to transfer a primary application currency amount to the primary application or to award the user a prize upon completion of the feature by the user. A billing system interface unlocks external feature functionality for a certain number of interactions or a certain time period or generates the primary application currency amount.

Abstract: Various election methods are provided wherein voters are able to verify their votes through public means. In one embodiment, each of the ballots includes a ballot identifier and each of the choices thereon is associated with a selection identifier. After the completed ballots are received by the voting authority, the authority publishes the ballot identifiers obtained from the ballots in association with the selection identifiers of the selected choices to enable each voter to verify his or her vote. In another embodiment, the voter provides the ballot identifier and the selection identifiers of the selected choices on a delivery mechanism (e.g., envelope). The relevant identifiers are then obtained by the authority from the delivery mechanisms and published. In another embodiment, the voters generate their own selection identifiers on the ballot which are then published by the authority to enable each voter to verify his or her vote.

Abstract: Fuel dispensing transactions may be accomplished by a variety of systems and techniques. A fuel dispensing device may include a payment module, a data entry device, and a customer display. The payment module may receive a first communication from a point of sale device requesting an encrypted response and receive a second communication from the point of sale device requesting an unencrypted response. The module may match the first communication to a first corresponding library entry, match the second communication to a second corresponding library entry, determine a user response based on one of the first corresponding library entry or the second corresponding library entry, where the user response defines one of the encrypted response based on the first corresponding library entry or the unencrypted response based on the second corresponding library entry, and use the corresponding library entry to generate a visual customer display requesting the user response.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and analyzing computer tag information for the prevention or detection of potential fraud. Computers and other devices accessing the Web carry device tags with date and time information describing when they were issued by a security tag server. A server time stamp may be inserted into time based computer tags such as a cookies indicating when they were created. Such time stamp information can be encrypted and analyzed during future attempts to access a secure network such as a customer attempting to log into an online banking account. When the time stamp information from the tag is compared to other selected information about the user, device and/or account, including but not limited to last account log-in date/time or account creation date, the invention may be used to detect suspicious activity.

Abstract: Disclosed are a certification mobile terminal, and an electronic transaction system and method using the same. A certificate is downloaded to a mobile terminal from a certification authority. In a wired electronic transaction, a user's transaction history is provided to the mobile terminal from a service providing server or a user's transaction terminal, and the mobile terminal digitally signs the transaction history by using a stored digital certificate and provides the digitally signed transaction history to the service providing server or the transaction terminal so that the service providing server may finally receive the digitally signed transaction history. The service providing server settles the transaction with the user according to the digitally signed transaction history, and provides a service to the user. Also, in the offline transaction, the certificate stored in the mobile terminal is provided to a system to thereby execute stable transactions based on the certificate.

Abstract: A systems and methods are described detect fraud in existing logs of raw data. There can be several disparate logs, each including data of disparate data types and generated by different and possibly unrelated software enterprise applications. The fraud management system aggregates and organizes the raw log data, archives the data in a manner that facilitates efficient access and processing of the data, allows for investigation of potentially fraudulent usage scenarios, and uses the results of the investigation to identify patterns of data that correspond to correspond to high risk usage scenarios and/or process steps. In subsequent processing, archived data can be compared against the identified patterns corresponding to high risk usage scenarios to detect matches, and the invention thereby automatically detects high risk usage scenarios and issues appropriate alerts and reports.

Abstract: A system for procuring services such as, in particular, rideshare opportunities and transportation services, has at least one stationary server and a multitude of subscribers including suppliers and interested parties. The system includes a communications arrangement which enable at least an information exchange between the stationary server and the subscribers. The system further includes a positioning arrangement for determining the current position of the subscribers, and a memory arrangement for at least temporary storage of data and positions of the subscribers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, and include a method for fraud prevention. A method includes receiving registration information for a user, including identities of the user and an authenticating device and a payment source identifier, and storing the registration information. A payment authorization request relating to a transaction purported to be by the user and including the payment source identifier is received. Using the payment source identifier, the identity of the user and the authenticating device is retrieved. A communication is provided to the user including transaction information. The message is delivered to the user at the authenticating device. The method also includes receiving (and subsequently forwarding) either a payment authorization or a payment repudiation responsive to the communication from the user by way of the authenticating device.

Characterizing information is generated that designates the identified digital content, and usage rights for the identified digital content are determined based on the characterizing information, for example, based on a comparison of the characterizing information that designates the identified digital content to a plurality of characterizing information. Usage of the identified digital content may also be controlled based on the determined usage rights. Related systems, methods, devices, and computer program products are discussed.

The method comprises the following steps: the first client requests the server for data update; the server analyzes the request of the first client and takes the control measurement to the data that the client requests to update according to the predetermined control policy, and performs the subsequent process after the data requested by the client meet the control policy; the server informs the first client to update the data; the first client updates the data; the server informs the second client that the data of the first client has been updated; the second client acquires the updated data. The present invention discloses also a control system and a control equipment achieving the above method. The server takes the unified central control notification mode according to the present invention to effectively control the propagation approach of the personalized data.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to managing licenses for playback of digital content. A license management device may create licenses that determine the number of playback devices that can be authorized by the license. Each license may be included in a corresponding digital content. In addition, each license may be distributed to a set of playback devices. Thereafter, a playback device may playback digital content that includes a license when the playback device stores a matching license. A single license can be used to provide authorization to play digital content from multiple sources and/or multiple types of content. Playback devices can store multiple licenses, which allows playback devices to belong to multiple sets of playback devices authorized to playback various digital content. In one embodiment digital content files can contain multiple licenses to allow the content files to be shared by multiple sets of playback devices.

Abstract: Novel wager gaming systems, machines, and methods for ensuring that wager game code on a game disc executes on an authorized wager gaming machine are described. To prevent an unauthorized copy of a wager game disc or other storage medium is not able to execute on a gaming machine, the machine checks whether an authorization code has been previously written to the disc. If the disc does not have a code, the gaming machine generates a first segment of an authorization code which is used, along with other data, by a game provider to generate a final authorization code. This is done after the game provider verifies that the machine operator has permission, such as a license, to execute that game code contained on that specific disc. The final authorization code is transmitted to the gaming machine, equipped with a writeable optical disc drive, where it is written or “burned” onto the game disc. At this stage the game disc is tied to or associated with the gaming machine and can execute on that machine.

Abstract: A customizable situational awareness system is described that allows a user to customize the type of information that the user receives through a user interface, e.g., a dashboard, displayed by the system. In particular embodiments, the system can allow the user to configure alerts that are sent to the user's mobile or other device based on situational awareness events. In further embodiments, the customizable situational awareness system receives user configuration data related to flight events, maintenance events, and alerts. When the system receives situational awareness data, the system can retrieve the user's configuration data and display the situational awareness data based on the user's configuration data. Thus, aspects of the customizable situational awareness system allow the user to access information that is more relevant to the user and to filter out less relevant information.
