  • Publication number: 20150339841
Abstract: Layout animation that automatically plays in response to a change in layout on UI platforms that typically require animations to be defined prior to the layout being calculated is provided. Developers are enabled to specify how one or more elements should animate via animation values that are relative to an unknown initial layout and an unknown final layout. When a property change event that triggers animation of an element occurs, the initial layout and the final layout of the element and its child elements are calculated. The animations are then scheduled to interpolate the changes in layout.

  • Publication number: 20150339645
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for processing a gift between users in a social network. A system configured to practice the method presents an object to a giver in a social networking site, wherein the object provides an option to give a gift to a recipient. If the giver selects to give the gift, the system receives a selection of the recipient and a policy associated with the gift, wherein the giver is associated with a giver account, the recipient is associated with a recipient account, and the giver account is independent of the recipient account. The system monitors transactions of the recipient using the recipient account to yield information, and, based on the information, if the recipient makes a qualifying transaction according to the policy, the system applies at least part of the gift to the recipient account.

  • Publication number: 20150337423
Abstract: A metal microparticle coated with metal hydride nanoparticles is disclosed. Some variations provide a material comprising a plurality of microparticles (1 micron to 1 millimeter) containing a metal or metal alloy and coated with a plurality of nanoparticles (less than 1 micron) containing a metal hydride or metal alloy hydride. The invention eliminates non-uniform distribution of sintering aids by attaching them directly to the surface of the microparticles. No method is previously known to exist which can assemble nanoparticle metal hydrides onto the surface of a metal microparticle. Some variations provide a solid article comprising a material with a metal or metal alloy microparticles coated with metal hydride or metal alloy hydride nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles form continuous or periodic inclusions at or near grain boundaries within the microparticles.

  • Publication number: 20150335342
Abstract: A minimally invasive laparoscopic tissue removal device, namely a morcellator. The device includes, from proximal end to distal end, a handle, handle guard, elongate sheath, and mouth, finally terminating in a safety tip. The elongate sheath and mouth are concentric, such that two elongate, rotating cutting/shredding blades/teeth and one elongate auger feed screw can be positioned along the length of the sheath and mouth. The teeth are opposingly disposed and staggered, such that contact with tissue mass grabs and pulls tissue inwards toward the auger, which transports the tissue proximally toward the outside of the patient's body. A motor unit and gear assembly can be coupled to the teeth and auger to drive rotation of the teeth and auger. A cup assembly can be disposed in overlying relation to the mouth for guiding the tissue mass towards the mouth. Various mechanisms of safely covering the mouth are contemplated as well.
