Abstract: A computer system includes a server and a computing device. The server include templates, with each template corresponding to an action that can be performed by an application service associated with the template. The computing device includes an editor to monitor user input for a template keyword that matches with one or more of the templates, display one or more application service options in response to the template keyword matching one or more of the templates, and display a user interface for the template associated with the application service option selected by a user. The editor is to receive template content data via the user interface to define the action corresponding to the template associated with the application service option selected by the user, and provide the template content data to the server. The server analyzes the template content data and the templates to determine the application service action to be performed.

Abstract: A prediction model may be created to predict future actions likely to be performed by users while interacting with electronic content via user devices. The predictions may be used to streamline access to interface controls or other information to enable the users to facilitate or expedite performance of the predicted actions, while reducing computational demands on computing devices that provide the electronic content by, for example, reducing unnecessary intervening computing actions.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein are generally directed towards systems and methods relating to a crowd-sourced digital assistant system and related methods. In particular, embodiments facilitate the intuitive creation, maintenance, and distribution of action datasets that include computing events or tasks that can be reproduced when an associated command, stored in an action dataset, is determined received by a digital assistant device. The digital assistant device described herein can generate new action datasets, on-board new action datasets to a remote server, and receive new action datasets or updates to existing action datasets from the remote server. The digital assistant server described herein can receive action datasets, maintain action datasets, and distribute action datasets to one or more digital assistant devices.

According to certain aspects, an electronic device may arrange a first frame within an electronic file and define a first dynamic object within the first frame, where the first dynamic object comprises a first formula having a variable with a value. The electronic device may detect an additional instance of the variable within the electronic file and automatically associate the value of the variable with the additional instance of the variable.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for populating application-specific information using overlay applications. For example, in order to relieve some of the difficulties users face in inputting information into mobile devices which may have smaller screen sizes and may not feature dedicated input mechanisms, the methods and systems described herein automatically populate application-specific information. The methods and systems do this using an application that presents an application overlay feature. That is, the application is accessible while a user is using another application (e.g., on the mobile device) and/or while a user is scrolling through other applications.

Abstract: In general, the disclosure describes techniques for automatically generating summaries of meetings. A computing system obtains a transcript of a meeting and may produce, based on the transcript of the meeting, a data structure that comprises utterance features. Furthermore, the computing system may determine, based on the transcript of the meeting, temporal bounds of a plurality of activity episodes within the meeting. For each respective activity episode of a plurality of activity episodes, the computing system may determine, based on the utterance features associated with the respective activity episode, a conversational activity type associated with the respective activity episode. Additionally, the computing system may produce an episode summary for the respective activity episode that is dependent on the determined conversational activity type associated with the respective activity episode.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system that transforms one or more project plans to create a graphical project view. The project view contains a set of markers in rows and along a time axis, with each marker having associated text that must be placed into the project view in a manner that does not interfere with other nearby markers or other nearby text. To avoid such collisions, the user may turn on an algorithm that finds an optimal text position by seeking available white space. The user may also choose to invoke one or more escape paths which apply transformations to the conflicting text to either change the amount of space that they require, change the location of the text to a less-crowded location, increase the amount of available whitespace, or a combination of these approaches.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to mixed reality devices. In one example of the technology, a mixed-reality view is provided to an operator. The mixed-reality view includes both a real-world environment of the operator and holographic aspects. The holographic aspects include at least a first hologram. The first hologram is displayed with a first hologram menu, such that the first hologram menu includes visible selectable menu options associated with the first hologram. In the mixed-reality view, the first hologram menu, including the visible selectable menu options of the first hologram menu, is rotated to face the operator as the operator moves, such that the first hologram menu rotates in a curved manner about the first hologram as the first hologram menu rotates. Responsive to the operator making a selection on the first hologram menu, the first hologram in the mixed-reality view is altered based on the selection.

Abstract: A method for determining gaze location includes: providing a gaze tracking device including an illumination source to illuminate an eye of an observer at an angle of about 20 degrees to 40 degrees relative to a resting eye position of the eye, a camera or an imager includes at least one focusing lens, the camera or imager to acquire sequences of digital images of the eye, and a processor to run a gaze tracking process; and running the gaze tracking process to locate at least two Purkinje reflections of the illuminating source from the eye in the images. A gaze tracking system and a gaze tracking device are also described.

Abstract: An approach is provided in which the approach uses a scrolling agent to detect when a browser application requests a set of content from a content provider in response to the browser application receiving a request from a user. The scrolling agent issues a number of browser scroll commands to the browser application and receives sets of next content from the content provider accordingly. The approach searches the sets of next content based on a request invoked by the user and generates a set of search results that the approach provides to the user.

Abstract: Implementations of customizable graphical user interfaces for data management in computing systems are disclosed herein. In one example, a computer application is executed on a computing device to provide a graphical user interface having a background containing multiple interface regions separate from one another and individually having a corresponding data source. Upon receiving a command from a user, the executed computer application can customize the graphical user interface by modifying a size, a relative placement, a data source, or a format of one or more of the multiple interface regions in accordance with the command from the user, and thus allowing customization of the graphical user interface.

Abstract: Parallax views of objects are used to generate 3D depth maps of the objects using time of flight (TOF) information. In this way, the deleterious effects of multipath interference can be reduced to improve 3D depth map accuracy without using computationally intensive algorithms.
