Publication number: 20230171171Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of performing health monitoring for resources associated with a global server load balancing (GSLB) system. This system is implemented by several domain name system (DNS) servers that perform DNS services for resources located at several geographically separate sites. The method identifies several different groupings of the resources. It then assigns the health monitoring of the different resource groups to different DNS servers. The method then configures each particular DNS server (1) to send health monitoring messages to the particular group of resources assigned to the particular DNS server, (2) to generate data by analyzing responses to the sent health monitoring messages, and (3) to distribute the generated data to the other DNS servers. The method in some embodiments is performed by a set of one or more controllers.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2023Publication date: June 1, 2023Inventors: Murali Basavaiah, Anand Parthasarathy, Sreeram Iyer, Sambit Kumar Das, Narasimhan Gomatam Mandeyam

Patent number: 11661556Abstract: The present invention relates to a sequential thermo-chemical treatment along with adsorption-based pre-treatment process for residual oils having a very high naphthenic acid content. First stage of the process is a thermal pre-treatment step which results into generation of hydrocarbon stream with a reduced naphthenic acid content due to high temperature. In second stage of pre-treatment, generated hydrocarbon stream from stage-1 is subjected to esterification reaction with alcohol, such as methanol, to further reduce the TAN of hydrocarbon stream. After recovery of alcohol from the reaction mixture, depending on TAN reduction required reaction mixture may be subjected to an adsorption stage, third stage pre-treatment, where an adsorbent mixture comprising of FCC spent catalyst is used to adsorb the TAN of feed hydrocarbon stream. The treated hydrocarbon stream is then co-processed with DCU feed stock for producing lighter hydrocarbons.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2022Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LIMITEDInventors: Shivam Ashok Dixit, Ponoly Ramachandran Pradeep, Jitumoni Brahma, Terapalli Hari Venkata Devi Prasad, Satyen Kumar Das, Madhusudan Sau, Gurpreet Singh Kapur, Sankara Sri Venkata Ramakumar

Patent number: 11663143Abstract: A server includes a data cache for storing data objects requested by mobile devices, desktop devices, and server devices, each of which may execute a different configuration of an application. When a cache miss occurs, the cache may begin loading portions of a requested data object from various data sources. The cache itself may be divided into multiple partitions, and each of the partitions may be assigned to a specific attribute, such as an application configuration. Portions of the data object may be loaded into corresponding cache partitions based on the attributes of each. Although part of a single cache, each of the partitions may be independently assigned different cache replacement policies. Performance metrics for each of the partitions may be monitored and used to update the cache replacement policy for each partition at runtime without interrupting response traffic.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2020Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventors: Yuvaraj Chandrasekaran, Lawrence Lindsey, Mihir Kumar Das, Santosh Kumar Kotikalapudi

Patent number: 11625325Abstract: A server includes a data cache for storing data objects requested by users logged in under different user roles. Different user roles may have different permissions to access individual fields within a data object. When a cache miss occurs, the cache may begin loading portions of a requested data object from various data sources. Instead of waiting for the entire object to load to change the object state to “valid,” the cache may incrementally update the state through various levels of validity based on the user role of the request. When a portion of the data object used by a low-level user role is received, the object state can be upgraded to be valid for that user role while data for higher-level user roles continues to load. The portion of the data object can then be sent to the low-level user roles without waiting for the rest of the data object to load.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2020Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventors: Yuvaraj Chandrasekaran, Mihir Kumar Das, Pushpander Singh, Lawrence Lindsey
