  • Patent number: 11991636
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The embodiment of the application provides a method for determining the activation state of a secondary cell and a UE. The method is applied to the technical field of wireless communication and comprises the following steps: acquiring secondary cell activation state indicator information, and then determining respective corresponding states of at least one secondary cell configured or reconfigured by a UE based on the secondary cell activation state indicator information, wherein the states include: an activation state and an inactivation state. The embodiment of the application realizes the reduction of the time delay for the user equipment to receive or send data and the reduction of the time required for deactivating a secondary cell, thereby reducing the power consumption of the UE.

  • Patent number: 11979944
Abstract: A method in a mobile station (STA) configured to associate to an access point (AP) is described. The method includes determining an identifiable random medium access control (MAC) address (IRMA), associating to the AP and transmitting the IRMA to the AP during the association. The method also includes using the IRMA as the transmitter address (TA) a next time the STA begins to associate to the AP, where the IRMA is usable by the AP to identify the STA prior to a next association, determining a new IRMA, and transmitting the new IRMA to the AP during the next association. One or more additional associations to the AP are performed at least by transmitting at least a corresponding IRMA to the AP and indicating that the corresponding IRMA is a TA of the STA.

  • Patent number: 11902858
Abstract: The technology enables locating asset tracking tags based on a ramped sequence of signals from one or more beacon tracking tags. The sequence includes at least one minimum power signal and at least one maximum power signal. Each signal in the sequence has a tag identifier and an initial signal strength value. Each beacon signal in the ramped sequence is associated with the time at which that beacon signal was received by a reader. Each beacon signal is also associated with a received signal strength at reception. A location of the beacon tracking tag is estimated according to the signals in the sequence based on the difference between the initial and received signal strengths. A position of the reader device is identified based on the beacon tag's location. An asset tracking tag location is identified based on the reader's location and packets received by the reader from the asset tag.

  • Patent number: 11856499
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for emergency modes for a mobile device (e.g., a mobile phone) are described. The mobile device may receive sonic signals indicative of a voice of a person uttering words and identify the person as an authorized user. The mobile device may determine that the words correlate with an emergency situation from a set of predefined emergency situations. Further, the mobile device may determine that the emergency situation satisfies a threshold. The mobile device may perform one or more tasks (e.g., making a phone call to an emergency service), after determining that the emergency situation has satisfied the threshold. In some cases, the mobile device may monitor physiological signals of the person and/or collect additional data to increase a confidence level associated with making the determination. In some cases, the mobile device may leverage or include an artificial intelligence algorithm/engine to facilitate managing the emergency modes.
