Abstract: A phosphorous compound such as STMP is used as a cross-linking agent while making a starch nanoparticle in an emulsion process. Negative charge of the nanoparticle is reduced or reversed by adding cations and/or cationizing the starch optionally while forming the nanoparticles. Anionic active agents, such as fluoride or fluorescein, are optionally incorporated into the nanoparticle during the formation process. For example, a fluoride salt can also be used, which promotes the crosslinking reaction while also providing fluoride in the nanoparticle. The retention of both calcium and fluoride in the nanoparticle is improved when both salts are used. Alternatively, the nanoparticle may be used without added calcium and/or fluoride. The nanoparticles may be useful for tooth remineralization, the treatment of dentinal hypersensitivity, to treat caries, or as a diagnostic agent to locate carious lesions.
Abstract: A photocurable resin composition for nails or artificial nails, contains the following components (A) to (D): a component (A): a urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer, a component (B): a monomer selected from the group consisting of a (meth)acrylate monomer, a (meth)acrylamide monomer, and (meth)acrylic acid (excluding the component (A)), a component (C): polyglycerol having no (meth)acryloyl group and/or a compound having a polyglyceryl ether skeleton having no (meth)acryloyl group, a component (D): a photoinitiator. A molecular weight of the component (C) is 200 or more.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a composition that comprises a recombinant plasmid (RP) with a sequence of nucleic acids. The sequence comprise a start region, an end region and an insert positioned between the start region and the end region. The insert encodes for a sequence of micro interfering ribonucleic acid (miRNA) that may be complementary to a sequence of target messenger RNA (mRNA) that encodes for translation of a target biomolecule. The miRNA can cause the target mRNA to be degraded or inactivated, thereby causing a decrease in bioavailability of the target biomolecule because it is degraded or inactivated by the miRNA, thereby decreasing the bioavailability of the target biomolecule. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the target biomolecule is an immune checkpoint protein.
Abstract: Therapeutic compositions, primarily for topical application, and methods of making and using the composition. Pharmaceutical compositions formulated for specific forms of administration are also provided.
Abstract: This application provides, among other things, novel aqueous biphasic compositions comprising two distinct aqueous phases, useful for combining and delivering poorly compatible ingredients, for example to deliver effective levels of cationic antibacterial agents in combination with anionic polymers, e.g. that protect against erosion and staining, by addition of a stabilizing amount of a polyamine, e.g. lysine, and methods for making and using the same.
