Abstract: An improved computerized ecommerce system, optimized for smaller merchants such as florists who often provide seasonal perishable gifts that require local delivery, and who often desire to form cooperative networks with local merchants offering related gift services, as well as other related merchants such as other florists in more distant locations. The web server based system allows merchants to easily set up non-static (time variable) websites that automatically provide schedule driven promotions. New products can be quickly uploaded from smartphones, and sophisticated time and location aware algorithms can compute accurate delivery costs and make such costs transparent to customers. Other participating merchants can be easily added to the system to form local and distant cooperative merchant networks. The system simplifies customer use of promotional offers by cross checking customer URL versus promotion lists.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a centralized approach to multidimensional accounting are provided. Exemplary embodiments of systems and methods include the creation of GAAP-independent and GAAP-dependent posting documents in an accounting database. The GAAP-independent and GAAP-dependent posting documents may be stored separately in the accounting database, and a given GAAP-independent posting document may be associated with multiple GAAP-dependent posting documents, allowing for significant reductions in data volume and data reconciliation processing costs.

Abstract: Described are systems and methods that facilitate visual search for and price filtering of information. For example, rather than requiring a user to select a pre-defined price range (e.g., “under $25,” $25 to $50,” “$50 to $100”) for filtering, a user may price filter search results by specifying a single price filtering value around which the search results are filtered. The range around the single price filtering value is dynamically selected based on, for example, the search results being filtered, the past purchase history of the user, past user search history, etc.

Abstract: An inventory management system includes at least one hardware processor and an inventory management engine executing on the at least one hardware processor. The inventory management engine is configured to receive, from a mobile computing device of a consumer, product information associated with an article offered for sale in a retail establishment of a merchant, a product tag is attached to the article and includes a tag ID, the tag ID being a unique identifier assigned to the product tag. The inventory management engine also receives the tag ID from the mobile computing device, generates an online listing for the article in an online marketplace, the online listing including the product information, associates the tag ID with the online listing, determines that the merchant is associated with the article, and places the online listing for sale in the online marketplace on behalf of the merchant.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for scanning computer infrastructure within a computer network includes a first host device and a second host device having distinct operating systems. The host devices are coupled to a controller server. The method includes deploying a first scan program to the host devices. The method includes installing a first tool set on the first host device, installing a second tool set on the second host device, executing the first scan program on the first host device for gathering and storing a first set of inventory data on the first host device, executing the first scan program on the second host device for gathering and storing a second set of inventory data on the second host device, collecting the first set of inventory data from the first host device and the second set of inventory data from the second host device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for optimizing handling of breakpoints in a Java debugger agent. Embodiments provide a novel command that allows execution of the application in the debugger to stop or break at the beginning of a next called function or method (e.g., a “break on next called function” or “BNCF” command). When the BNCF command is given to the debugger, a flag may be set in the interpreter of the virtual machine to which the debugger is attached. On encountering a new method or function call, the flag is examined by the interpreter to determine whether it should stop or break in that call. If the flag is set, the interpreter will stop; otherwise the interpreter proceeds.

Abstract: The instant application describes an inventory control system including an object storage device including a drawer or a tray for housing objects; a sensing device configured to acquire an image including information about the objects stored in the object storage device; an interface circuitry in communication with the sensing device and configured to generate object data based on the image acquired by the sensing device; and a processor configured to provide an integrated network access and transmit the object data across a network using a Web Service as defined by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the Web Service being a data link interface between the inventory control system and a remote system.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for predicting a status of a transaction are described. Feature data related to one or more transactions is collected and a subset of features is selected for use in predicting the status of the transaction. A model is trained using the collected feature data that corresponds to the selected features, and the model is applied to feature data of a selected transaction to generate a probability of the selected transaction attaining one or more defined statuses. Mitigating or preventive actions are performed based on the generated probability.

Abstract: A stored value card activation system includes a server in communication with one or more computing devices configured in kiosks. The server receives stored value card type information associated with one of multiple non-activated stored value cards from the computing device. The server also receives monetary amount information to be associated with the selected stored value card from the kiosk, and payment information from a user of the kiosk. From this information, the server conducts a financial transaction with a financial account server associated with an account of the user, and activates the selected stored value card in accordance with the financial transaction.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for charging or billing for access to wireless power. The device requiring power communicates with the power provider and the billing method is determined. A consumer may be required to provide billing information, or if the billing information is already associated with an existing account, the consumer account is automatically charged for the wireless power. The account may include prepaid charging minutes that are debited as wireless power is provided, or the account may be billed for the wireless power that is provided. The charging/billing for the wireless power may be used to receive value for the power that is provided, while remaining consumer friendly.

Abstract: Various systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for facilitating payment for a transaction. One example method may comprise capturing an image comprising a transaction bill and a form of payment for providing payment for the transaction. The example method may further comprise posting payment for the transaction to a point-of-sale terminal based at least in part on the captured image. Similar and related methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: Techniques are provided herein for utilizing an inventory engine to optimize the selection of a set of items to be stored as inventory at a storage location. A candidate set of items may be identified based at least in part on a selection model. In accordance with at least one embodiment, the selection model may be based at least in part on a capacity of the storage location and a threshold time duration by which purchased items of the set of items are to be transported from the storage location to a purchaser. A plurality of probability values corresponding to the candidate set of items may be determined. An optimal set of items may be determined based at least in part on the candidate set of items and the plurality of probability values.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for performing online charging for text messages. One embodiment comprises a system that handles a Mobile Originated (MO) text message. The system receives a send request for the MO text message, and generates an online credit request for the MO text message. The system determines a type of originating network for the MO text message, and inserts an indicator of the originating network type in the online credit request. The system may also determine a type of terminating network for the MO text message, and insert an indicator of the terminating network type in the online credit request. The system then transmits the online credit request to an online charging system to charge for the MO text message.

Abstract: A recommendation system divides users into a plurality of segments based on scores generated for each of a plurality of users of an electronic service that provides functionality for users to browse and purchase or select items. The scores can be RFM (Recency, Frequency, and Monetary amount) scores based on at least purchase or selection recency, purchase or selection frequency, and in some instances, the monetary amount spent. The recommendation system can further detect behavior-based correlations between particular segments and particular items and/or item attributes. The correlations can be based on purchase or selection histories of the users assigned to specific segments. The recommendation system can select items to recommend to particular users based at least partly on the detected behavior-based correlations.

Abstract: Value documents such as coupons and event tickets that are represented or indexed in the form of QR codes or other types of two-dimensional encoding techniques may be acquired by imaging with a suitably-enabled mobile device, and then translated in the mobile device into a form suitable for presentation as a one-dimensional barcode at a point-of-sale/service using light-simulated barcode technology.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing personalized delivery services by a carrier providing a package delivery service. For example, a consignee may indicate a delivery preference to be applied to delivery of a package, such as indicating a specific location where the package is to be left upon delivery, if the consignee is not present to accept the package. In one embodiment, the consignee may be notified by the carrier of the scheduled delivery of the package, and may be linked to the carrier's web site to indicate a delivery preference. Alternatively, the delivery preference may be indicated by the consignee proactively accessing the web site. After conveying a delivery preference, the carrier's systems communicate the delivery preference at the appropriate time to a portable computing device which informs the delivery personnel of the consignee's delivery preference. Other embodiments allow the consignor to indicate delivery preferences.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying incoming ACH transactions involving subscriber accounts at a financial institution, comparing the ACH transaction details with preset notification criteria, suspending any ACH transaction that satisfy the preset criteria so that the transaction does not post to the account, notifying the subscriber of the incoming ACH transaction, providing the subscriber with the option to either authorize or dispute the ACH transaction, and facilitating the dispute process according to applicable banking rules by requesting further information from the subscriber and forwarding the dispute information to the ACH operator.

Abstract: Methods and corresponding system are provided herewith that, in at least one embodiment, include the act or acts of: receiving a request to reserve a service that is provided by a restaurant. The request to reserve is for a particular time and a particular date and the service comprises at least one of: (i) preparing a consumable good that is consumed at the restaurant's location; (ii) preparing a consumable good that is received at the restaurant's location; or (iii) preparing a consumable good that is delivered to a location external to the restaurant's location. The methods and system also include comparing the particular time requested with a schedule associated with the restaurant. The schedule comprises a list of times that are available for reservation. The methods and system also include determining an availability of the request to reserve; and outputting an indicia that the request to reserve the service has been accepted or denied.

Abstract: A mobile ordering system for a restaurant configured to request processing of an order made by a customer with a mobile device when the customer enters a predetermined geographic region associated with the restaurant as determined by a server configured to process global positioning satellite (“GPS”) data received from the mobile device. A user associated with the restaurant uses the mobile restaurant ordering system to define the predetermined geographic region. The server may be configured to dynamically alter the predefined geographic region associated with the restaurant based on certain factors associated with the restaurant, the order, and/or the customer.
