The groupware object may include a first Uniform Resource Identifier for subscribing a feed reader of a client device to a channel including the one or more sequentially-updated content items, and a second Uniform Resource Identifier to access a copy of the one or more sequentially-updated content items stored on the client device.

Abstract: A first relay server transmits, to an access management apparatus that manages an access right to a second relay server, an access request with respect to the second relay server. The access management apparatus confirms that the access right to the second relay server is set in the first relay server, and then requests the second relay server to permit an access by the first relay server. In a case where the second relay server permits the access from the first relay server, the access management apparatus notifies the first relay server of such access permission. Based on the notice from the access management apparatus, the first relay server establishes a routing session with the second relay server. By using the routing session, the first relay server starts the communication with a general server that serves as a maintenance target.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a camera system for use in surgical applications. The camera system comprises an image processor; and an imaging device coupled to the image processor, wherein calibration of the imaging device occurs automatically upon coupling the imaging device to the image processor. A method of transmitting data is also disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an integrated host and subsystem port selection methodology that uses performance measurements combined with information about active data paths. This technique also helps in resilient fabric planning by selecting ports from redundant fabrics. In a typical embodiment, host port to storage port pairs that create a path between a host and a storage device will be identified. From these pairs, a set of host port to storage port candidates for communicate data from the host to the storage device will be identified based on a set of resiliency constraints. Then, a specific host port to storage port pair will be selected from the set based on a lowest joint workload measurement. A path will then be created between the specific host port and storage port, and data will be communicated from the host to the storage device via the path.

Abstract: A CPU executes a communication partner search process for searching for a communication partner (another game machine). The CPU confirms received data content. If identification information included in the received data matches, application identification information saved in a wireless communication module is compared with application identification information included in the received data. When the pieces of application identification information match, a notice that another game machine having exchange data corresponding to the matched application identification information is found is given to a main body. Then, giving/receiving of exchange data is executed to/from another game machine.

Abstract: A storage file format for replaying an adaptively streamed multimedia stream, a client apparatus using the storage file format, and a method of storing a multimedia stream in the client apparatus are provided. According to the storage file format, meta-information for playing fragments and fragment access meta-information for replaying fragments are added to fragments.

Abstract: A micro-camera catheter device is disclosed comprising at least one light source disposed on a distal end of a catheter. The light source is capable of propagating a predetermined wavelength of light with a wavelength between approximately 1000 nanometers and approximately 2000 nanometers onto a target. The device further comprises a lens system disposed on the distal end of the catheter, said lens system configured to receive light reflected from the target. The device further comprises a non-linear optical media disposed behind the lens system configured to modify the light reflected from the target. The device also comprises a silicon-based solid state imaging device disposed behind the non-linear optical media configured to receive light from the non-linear optical media.

The method may include determining, by a local bus node, using a first power level communication protocol, that a remote bus node is available, obtaining, by the local bus node, connection information from the remote bus node using a second power level communication protocol, wherein the connection information comprises connection information for one or more remote endpoints associated with the remote bus node, and generating one or more local virtual endpoints, wherein each of the one or more local virtual endpoints corresponds to each of the one or more remote endpoints, and wherein the remote endpoint is described with reference to a well-known name, unique to the remote endpoint.

Abstract: There is provided a method of providing customized advertisement/news in a scalable application service system. The method of providing customized advertisement/news for a scalable application service server includes: substituting an advertisement/news component of existing content with a Scalable Application Description Language (SADL) component to create SADL integrated document; receiving an application request requesting transmission of the existing content, the application request including delivery context about a terminal; applying the delivery content about the terminal to parse the SADL integrated document, thereby creating customized content including customized advertisement/news; and transmitting an application response including the customized content to the terminal.

In one aspect, a method includes automatically generating profiles for persons identified in messages, such as incoming and outgoing emails. Messages flagged as spam can be checked against the profile to identify false positives.

Further, a high-order title screen data is generated and sent to the user terminal when the server device obtains the high-order title reference request and the high-order title screen data is displayed on a screen in the user terminal.

The communication based on the reply message has a reply source indicator that is the same as the intended destination indicator identified by the sender of the original message. In one example, a message is sent from computer operating an instant messaging program and forwarded to a mobile telephone. The reply sent from the mobile telephone is provided to the sender of the original message without revealing the telephone number of the mobile telephone to which the original instant message was forwarded.

Abstract: A virtualization mechanism may create a virtual representation of a group of physical computers and the physical connections between the computers. The mechanism may comprise a discovery tool for determining a topology of connected physical computers and selecting the elements to virtualize, a device virtualization tool that may create virtual versions of the physical computers, and a connection virtualization tool that may create virtual connections between the virtual computers. The virtual devices and virtual connections may then be operated virtually. In many cases, optimized versions of the virtual devices and virtual connections may be performed.

Abstract: A technique for creating a connection is disclosed. The technique includes receiving instructions to set a first endpoint, receiving instructions to set a second endpoint, receiving instructions to set a connection between the first and second endpoints, and transferring the instructions to set the two endpoints and the connection to network elements associated with the two endpoints after receiving the instructions to set the connection. A technique for retrieving a connection endpoint index from a connection table is also disclosed. The technique includes reading a common index column element, wherein the common index column contains indexes corresponding to a plurality of service types, and interpreting the index column element based on an interface index that identifies the service type.

Abstract: A method for managing distributed computing. The method comprises estimating, for each of a plurality of local computing nodes, a distribution of multidimensional values in a space. Each multidimensional value is calculated according to a plurality of locally monitored parameters. The method further includes calculating safe zones in the space where each safe zone is defined according to a respective estimated distribution under a global geometric constraint in the space and setting local geometric constraints for the local computing nodes according to the respective safe zones. Each local geometric constraint is defined such that a detection of at least one monitored multidimensional value violating it by a respective local computing node induces a communication event between the respective local computing node and one or more central computing nodes.

Abstract: An IS monitoring approach is described that is capable of monitoring the availability of various software components. A further capability is that the availability of the individual software components upon which a specific business logic process depends may each be individually and continuously checked, in a combined fashion that is referenced to the specific business logic process, so that the status of the business logic process itself (e.g., operable or non-operable) can be continuously determined on an on-going basis. Moreover, operability or non-operability can be established over a wide range of different business logic processes on a process by process basis.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present method and apparatus for performance and policy analysis in distributed computing systems includes representing a distributed computing system as a state transition model. A queuing network is then superimposed upon the state transition model, and the effects of one or more policies on the distributed computing system performance are identified in accordance with a solution to the queuing network.

Abstract: A server with an interface for connecting to a server system and server system is provided. The server includes an interface for connecting a server system, and features a component carrier for holding several servers with a serial management bus and several servers that are connected to the management bus via serial interfaces, wherein one server is set up as a management server and other servers are set up as data-processing servers. The management server has an acknowledgement device that, after sending a control command to a management bus of the server system, generates an acknowledge signal for acknowledging the control command. Furthermore, the server system is set up such that information is transmitted in a unidirectional manner from the management server to the data-processing servers via the serial management bus.
