  • Patent number: 11426942
Abstract: Manufacturing systems with coolant supply systems and related methods. A manufacturing system includes an additive manufacturing (AM) assembly, a milling assembly, and a coolant supply system. The AM assembly includes a support assembly that supports a build component and that is in thermal communication with the build component. The coolant supply system is configured to remove heat from the support assembly by flowing the coolant through at least a portion of the support assembly. A method of operating a manufacturing system during a manufacturing process includes detecting a manufacturing mode of the manufacturing system, forming a build component via the manufacturing process, and, at least partially concurrent with the forming the build component, selectively supplying a coolant to a support assembly and/or a milling tool. The selectively supplying the coolant is based, at least in part, on the detecting the manufacturing mode.

  • Patent number: 11428675
Abstract: In the present system and method, a conduit from a LC device continuously transports solvent, buffers, and analytes to the inlet of a solvent removal and analyte conversion device which evaporates the solvents, leaving non-volatile analytes for detection. The device comprises a rotating disk. The liquid chromatograph device can be any device using liquid chromatography to separate molecules. The solvents in the LC effluent can include, but are not limited to, water, methanol, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, and acetone. After removal of the volatile components, the non-volatile analytes are converted with a concentrated energy source so that they may be detectable.

  • Patent number: 11428030
Abstract: Disclosed is a tamper proof tag and accompanying method for verifying that a watch is authentic and has not been tampered with. The tamper proof tag, when affixed to the watch, ensures that the watch is authentic and prevents a user from tampering with the watch. The tamper proof tag also allows the watch to be worn while the tamper proof tag is affixed to watch and is minimally obstructive to the aesthetics of the watch. This provides a purchasing user with confidence that the watch is authentic, while also allowing the user to try on the watch without having to remove the tamper proof tag. The tamper proof tag also protects the seller from a user that may attempt to tamper with the watch after purchase. For example, the seller may condition returns for a sold watch on the tamper proof tag remaining affixed to the watch.

  • Patent number: 11429507
Abstract: A system and method determines a unique performance benchmark for specific computer object code for a particular microprocessor. By generating multiple unique benchmarks for a single, same code module on multiple different processors, the method determines which processor is optimal for the code module. By generating for a single designated processor a performance benchmark for each code modules of multiple modules, where the multiple modules have a same/similar functionality but variations in detailed code or algorithms, the system and method identifies code variation(s) which is/are optimal for the single designated processor. The system and method may entail first extracting selected features of object code (as actually executed) into a code profile, and then generating the performance benchmark based on the code profile and in machine-level timing data for the selected microprocessor. In this way, code security is achieved by fire-walling the object code from the second stage of the method.

  • Patent number: 11428615
Abstract: Viscosity assemblies may be used to determine the viscosity of a sample fluid at a surface location under one or more downhole conditions prior to pumping or flowing of the sample fluid downhole. A viscosity assembly may include a bob assembly disposed in a container that includes a bob disposed about a magnet rotor that rotates when a shear force is applied by the flow of the sample fluid in the container. A stator coil may receive a control signal that induces a force or a voltage that causes the magnet rotor to rotate the bob by a predetermined distance to position the bob from the rotated position back to the initial position.

  • Patent number: 11429892
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a recommendation system for recommending sequential content. The training of a reinforcement learning (RL) agent is bootstrapped from passive data. The RL agent of the sequential recommendations system is trained using the passive data over a number of epochs involving interactions between the sequential recommendation system and user devices. At each epoch, available active data from previous epochs is obtained, and transition probabilities are generated from the passive data and at least one parameter derived from the currently available active data. Recommended content is selected based on a current state and the generated transition probabilities, and the active data is updated from the current epoch based on the recommended content and a resulting new state. A clustering approach can also be employed when deriving parameters from active data to balance model expressiveness and data sparsity.

  • Patent number: 11426025
Abstract: A disposable support pan has a sidewall with a top lip that support the lips of rectangular food trays above a support surface. A disposable suspension tray inside the support pan has a flange resting on a support pan shoulder so the bottoms of two pockets in the suspension tray are between the support surface and the bottom of the food trays. Water in each pocket reacts with a calcium-oxide packet in each pocket to boils a predetermined amount of water to generate steam that heats the food trays without having the packets contact the food trays. One or two tray supports on each side of the pan may extend from the shoulder to a top support flange extending outward around a periphery of the support pan. The suspension tray has corresponding recesses to mate with the tray supports to keep steam from entering the area below the suspension tray.
