  • Patent number: 11173028
Abstract: A device can be introduced into the right atrium of a subject's heart by introducing the distal end of a hollow, straight, and stiff shaft into the subject's right internal jugular vein, and advancing the distal end of the shaft into the right atrium via the superior vena cava. The position of the distal end of the shaft is adjusted by manipulating a handle affixed to a portion of the shaft that remains outside the subject's body. The handle can be used to rotate the shaft about its longitudinal axis, rotate the shaft about an anterior-posterior axis, rotate the shaft about a medial-lateral axis, and/or advance the shaft in the caudal direction. A device is advanced through the interior of the shaft until the device extends beyond the distal end of the shaft and into the right atrium.

  • Publication number: 20210263011
Abstract: Chemical functionalization of solid-state nanopores and nanopore arrays and applications thereof. Nanopores are extremely sensitive single-molecule sensors. Recently, electron beams have been used to fabricate synthetic nanopores in thin solid-state membranes with sub-nanometer resolution. A new class of chemically modified nanopore sensors are provided with two approaches for monolayer coating of nanopores by: (1) self-assembly from solution, in which nanopores ?10 nm diameter can be reproducibly coated, and (2) self-assembly under voltage-driven electrolyte flow, in which 5 nm nanopores may be coated. Applications of chemically modified nanopore are provided including: the detection of biopolymers such as DNA and RNA; immobilizing enzymes or other proteins for detection or for generating chemical gradients; and localized pH sensing.

  • Publication number: 20210085461
Abstract: An enlarged cardiac valve annulus can be reduced in diameter using a cord that is affixed to the annulus by a set of anchors. A knot or fixed loop is disposed at a first end of the cord, and the body of the cord passes through the knot or fixed loop so as to form (a) a loop portion positioned distally beyond the knot or fixed loop and (b) a second portion that runs between the knot or fixed loop and the second end. The body of the cord can slide with respect to the knot or fixed loop. After the anchors are implanted and a bond between the anchors and the annulus is sufficiently strong, pulling the second portion in a proximal direction while holding the knot or fixed loop in place will reduce the circumference of the annulus.

  • Patent number: 10949066
Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe surfacing a representation of digital artifacts for a user. An operation context associated with a user is identified. The operational context may correspond with an electronic document that is accessed through a productivity application. One or more of a plurality of digital artifacts may be identified based on the identified operational context. An exemplary representation of the one or more digital artifacts is surfaced through a user interface. An exemplary user interface may be a user interface of a productivity application, for example, where the electronic document is being accessed through the productivity application. In alternative examples, an exemplary user interface may be associated with a home service that is executed in association with an operating system (OS). In some instances, an operational context may change resulting in an update to an exemplary representation of digital artifacts. Other examples are also described.

  • Patent number: 10942738
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for performing one or more operations on a two dimensional tile register using an accelerator that includes a tiled matrix multiplication unit (TMU). The processor circuitry includes reservation station (RS) circuitry to communicatively couple the processor circuitry to the TMU. The RS circuitry coordinates the operations performed by the TMU. TMU dispatch queue (TDQ) circuitry in the TMU maintains the operations received from the RS circuitry in the order that the operations are received from the RS circuitry. Since the duration of each operation is not known prior to execution by the TMU, the RS circuitry maintains shadow dispatch queue (RS-TDQ) circuitry that mirrors the operations in the TDQ circuitry.
