  • Patent number: 10242051
Abstract: Methods, computer systems, and computer-storage media are provided for increasing the efficiency of a multi-tenant geospatial data index. Efficiency is increased by using a multi-tenant model for storing and serving the data, processing raw geospatial data received from tenants into a runtime-optimized format, and by partitioning tenant geospatial data into a processor memory portion and a file system memory portion. Efficiency is also increased by executing a staged upload of the processor memory portion and the file system memory portion to a subset of host machines in order to check for invalid data before uploading the data to the remaining host machines. Additionally, efficiency is increased by optimizing geospatial search queries using query filters stored in a query filter cache, and executing the query filters initially against the processor memory.

  • Patent number: 10242496
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide a way to subdivide a patch generated in graphics processing pipeline into sub-patches, and generate sub-patch tessellations for the sub-patches. More particularly, systems, apparatuses and methods may provide a way to diverge tessellation sizes to a configurable size within an interior region of a patch or sub-patches based on a position of each of the tessellations. The systems, apparatuses and methods may determine a number of tessellation factors to use based on one or more of a level of granularity of one or more domains of a scene to be digitally rendered, available computing capacity, or power consumption to compute the number of tessellation factors.

  • Publication number: 20190087478
Abstract: Trigger based analytics database synchronization is described. In one example case, a trigger is invoked based on an operation issued for a record in a transactional database. According to the trigger, one or more data values for synchronization from the transactional database to an analytics database are determined. A message including the data values is formed and added to a message queue through a message infrastructure service including a message broker. In turn, the values from the message are stored in a suitable memory space, such as a staging table, for forwarding to an analytics computing system. Using the trigger and the message infrastructure service, execution of the transactional database operation can be detached in execution from the addition of the value to the staging table and synchronization with the analytics computing system.

  • Publication number: 20190087745
Abstract: Systems for dynamically modifying one or more parameters of an event processing device are provided. In some examples, a system may receive data, such as data from a mobile device of a user. The data may include current location information of the mobile device. In some examples, additional data, may also be received. In some examples, one or more machine learning datasets may be used to determine whether a parameter of the event processing device should be modified. If so, an instruction to modify the parameter of the event processing device may be generated and executed. After modifying the parameter, additional data may be received and analyzed to determine whether a triggering event has occurred. If not, the parameter may remain in the modified state. If a triggering event has occurred, the parameter may be further modified.

In some embodiments, a TO can package comprises a TO header and a TEC on a surface of the TO header. The TEC comprises an insulation layer on a surface of the TO header, where the insulation layer has a thickness that is less than 100 micrometers and comprises one or more thermally and electrically conductive materials. The TEC further comprises a plurality of thermoelectric devices on a surface of the insulation layer opposite the TO header. The thin insulation layer, as opposed to a relatively thick bottom header of a stand-alone TEC, enables taller N-type and P-type legs for the thermoelectric devices, and thus a higher Coefficient of Performance (COP), within a given height for the TEC.

  • Patent number: 10234302
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein can be applied to a vehicle equipped with a sensor suite that can observe information about a location, for example, a traffic light duration. The system can record information, e.g., the traffic light colors, duration of color changes, and location of the traffic lights and can upload this information to the cloud. Then, the system can augment or learn about the location, e.g., learning of traffic patterns, and store the augmented data as database-based information, where available. The learned information can help a requesting vehicle to better estimate an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for common routes taken, provide more accurate ETAs based on historical knowledge, and/or calculate or provide alternative route information.
