  • Publication number: 20080147733
Abstract: A method is provided for promoting agenda awareness in a communication client. A system user's agenda of tasks with associated contact information is provided to the communication client. Matches are sought between the associated contact information from the agenda and a contact in a contact list in the communication client. Contacts matching the associated contact information and the tasks associated with the contact information are presented at a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20080104612
Abstract: A computer implemented method and computer program product for managing conversational input. The process authenticates a user on a device in a set of communication devices for manipulating conversation stubs. The process monitors an exchange of conversation for a triggering event on the device in a set of communication devices. Responsive to detecting the triggering event, the process generates a conversation stub that contains information relating to the topic of conversation. The conversation stub is stored in a storage device located remotely to the set of communication devices. Responsive to receiving a selection of the conversation stub, the process presents the conversation stub on a communication device selected from the set of communication devices.

  • Publication number: 20080092074
Abstract: Visual metadata is ascribed to workflow components that are modeled using graphical icons. The visual metadata includes instructions for displaying a graphical icon in a predetermined left-right or up-down orientation, displaying a graphical icon in one of a plurality of predetermined sizes, embedding customized anchor points within a graphical icon for wiring the graphical icon into a logical workflow view, identifying a data type for a workflow component, identifying shape, size, or orientation for the customized anchor points, embedding customized anchor points for individual data elements within a graphical icon so as to provide data wiring associated with visual targets within the workflow component, or various combinations thereof. The visual metadata is bound to the component, or the visual metadata is retrieved by providing a workflow tool with identifying indicia for the component.

  • Publication number: 20080040187
Abstract: An invention is disclosed for a computerized system for relaying meeting activity in electronic calendar applications, which allows a meeting participant to automatically obtain desired information about activity taking place in a scheduled meeting or presentation to allow that participant to determine whether he or she should attend. The invention also integrates electronic meeting software scheduling and coordination functions to provide a dynamic “schedule enforcement agent” for conducting meetings involving use of electronic data transmission technology (“emeetings”).

  • Publication number: 20070033485
Abstract: Encoders and methods for designing encoders for Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) and other block codes are presented. An efficient and systematic method for designing partially parallel encoders is presented. A parallelism factor is selected such that the end result for the encoder is similar to the partially parallel G matrix multiplication method. In addition to the method an initial circuit is given for the G matrix multiplication encoder and the RU encoder. A circuit for the hybrid encoder is presented which achieves less power consumption and smaller area than an equivalent encoder based on the G matrix multiplication with a smaller critical path than previous encoders.

  • Patent number: 6729878
Abstract: A composition and method for administering a treatment agent to a tooth, such as fluoride to improve the tooth's resistance to dental caries with a composition which can be selectively removed, the composition comprising a lac based compound with a treatment agent such as fluoride for applying to a tooth, and a method including selecting the color to be applied, preparing the colorized compound with the treatment agent to be applied to a tooth, exposing the tooth to be covered, applying the treatment containing a colorized compound to the enamel surface of the tooth, and allowing the compound to dry on the tooth, and selectively removing the compound from the tooth. Stencil apparatus can be used to create a design on the tooth using a covering compound.

  • Patent number: 6186039
Abstract: A spacecraft launch system includes a support assembly and a seat coupled to a hinge having a hinge axis. In operation, the support assembly and the seat rotate about the hinge axis to move the spacecraft from a horizontal position to a vertical position for launching. The launch system may incorporate an alignment technique that includes alignment members and actuators.

  • Patent number: 6076771
Abstract: A re-entry vehicle includes a flare-stabilized cylindrical body with a center of gravity displaced from a centerline to define a windward side of the body upon re-entry. The body orients at an angle of attack between the centerline and a velocity vector to generate a lift vector. An actuator moves the lift vector relative to the velocity vector to control the descent of the re-entry vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5927653
Abstract: A two-stage wingless reusable aerospace vehicle having upper and lower stages that take off from a take-off area and separate at a separation point along a first trajectory. The separation forces are generated by air retained between the upper and lower stages, which is at a pressure higher than ambient pressure at the separation point. The lower stage is then propelled along a return trajectory to a landing area. After separation from the lower stage, the upper stage continues to an Earth orbit for deployment of a payload. After deploying the payload, the upper stage moves out of the Earth orbit, re-enters the Earth's atmosphere, and returns to the take-off and landing area. The upper and lower stages are powered by liquid oxygen and kerosene engines.
