  • Patent number: 9634611
Abstract: A variable gain amplifier having stabilized frequency response for widened gain control range. A resistor-capacitor compensation network is provided between two differential current input ports and corresponding emitter nodes of cross-coupled four transistors in the variable gain amplifier to desensitize the gain control voltages to the system noise and provide compensation to the VGA frequency response when the differential gain control voltage varies the gain setting, yielding a substantially stabilized frequency response over a ?3 dB bandwidth ranging from 1 GHz to 60 GHz with a widened gain control range up to 12 dB without increasing power consumption.

  • Patent number: 9631276
Abstract: A gas delivery system includes a first valve including an inlet that communicates with a first gas source. A first inlet of a second valve communicates with an outlet of the first valve and a second inlet of the second valve communicates with a second gas source. An inlet of a third valve communicates with a third gas source. A connector includes a first gas channel and a cylinder defining a second gas channel. The cylinder and the first gas channel collectively define a flow channel between an outer surface of the cylinder and an inner surface of the first gas channel. The flow channel communicates with the outlet of the third valve and the first end of the second gas channel. A third gas channel communicates with the second gas channel, with the outlet of the second valve and with a gas distribution device of a processing chamber.

  • Patent number: 9635318
Abstract: The techniques related to providing a live program over the Internet are described. According to one aspect of the techniques, a data stream representing a live program is preprocessed to produce a plurality of substreams, each of the substreams comprising decimated samples of the data stream. The number of substreams is relatively large so that the bandwidth requirement for delivering one of the substreams is relatively low. With a group of seeding boxes receiving the substreams, a group of boxes in services are designated to receive the substreams from the seeding boxes, each of these boxes including the seeding boxes is able to support multiple outbound streams (e.g., greater than 2) so that there are enough data suppliers to service the ordering boxes or colonize more boxes to become the data suppliers. As a result, a live program can be timely serviced by peer boxes, significantly reducing the computation and bandwidth burdens on a server(s).

  • Patent number: 9629970
Abstract: A bi-level pressure support system and method of treating disordered breathing that optimizes the pressure delivered to the patient during inspiration and expiration to treat the disordered breathing while minimizing the delivered pressure for patient comfort. The pressure generating system generates a flow of breathing gas at an inspiratory positive airway pressure (IPAP) during inspiration and at an expiratory positive airway pressure (EPAP) during expirations. A controller monitor at least one of the following conditions: (1) snoring, (2) apneas, (3) hypopneas, or (4) a big leak in the pressure support system and adjusts the IPAP and the EPAP based on the occurrence of any one of these conditions.

  • Publication number: 20170111640
Abstract: Techniques and tools for encoding enhancement layer video with quantization that varies spatially and/or between color channels are presented, along with corresponding decoding techniques and tools. For example, an encoding tool determines whether quantization varies spatially over a picture, and the tool also determines whether quantization varies between color channels in the picture. The tool signals quantization parameters for macroblocks in the picture in an encoded bit stream. In some implementations, to signal the quantization parameters, the tool predicts the quantization parameters, and the quantization parameters are signaled with reference to the predicted quantization parameters. A decoding tool receives the encoded bit stream, predicts the quantization parameters, and uses the signaled information to determine the quantization parameters for the macroblocks of the enhancement layer video. The decoding tool performs inverse quantization that can vary spatially and/or between color channels.

  • Patent number: 9624578
Abstract: Methods for depositing film on substrates are provided. In these embodiments, the substrates are processed in batches. Due to changing conditions within a reaction chamber as additional substrates in the batch are processed, various film properties may trend over the course of a batch. The methods herein can be used to address the trending of film properties over the course of a batch. More specifically, film property trending is minimized by changing the amount of RF power used to process substrates over the course of the batch. Such methods are sometimes referred to as RF compensation methods.

  • Publication number: 20170104722
Abstract: A network security device (NSD) is connected between a network and an endpoint device configured to host a client application. The client application communicates with the network through the network security device using a request-response protocol. The NSD receives from the client application a request destined for the network and that seeks a response from the network. The request has a context header including context information about the client application. The NSD determines whether the client application or a file accessed thereby has a suspicious nature based on the context information. If it is determined that the client application or the file accessed thereby has a suspicious nature, the NSD blocks the request from the network, and sends to the client application a response indicating the block.

  • Publication number: 20170103914
Abstract: Dielectric AlO, AlOC, AlON and AlOCN films characterized by a dielectric constant (k) of less than about 10 and having a density of at least about 2.5 g/cm3 are deposited on partially fabricated semiconductor devices to serve as etch stop layers and/or diffusion barriers. In one implementation, a substrate containing an exposed dielectric layer (e.g., a ULK dielectric) and an exposed metal layer is contacted with an aluminum-containing compound (such as trimethylaluminum) in an iALD process chamber and the aluminum-containing compound is allowed to adsorb onto the surface of the substrate. This step is performed in an absence of plasma. Next, the unadsorbed aluminum-containing compound is removed from the process chamber, and the substrate is treated with a process gas containing CO2 or N2O, and an inert gas in a plasma to form an AlO, AlOC, or AlON layer. These steps are then repeated.

  • Patent number: 9619160
Abstract: In one embodiment, a node coupled to a plurality of storage devices executes a storage input/output (I/O) stack having a plurality of layers including a persistence layer. A portion of non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM) is configured as one or more logs. The persistence layer cooperates with the NVRAM to employ the log to record write requests received from a host and to acknowledge successful receipt of the write requests to the host. The log has a set of entries, each entry including (i) write data of a write request and (ii) a previous offset referencing a previous entry of the log. After a power loss, the acknowledged write requests are recovered by replay of the log in reverse sequential order using the previous record offset in each entry to traverse the log.
