  • Publication number: 20240169355
Abstract: A settlement card system includes a settlement card that is locked for authorized use with a single card specific merchant. A first computing system is operated by the card issuer and determines a transaction monetary limit and customer payment terms that differ for each subsequent, single transaction by the customer with the card specific merchant. A second computing system forwards the authorization request to the first computing system, which determines if the transaction is within the monetary limit determined for the customer, and if no, reject the transaction, if yes, accept the transaction and determine customer payment terms for that transaction. A third computing system makes payment to the authorized merchant for the transaction after receiving a payment authorization from the first computing system. The first computing system transfers a payment to the third computing system in the amount of the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20240168663
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for enabling a compute node to utilize all the resources of the cluster it is part of when accessing block storage resources. A deployment manager may receive configuration information for each of a set of compute nodes in a cluster, wherein the configuration information of each compute node in the cluster indicates a usage by the compute node of each of a set of block storage volumes (also referred to herein as storage volumes). The deployment manager determines that a first compute node cannot utilize a full amount of the storage volume bandwidth provided by one or more storage volumes assigned to it. A first storage volume of the one or more storage volumes may be reassigned to a second compute node in the cluster and deploys the cluster with the first storage volume mounted on the second compute node.

  • Publication number: 20240166441
Abstract: An automated storage and retrieval system for managing the contents of a garment-on-hanger (GOH) storage area includes an autonomous “transporter” that is configured to transport GOH items between the processing area and the storage area and an automated “forager” that can hold and manipulate a GOH item to place it in, or retrieve it from, a storage location. The transporter and forager work together to automatically store and retrieve GOH items, riding on a system of rails and moving between vertical levels on an elevator. Standardized “mother hooks” are used from which the GOH items hang, which may be held by a picker arm of the forager, and inserted into slots in storage areas and on the transporter. Blades on the forager may be inserted to either side of a GOH item to allow adjacent GOH items to be displaced during manipulation.
