  • Patent number: 5833240
Abstract: A game board for providing entertainment has playing areas in the form of recesses 14 that receive uniquely formed tokens or playing pieces 20. The recesses may have an upwardly facing flat surface 16 located below the board upper surface 12 at a depth that allows the token upper surface 24 to be flush with the game board upper surface 12. For removal from a recess 14, the token 20 is tilted by finger pressure on the peripheral edge of the token followed by grasping. After being moved to an appropriate adjacent recess, the token is dropped in a recess whereby the token assumes a position where its upper surface is flush with the game board upper surface 12. An electronic timer 40 and switch 38 are provided to limit the time allowed for making the physical moves with the tokens, thereby testing the dexterity of the players.

  • Patent number: 5826876
Abstract: A new field game and board game on which the field game rules are applied is disclosed. In the field game an offensive team and a defensive team oppose each other. The offensive team is divided into an equal number of carrier players and escort players. The carrier players attempt to remove an object from the center marker located in the center of a round or oval playing area. The defensive players attempt to tag-out the carrier player while the escort player attempts to simultaneously tag-out the defensive players. The offensive team scores by either successfully removing the object from the field or by tagging-out all of the defensive players. If the offensive team does not score, the offense and defense change roles. The game continues to be played round by round until a predetermined number of points is reached. The field game offers the advantages of providing a game that demands stamina, agility and mental quickness without requiring elaborate or expensive equipment for the players or for the field.

  • Patent number: 5820126
Abstract: A space battle game having a playing board with a planet located near the center of the board. Rings circle the planet at or near its equator. On opposite sides of the planet are located opposing battle base areas where each opponent places a set of battle base pieces that form each player's battle base. Located near each player's battle base area are launch pads for placement of the player's spacecraft. Each player has a designated number of spacecraft of the same design and color. The goal of the game is to destroy the opponent's battle base and spacecraft by maneuvering spacecraft to be adjacent to the opposing battle base and spacecraft. Dice are used to move the spacecraft across the board and to determine the outcome of the battles between opposing spacecraft or between a spacecraft and a battle base. The spacecraft cannot cross the planet or rings except at designated pathways that must be entered and exited on exact rolls.

  • Patent number: 5820128
Abstract: A wagering card game is played with a standard fifty-two card poker deck and a count limit card that is permanently assigned as the third card of the dealer's hand. Each player makes a bet, divides the bet in half and places each half in two separate betting areas on a playing surface. Two cards are dealt face down to each player and to the dealer. The players inspect their cards and keep or trade one or both. If a player trades, he surrenders one-half his total wager. Replacement cards are dealt face down and the dealer collects the surrendered bets. After evaluating his hand, each player then places his cards face up in progressive order into card docks provided on the playing surface. A third card is then dealt face down to each player, but not to the dealer. The dealer's third card is a count limit card or the representation of a count limit card having a predetermined count value (for example 5) that is imprinted on the count limit card or on the playing surface, and is displayed at all times.

  • Patent number: 5816727
Abstract: A cosmetic container having a coil-spring shaped holding portion, which is provided at the front end of a push rod, for holding a stick type cosmetic material. The rear end of a stick type cosmetic material is inserted into the center hollow-portion of the coil-spring holding portion. Ribs are optionally provided on the inner surface of the coil-spring holding portion for biting into a stick type cosmetic material to more securely hold the stick type cosmetic material. Even without these ribs, the spring-type holding portion holds a stick type cosmetic material elastically tight by making the inner diameter of the coil-spring smaller, because the coil-spring shaped holding portion holds a stick type cosmetic material elastically. If pressure is applied to a held stick type cosmetic material from the side, the coil-spring shaped holding portion bends and prevents damage to the held stick type cosmetic material.
