Abstract: A computer-implemented method and device for secure checkout in a retail environment such as at a point of sale location in a store. Each of a customer and a sales associate at the point of sale operate respective mobile communication devices that are equipped to exchange signals and receive the same from one another. The sales associate device sends, inter alia, a physical signal causing the customer device to link to a payment application and server, which is followed by a sequence of authentication steps enabled by a physical authentication unit on the customer's device to ensure and confirm authenticated secure transactions.

Abstract: The DYNAMIC PAYMENT OPTIMIZATION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DPO”) transform requests for on-demand and flexible monetization and related services via DPO components into currency transfers, purchase receipt notifications, social networking communications and transaction analytics reports. In some embodiments, the DPO obtains a user product purchase request for a user engaged in an online experience at a point of sale device. The DPO parses the user product purchase request, and thereby identifies at least one attribute of at least one of: the user; the online experience; and the point of sale device. The DPO customizes one or more properties of a user interface for initiating a purchase transaction related to the user product purchase request, according to the identified at least one attribute of the user, the online experience or the point of sale device; and providing the customized user interface.

Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for processing payment transactions that are conducted using a mobile device that includes a contactless element, such as an integrated circuit chip. The invention enables the updating, correction or synchronization of transaction data maintained by an Issuer with that stored on the device. This is accomplished by using a wireless (cellular) network as a data communication channel for data provided by an Issuer to the mobile device, and is particularly advantageous in circumstances in which the contactless element is not presently capable of communication with a device reader or point of sale terminal that uses a near field communications mechanism. Data transferred between the mobile device and Issuer may be encrypted and decrypted to provide additional security and protect the data from being accessed by other users or applications.

Abstract: A method and system for facilitating processing of cross-border transactions are discussed. The method includes accessing transaction terms offered by third-party financial service providers, the transaction terms offered for processing of transactions, the transaction terms obtained from remotely located computing devices associated with the third-party financial service providers. Responsive to receiving cross-border financial transaction information, the method includes comparing information on the transaction terms to determine possible third-party financial service providers available to process a cross-border financial transaction using a funding source from funding sources. The method includes selecting, based on the comparing, a particular third-party financial service provider from the possible third-party financial service providers for processing the cross-border financial transaction.

Abstract: Certain aspects of a method and system for communicating location of a mobile device for hands-free payment may include a peer-to-peer ad-hoc network that comprises a plurality of mobile devices, a plurality of access points, and a plurality of point of sale (POS) devices. A first mobile device may determine its location coordinates and communicate them to a selected POS device via the peer to peer ad-hoc network. At least one of the plurality of mobile devices and/or the plurality of access points may be within a defined proximity of the selected POS device. In some instances, the first POS device may receive via one or more intermediate mobile devices in the peer-to-peer ad-hoc network, location coordinates and payment transaction information of a selected mobile device. At least one of the intermediate mobile devices may be within a defined proximity of the first POS device.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancing search results based on recent user interactions. As described herein, embodiments may infer various refinements for search queries; these refinements are based, at least in part, on the user's recent interactions with the search platform (e.g., within a current session). In other words, as the user is interacting with the search platform, one or more refinements may be inferred to help make the search results more relevant to the user.

Abstract: A fuel pre-purchasing and sharing system (and associated methods) is disclosed herein. The system allows consumers to pre-purchase fuel at a pre-purchased price, and redeem pre-purchased fuel at a subsequent time regardless of the current price of fuel posted at the point of re-fueling. The pre-purchased price can be based on current fuel prices of fuel at one or more service stations that are near to a consumer at the time that the fuel is pre-purchased. Pre-purchased fuel of one or more grades of fuel can be held in a pre-purchased fuel tank. The pre-purchased fuel tank can be shared with other consumers such that the other consumers can redeem pre-purchased fuel held in the pre-purchased fuel tank.

Abstract: An environment monitoring method including measuring data from a plurality of sensors, wherein each of the plurality of sensors includes a unique identifier (UID). The method further includes instructing each of the plurality of sensors to measure data. The method also includes receiving the measured data from each of the plurality of sensors. The method then calculates a product degradation value of a product based on the measured data and compares the product degradation value with a threshold product degradation value. In response to the product degradation value of the product exceeding the threshold produce degradation value, the method generates and sends an alert to a device.

Abstract: A system for automated supplier invoice reconciliation is disclosed. The system may receive an order confirmation associated with a purchase order (PO) from a supplier system. The system may receive the PO associated with the order confirmation from a buyer system. The system may receive a first invoice associated with the PO and the order confirmation from the supplier system. The system may reconcile between the PO, the first invoice, and the order confirmation to generate a second invoice. The system may pass the second invoice to the buyer system.

Abstract: A system for performing smart auditing of a picking sub-process of an order fulfilment process in a warehousing environment includes a set of cameras arranged to capture videos of the picking sub-process in real-time, and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based processor communicatively coupled to the set of cameras. The AI based processor includes an input component for receiving and processing the captured videos to generate a processed video, and a processing component including an order process data analysis component for analysing the processed video to detect order process specific deviations, and a historical data analysis component for analysing the processed video based on historical behavioural data of corresponding order picker. The AI based processor further includes a triggering component for triggering a quality process correcting event for one or more pallets based on the analysis performed by the processing component.

Abstract: An aircraft tire management system includes a management device capable of communicating with a tire manufacturer, an MRO-providing company, and an airline through a network, and an acquisition device configured to acquire tire individual information on aircraft tires and wheel individual information on wheels. The acquisition device sends the tire individual information acquired in the tire manufacturer to the management device, sends the tire individual information and the wheel individual information on each aircraft tire fitted on the corresponding wheel acquired in the MRO-providing company to the management device, and sends the wheel individual information acquired in the airline to the management device. The management device links the tire individual information with the wheel individual information, and outputs tire management information including at least tire identification information, location information, and date and time information.

Abstract: A method and system for using incentives at transaction devices are discussed. The method includes receiving a transaction request for processing by a transaction device. The method includes obtaining incentive information associated with incentives from payment instruments for the transaction. The method includes comparing the incentive information to incentive terms offered by financial service providers to determine possible financial service providers able to process the transaction, the incentive terms accessed from remotely located computing devices. The method includes selecting, based on comparing, a preferred payment instrument from the payment instruments and a particular financial service provider from the possible financial service providers for transaction processing. The method includes submitting, according to a protocol used by the particular financial service provider, information related to the transaction and the preferred payment instrument to the particular financial service provider.

The method may include receiving an authorization request message for a transaction from a merchant computing device, detecting payment account information and an identifier which are included in the authorization request message, where the identifier identifies the payment account information as being from a payment account on file, and authorizing the transaction based on the detected payment account information and the detected identifier.

Abstract: A transaction authentication system authenticates a transaction by determining whether a mobile device and POS device involved in the transaction are at the same location. A POS registry stores location data for POS devices. A PAN registry stores mobile device IDs corresponding to account numbers. A mobile device ID can be provided from the PAN registry in response to receiving an account number from a POS device. The mobile device ID can then be used to retrieve location information from a home location register maintained by a mobile service provider. The retrieved location data for a POS device and the retrieved location data for a mobile device are compared.

Abstract: A method is proposed for a payer, to make a payment to a payee, such as a merchant. The payer's communication device automatically acquires payment facilitation data comprising payee account identification data identifying a payment account associated with the payee and maintained by an acquirer. The payment facilitation data preferably also includes transaction data describing the payment, such as the amount of the payment. From the payment facilitation data, the communication device generates a payment request which is transmitted to an issuer at which the payer maintains a payment account. The issuer communicates with the acquirer, typically via a payment network, to arrange for a payment to be made, and the payment is credited to the payment account associated with the payee, and debited from the payment account associated with the payer. Thus, a payment is effected without the payee ever receiving confidential information about the payer's payment account.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to an application for obtaining groceries or other merchandise and, more particularly, a one tap/command grocery ordering via self-driving mini marts and seamless checkout-free technology. Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to automated tool tracking for service technicians. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a tool tracking system can collect tool data from a vehicle system of a vehicle. The tool data can be associated with a tool that is to be utilized by a service technician to provide, at least in part, a service at a customer location. The tool tracking system can store the tool data in a data store. The tool tracking system can map the tool data to the vehicle and can determine when the tool is no longer mapped to the vehicle. This can be indicative of the tool having been left, for example, at the customer location. The tool tracking system can create an alert to inform the service technician and/or another entity that the tool is no longer mapped to the vehicle.

Abstract: A system can implement a delivery service for a service region by monitoring, for each respective sub-region of the service region, supply conditions corresponding to transport providers available to deliver menu items from menu item suppliers to requesting users. When the supply conditions have dropped below the equilibrium threshold for a respective sub-region, the system can initiate a supply-constrained mode for the respective sub-region in which the system inputs each respective menu item request received, corresponding to a delivery location within the respective sub-region, into a queue, and dynamically determines a fulfillment probability for the respective menu item request. When the fulfillment probability of the respective menu item request exceeds a fulfillment threshold, the system can transmit the respective menu item request to a corresponding menu item supplier for preparation of a corresponding menu item and coordinate delivery of the corresponding menu item to the requesting user.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include systems and methods for systematic crowdsourcing of geolocation data. Transaction data that includes an identification of a point of sale device and an identification of a payment vehicle used in the transaction can be received. A confidence in a location of the point-of-sale device can be calculated. When the confidence of the location of the point-of-sale device is lower than a threshold confidence, a location of a device associated with an owner of the payment vehicle can be determined. An updated confidence in the location of the point-of-sale device can be generated based at least in part on the location of the device.
