  • Patent number: 9301226
Abstract: A user equipment performs downlink measurement on neighbor cells, but the measurement performance on a target cell (in terms of measurement period/sampling/accuracy etc) is dependent on the relative performance difference between the target cell and a reference cell. The reference cell may be the serving cell, or may be the strongest cell. The network is thus able to keep track of the required number of target cells without degrading the measurement performance of important cells. The UE on the other hand is still able to save its battery as much as possible while making full use of DRX.

  • Patent number: 9287601
Abstract: The present invention relates to a public cavity input multiplexer that is used to divide broadband signals into multi-channel narrowband signals according to the frequency and includes a public cavity and at least two channel filters. The public cavity is a broadband resonator that is used to input broadband signals, and is coupled with each of the channel filters respectively. In the input multiplexer of the present invention, no electric cable or waveguide and circulator are used for connection. The integrated design is achieved by establishing the public cavity and the channel filter, which reduces volume and mass, avoids the errors caused by influence on the circulator due to temperature change, enhances reliability, saves cost, and improves the electric performance. The design of the public cavity makes the input coupling accurate to calculate, convenient tuning and optimizes the consistency of channels.

  • Patent number: 9277489
Abstract: A mobile device performs a scanning operation for identifying a wireless network and receives from the wireless network a hotspot aggregator service identifier which identifies a hotspot aggregator service made available via the wireless network. The mobile device compares the received hotspot aggregator service identifier with one or more hotspot aggregator service identifiers stored in memory. When there is a match between the received and the stored hotspot aggregator service identifiers, the mobile device initiates a connection with the wireless network for receiving the hotspot aggregator service.

  • Patent number: 9197355
Abstract: Drop port based shared risk link group (SRLG) systems and methods assign SRLG information to drop ports in another level or layer of a network. Thus, drop side SRLG information can be shared between different networks or layers enabling a combination with line side SRLG information within a network to identify and prevent single points of failure across the networks. Typically, SRLG details are assigned to line ports (NNI ports) within a network and this information is not shared with external networks or network layers for routing a connection through the network and the external networks. By assigning SRLG details to a drop port, this information can be relayed between the network and the external networks and considered when planning a route through all of the networks.
