  • Patent number: 10215574
Abstract: A transport facilitation system is disclosed that can facilitate pick-ups in connection with a transportation arrangement service. The transport facilitation system can initially receive a pick-up request from a user device of a requesting user and select a driver to service the pick-up request. The transport facilitation system can transmit an invitation to service the pick-up request to a driver device of the driver and receive a confirmation to service the pick-up request from the driver device. Thereafter the transport facilitation system can, detect, from the user device, a sensor pattern corresponding to a hailing action performed by the requesting user using the user device. In response to detecting the sensor pattern, the transport facilitation system can initiate a selected display pattern on a graphical user interface (GUI) of the user device to enable the driver to identify the requesting user.

  • Patent number: 10203836
Abstract: A unique system and method is provided that facilitates pixel-accurate targeting with respect to multi-touch sensitive displays when selecting or viewing content with a cursor. In particular, the system and method can track dual inputs from a primary finger and a secondary finger, for example. The primary finger can control movement of the cursor while the secondary finger can adjust a control-display ratio of the screen. As a result, cursor steering and selection of an assistance mode can be performed at about the same time or concurrently. In addition, the system and method can stabilize a cursor position at a top middle point of a user's finger in order to mitigate clicking errors when making a selection.

  • Patent number: 10198411
Abstract: Additional document information may be stored through change tracking. In some examples, an application, such as a document processing application, may allow collaborative creation and/or editing of a document. As individual collaborators enter new content or make changes to existing content, the new content and/or changes go through two phases. As an individual collaborator is editing, the change is temporary. The collaborator may decide not to integrate it to the document. The temporary content may become permanent or integrated through a save action (manual or automatic). In some examples, the temporary content may be shared with other collaborators through a scheme to indicate its status as temporary giving the collaborators a true collaboration experience.

  • Patent number: 10185702
Abstract: Content providers may specify special formatting instructions to manage formatting of content that is ultimately displayed by electronic devices. The formatting instructions may include formatting that is not apparent from an original format of the content. The formatting instructions from a content provider may override default formatting that is used by a viewing application on the electronic device or a host (intermediary) that formats the content for the electronic device, which would otherwise control a format of the content. The formatting instructions may be based on attributes of the electronic devices, such as display size, display type, etc. By enabling content providers to specify these special formatting instructions, the content providers may retain control of an ultimate look and function of the content when the content is formatted for a particular electronic device.
