Abstract: Systems and methods for establishing an ad-hoc collaboration between unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are provided. A method includes: configuring intent data of a first UAV using a controller of the first UAV; configuring a collaboration plan for the first UAV and a second UAV based on a determination of a shared intent between the first UAV and the second UAV; executing the collaboration plan by flying the first UAV and gathering data using the first UAV based on the collaboration plan; and sharing the gathered data with an operator of the second UAV.

Abstract: Systems and methods for recalling digital content utilizing contextual data are disclosed. In embodiments, a method includes: determining, by a computing device, that a user has accessed a content item from a content resource; associating, by the computing device, the content item with session data, the session data including a route between a first location and a second location; receiving, by the computing device, a first search query; determining, by the computing device, one or more potential user sessions of interest based on the first search query; receiving, by the computing device, a second search query directed to the content item; and filtering, by the computing device, search results of the second search query based on the one or more potential user sessions of interest to produce filtered search results including one or more content items associated with the session data.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for selecting a target hypervisor to run a migrated virtual machine. An “effective priority value,” representing the virtual machine's priority with respect to the other virtual machines running on the same hypervisor, is calculated for the virtual machine when it is running on the source hypervisor as well as if it were to run on a target hypervisor for each possible target hypervisor. The target hypervisor associated with the minimum difference in absolute value terms between the virtual machine's effective priority value calculated when it is running on the source hypervisor and its effective priority value calculated if it were to be migrated to run on a target hypervisor is selected to receive the migrating virtual machine. In this manner, the effective priority metric has enabled a target hypervisor to be chosen that most closely matches the priority environment of the source hypervisor.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for Web page view customization. In an embodiment of the invention, a Web page view customization method includes receiving a request to load a Web page of a multiplicity of components by an end user and retrieving for the end user, a previously stored set of the components of the Web page. The method additionally includes rendering the Web page in a browser window of a Web browser of the end user so as to include based upon the previously stored set, only those of the multiplicity of components selected for inclusion while omitting from display in the Web page those of the multiplicity of components selected for exclusion.

Abstract: A microservice join request is received by a first microservice from a second microservice within a microservices system. The microservice join request includes microservice trust relationship information of the second microservice that defines microservice credentials and service description parameters of the second microservice. Using the microservice trust relationship information, a determination is made as to whether a consensus exists among other microservices within the microservices system that the second microservice is authorized to inter-operate within the microservices system. In response to determining that the consensus exists, validated local run-time inter-operational microservice trust relationship information is created.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for selecting virtual machines to be migrated to a public cloud. The current resource usage for virtual machine instances running in the private cloud is determined. Furthermore, any scaling policies attached to the virtual machine instances running in the private cloud are obtained. Additional resource usages for any of the virtual machine instances with a scaling policy are computed for when these virtual machine instances are scaled out. A cost of running a virtual machine instance in the public cloud is then determined using its current resource usage as well as any additional resource usage if a scaling policy is attached to the virtual machine instance based on the cost for running virtual machine instances in a public cloud. If the cost is less than a threshold cost, then the virtual machine instance is selected to be migrated to the public cloud.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for handling potential service load interruptions. The utilization of resources, such as servers in a service infrastructure of a SaaS provider, are monitored. If the utilization of a resource exceeds a threshold, then the resource is identified as having an excessive service load leading to a potential service load interruption. When a request is received from a user requesting to access such a resource, one or more action items to be completed by the user are generated and presented to the user. “Action items” refer to any activity that is required by the user to be performed thereby providing the SaaS provider additional time to address the potential service load interruption in an appropriate manner. Additional action item(s) will be presented to the user until the SaaS provider addresses the potential service load interruption, at which point, the request will be serviced.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for deploying a plurality of data conversion flow between a first application in a first system to a second application in a second system, without restarting the plurality of data conversation flow, is provided. The computer-implemented method may further include providing a plurality of modifiable data conversation that identifies a plurality of input parameters, a plurality of data formats, a plurality of data description, a plurality of conversation routines, a plurality of paths of the conversion routines, and a plurality of output information that determines routes of converted data for the first application. The computer-implemented method may further include converting the plurality of modifiable data conversion to form a data input from the first application to the second application.

Abstract: First statistical data and at least second statistical data can be received from respective data processing systems, the statistical data received from each data processing system indicating a respective duration of time for the data processing system to perform a task. A progress profile for the task can be updated by conglomerating the first statistical data with at least the second statistical data. A request indicating the task can be received from a third data processing system. In response, the progress profile can be communicated to the third data processing system. The third data processing system can present on a display a progress bar and indicate status of completion of the task by reiteratively updating the progress bar. The status of completion can be determined based on a duration of time expected for the task indicated in the progress profile and an amount of time that has elapsed.

Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable reduction of characters in a character-limited scenario by minimally editing a text to remain within a character limit while maintaining a tone of a user's writing. More specifically, as a user enters text into a character-limited field, character reduction opportunities for shortening words or phrases are identified in the text. These identified opportunities for shortening words or phrases are compared with a historical writing tone profile of the user in order to preserve a tone and style of the user. Words or phrases that are presented and implemented to shorten the text entered by the user are only sufficient to bring a character count of the entered text within the character limit of the character-limited field. Once the text is within the character limit, no further character reduction is applied.

Abstract: Probable origination date may be derived by using a stream of data captured, for example, from the Internet and from other documentation sources such as historical information about a target object, its author, related environmental data, social media data, blogs, microblogs, posts, historical information, and/or other data sources. Techniques such as textual analysis, statistical analytics, and/or artificial intelligence may combine and correlate the information from data sources to extract clues that may indicate the original author and date of authorship. Based on the number of conflicting or validating references, and the relationships between them, a probability or confidence score in the accuracy of the analysis may be generated.

Abstract: T-shirt size recommendation for a first user based on crowd sourcing. A recommendation for t-shirt size may be made by defining a first image of a container based on historical data related to container instantiation; receiving, by the computer, from a first user, a request to deploy a first instantiation of a container corresponding to the first image, with the request including input data including information indicative of a planned context of the first instantiation; applying a plurality of machine logic based rules to the input data to determine a first a first recommended T-shirt size associated with the first image; and communicating, by the computer, the first recommended T-shirt size to the first user for use with the first instantiation of the container corresponding to the first image.

Specifically, activity signals (e.g., likes, shares, etc.) related to a social media item in a social media network environment having a topic are evaluated and a set of tags are generated based on the topic. A first portion of content from a first digital item and a second portion of content from a second digital item are selected from a collection of digital items received via a digital item network. The first portion and second portion are related to the topic based on the set of generated tags. An approval action (e.g., likes) is performed between the first portion and second portion.

Abstract: Aspects include a method, system, and computer program product for providing a communication from a first communication device. The composition of a first message by a user in a first composition area of the first communication device is detected. The first message may be part of a first conversation stream between the user and a party on a second communication device. A triggering signal received at the first communication device allows the user to prepare a second message as part of a second conversation stream. In response to the triggering signal: a second composition area is opened at the first communication device for preparing the second message. The second message is transmitted in response to receiving a signal to send the second message.

Abstract: A management system receives inputs over a period of time from outputs of one or more sensors placed within a proximity to a service area, the one or more sensors for detecting at least one of at least one weight and at least one sound. The management system dynamically estimating, based on a rate of a percentage of change of the at least one weight over the period of time and types of sounds of the at least one sound for the service area, one or more wait times until a completion of use of the service area. The management system dynamically generating one or more wait time estimates in real time for the service area based on the one or more wait times and a current number of users waiting in a queue for the service area.

Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable improving electronic (e.g., GPS) navigation for a user operating a vehicle based on feedback from the user. More specifically, a verbal comment is obtained from the user and is analyzed for a navigation instruction delivery preference. A profile associated with navigation of the vehicle, which can include a user profile, a location profile, or an ambient environment profile, is modified based on the navigation instruction delivery preference. Based on the profile associated with navigation of the vehicle, a navigation instruction is synthesized and provided to the user. A dialogue can be solicited with the user to obtain additional comments from the user, based upon which the profile associated with navigation of the vehicle can be further modified.

Abstract: Methods and systems may provide for joining an overlay network of a plurality of peer devices and identifying a local preference for an area service available to the plurality of peer devices. Additionally, the local preference may be used to negotiate a common preference for the area service with the plurality of peer devices. In one example, the common preference is a best fit value for the plurality of peer devices on the overlay network.

Abstract: A status indicator provides a graphical representation of progress of a task to a user. A cognitive state of the user is detected by a computer operatively coupled to one or more sensors or cameras. The progress indicator is automatically modified by the computer in response to detecting the cognitive state of the user.
