  • Publication number: 20240110101
Abstract: A ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) material in a vertically aligned liquid crystal cell, comprising at least one chiral compound and at least one non-chiral liquid crystal compound, with a sub-micron scale helix pitch less than 300 nm, spontaneous polarization greater than 100 nC/cm2, and a tilt angle greater than 38 degrees. The ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) material provides an extremely large Kerr constant in a vertically aligned liquid crystal cell at the communication band of the light and therefore reduces the driving voltage and response time.

  • Publication number: 20240112180
Abstract: A computerized method is provided for digitally signing a digital document related to a transaction request from a customer. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, data related to the transaction request from the customer via a web-based interface. Receipt of the transaction data initiates a request session. The method also includes recording during the request session a voice signature sample from the customer via the web-based user interface and verifying the customer for the transaction request by comparing the voice signature sample with a stored voice print of the customer. Further, a consolidated record for the transaction request is generated that includes the transaction data and the transaction result. The digital document is populated with the transaction data if the customer is verified, where the digital document is treated as being digitally signed by the customer.

  • Publication number: 20240112198
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining a likelihood that a customer communication is fraudulent using one or more machine learning models. For example, a computing system includes a memory and one or more processors in communication with the memory. The one or more processors are configured to: receive a set of emotion factor values for communication data of a current communication associated with a customer, wherein each emotion factor value indicates a measure of a particular emotion factor in the current communication; classify, using an emotion variance model running on the one or more processors, the current communication into an emotional fraud category based on the set of emotion factor values for the current communication associated with the customer; and determine a risk score for the current communication indicative of a probability that the current communication is fraudulent based on at least the emotional fraud category for the current communication.

  • Publication number: 20240111642
Abstract: Some users of a data management system (DMS) may use multiple computing environments to replicate and store virtual machines (VM)s, such as for backup and recovery purposes. For example, different replication environments may include one or more private data centers, one or more cloud environments or any combination thereof. A user may schedule a failover procedure for an application. A DMS may perform a failover procedure that reduces downtime and eliminates data loss. The DMS may capture and replicate a snapshot of a VM running on a source computing environment to a target computing environment, power down the VM on the source computing environment, capture and replicate a second snapshot of the VM to the target computing environment, and power on the VM at the target computing environment. As the additional snapshot includes a relatively small amount of data replication at the target computing environment may proceed quickly, reducing downtime.

  • Patent number: 11947916
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums which provide summaries of topics determined within a corpus of documents. These summaries may be used by customer service associates, analysts, or other users to quickly determine both topics discussed and contexts of those topics over a large corpus of text. For example, a corpus of documents may be related to customer complaints and the topics may be summarized to produce summaries such as “credit report update due to stolen identity.” These summarizations may be used to efficiently spot trends and issues.

  • Patent number: 11934251
Abstract: A memory controller couples to a data fabric clock domain, and to a physical layer interface circuit PHY clock domain. A first interface circuit adapts transfers between the data fabric clock domain (FCLK) and the memory controllers clock domain, and a second interface circuit couples the memory controller to the PHY clock domain. A power controller responds to a power state change request by sending commands to the second interface circuit to change parameters of a memory system and to update a set of timing parameters of the memory controller according to a selected power state of a plurality of power states. The power controller further responds to a request to synchronize with a new frequency on the FCLK domain by changing a set of timing parameters of the clock interface circuit without changing the set of timing parameters of the memory system or the selected power state.

  • Publication number: 20240064209
Abstract: Examples described herein involve switching between two user accounts of a streaming media service. In an example implementation, a playback device stores data representing credentials for multiple user accounts including a first user account of a first streaming audio service and a second user account of the first streaming audio service. The playback device receives instructions to play first audio content from the first streaming audio service and plays back the first audio content by streaming data representing the first audio content from one or more servers of the first streaming audio service using credentials of the first user account. The playback device detects a trigger associated with the first user account of the first streaming audio service and switches from streaming data representing the first audio content using credentials of the first user account to streaming data representing the first audio content using credentials of the second user account.

  • Publication number: 20240054052
Abstract: A data management system (DMS) may support multi cloud failover recovery. For example, the DMS may receive a configuration for a failover recovery procedure. The configuration may include, for a set of virtual machines, respective target environments to which to recover the set of virtual machines as part of the failover recovery procedure. In response to a failover event, the DMS may deploy a respective network translator at the target environments. Additionally, as part of the failover recovery procedure, the DMS may instantiate the set of virtual machines on respective target environments. The network translators may store a location of virtual machines instantiated on the respective target environments. A request to access an application supported by the set of virtual machines may be received at a target environment, and the network translators may be used to route a packet associated with the request between the target environments.
