  • Patent number: 11053066
Abstract: A syringe propellable by propellant that boils at a predetermined temperature, the syringe including a barrel having an outlet at a front end, and a stopper axially moveable in the barrel. The stopper separates a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber being axially forwards of the stopper and being configured for containing a medicament, and the second chamber being axially rearwards of the stopper and being configured to receive propellant for acting on the stopper to move the stopper axially forwardly in the barrel to expel medicament through the outlet upon actuation of the syringe. The syringe further includes a third chamber for containing propellant. Upon actuation of the syringe, liquid propellant is released from the third chamber and boils outside of the third chamber at or above the predetermined temperature to provide an increasing vapor pressure in the second chamber that causes the stopper to move axially forwardly and begin to expel medicament through the outlet.

  • Patent number: 11024419
Abstract: A pump includes a reservoir, a port, and a plunger. The reservoir delivers a liquid by discharging the liquid through the port coupled to the reservoir. A piston of the plunger defines a liquid side of the reservoir and a non-liquid side of the reservoir whereby movement of the plunger towards the liquid side of the reservoir discharges liquid through the port. The pump also includes a reference-volume assembly and/or a linear position sensor. The reference-volume assembly is coupled to the reservoir at an opposite end of the reservoir relative to the port and includes a reference-volume chamber in acoustic communication with the non-liquid side of the reservoir, a speaker disposed within the reference-volume chamber, and a reference microphone disposed within the reference-volume chamber. • Patent number: 11020018
Abstract: A device and a method for delivering a flowable ingestible medicament into the gastrointestinal tract of a user. The device includes a vibrating ingestible capsule attached to a medicament delivery compartment. The medicament delivery compartment includes a housing including a portal, a medicament reservoir, a reservoir biasing mechanism applying pressure to the reservoir, a resilient conduit extending from the reservoir to the portal, and a valve including a weight and a spring adapted, when closed, to bias the weight against the conduit so as to block flow therethrough, and, when open, to remove the weight from the conduit to allow fluid to flow through the conduit. When the vibrating agitator is in the vibration mode of operation, vibrations exerted thereby are applied to the valve biasing mechanism and periodically transition the valve between the closed operative orientation and the open operative orientation.

  • Patent number: 11013863
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to an assembly for a drug delivery device having a housing part, a piston rod displaceable relative to the housing part, a first sleeve member and a second sleeve member. First and second sleeve members are coupled to the housing part. In an initial state of the assembly the first sleeve member is movable from an initial position to a second position relative to the second sleeve member which allows the piston rod to axially travel from an initial position to a predetermined second position such that the assembly is in a primed state. Moreover, in the primed state of the assembly, with the first sleeve member being in the second position relative to the second sleeve member, first and second sleeve members are permanently rotationally and axially locked to each other by a first engagement feature such that first and second sleeve members together form a sleeve.
