  • Publication number: 20210365955
Abstract: A contextual help module may allow an enterprise to provide multiple help capabilities across multiple lines-of-business (LOBs) of the enterprise with consistency. The contextual help module may be integrated onto any display view of any LOB of the enterprise, and may render contextual help information and/or dynamically route a customer's help request to a receiving help capability based upon the context of the customer help request. Further, the contextual help module may provide a layer of indirection or abstraction between customer-facing processes and the architectures providing the various help capabilities so that implementation and updating times and costs for help capabilities may be minimized. The multiple LOBs may relate to insurance, such as auto, home, life, health, renters, personal articles, or other insurance. The dynamic routing of the user to appropriate online help may be based upon functional area of the help, LOB, sub-LOB, preferred customer language, and/or customer location.

  • Patent number: 10975901
Abstract: Provided are methods of attaching parts using slot cases and assemblies comprising these slot cases. A slot case is inserted into a slot or slid on a tab of a first part prior to attaching it to a second part. The first part may have pores that are partially open at the surface of the slot or tab. These pores may receive adhesive while attaching the two parts. The adhesive volume going into these partially open pores may vary among different first parts. To ensure that enough adhesive is supplied between the slot case and first part, the adhesive is introduced in between these components before attaching the second part and while the slot case and first part are more accessible. The adhesive may be supplied through the bottom of the slot case and continue until the adhesive appears at the top edges of the slot case.

  • Publication number: 20190392405
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for generating and displaying comprehensive transaction information is disclosed. Operands including transaction-specific details from an electronic receipt and a pre-shared salt are hashed to produce a unique purchase identifier (PID). A user may submit the electronic receipt to a transaction recorder who also possesses the pre-shared salt. The transaction recorder may create a duplicate of the PID using the electronic receipt and the pre-shared salt. The duplicate PID may be associated with transaction entry stored in a transaction database.

  • Patent number: 9850927
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for the installation of fasteners in a composite panel with a fastener insert. A fastener insert for a composite panel includes a body and a at least three arms extending from the body. The body has a top face and a central hub extending rearward from the top face. The top face has an outer dimension between opposing edges. The arms extend from the central hub on a rear side of the body. In a retracted configuration, the arms are folded inward toward the central hub so that the arms do not extend beyond the outer dimension of the top face. In an extended configuration, the arms extend outward from the central hub beyond the outer dimension of the top face.

  • Patent number: 9388544
Abstract: A finger plow includes an extension which may be extended or retracted to enable the finger plow to discharge snow and ice away from the wheels of the vehicle and to make a relatively wider snow cleared path while not unduly extending beyond the sidewalls of the wheels of the vehicle when not engaged in a plowing operation. The finger plow may be a one-way or reversible snow plow with one or two extensions. In the later case, the finger plow and one or more extension finger plows are rotatable relative to the chassis of the vehicle. Shear pins or a resilient mechanism may be provided to permit the finger plow to pivot rearwardly in the event that the finger plow extension encounters an obstacle.
