A new payment transaction that looks similar to a previously identified cluster of mostly fraudulent payment transactions, for example, may be higher risk. The present disclosure includes structural data improvements to the way that online clustering of events (which may include web events and not just payment transactions) occurs. A new event can be classified into a particular segment very quickly using feature table searching, which can allow for better decision making when a short timeframe is required (e.g. transaction processing, online advertising, etc.).

Abstract: A method for pooling and retrieving block rewards in a reward pool including an operator node and a set of member nodes in a distributed network extending a proof-of-space-based blockchain includes: submitting a transaction configured to generate a singleton in a set of singletons, the singleton including: an outer puzzle hash linking the singleton to a singleton puzzle hash; and an inner puzzle hash defining a pool address associated with the reward pool; generating a block including a proof-of-space and a block reward allocated to the singleton puzzle hash; detecting the block reward allocated to the singleton puzzle hash; identifying the singleton linked to the singleton puzzle hash; and submitting a transaction configured to: remove the singleton from the set of singletons; and transfer the block reward from the singleton puzzle hash to the pool address.

Abstract: A portable surgical training device is provided. The trainer includes a top cover spaced apart from a base to form a simulated body cavity for locating model organs that are substantially obscured from the field of view of the user. The top cover includes a video display, fixed insertion ports and interchangeable inserts containing simulated tissue layers. The training device has open sides for demonstrating and training lateral surgical techniques including a simulated or live tissue colon attached to a support leg for simulating transanal minimally invasive surgery. A training endoscope with an adjustable focal length for use with the trainer and, in particular, with optical trocars is disclosed. The surgical trainer can be angled and is well suited for training laparoscopic surgery techniques and demonstrating surgical instruments.

Abstract: A computer implemented method is described for validation of a service. A graph data structure including a catalog layer with a service offering is statically analyzed. The method uses the static analysis to determine that a build exposing the service deviates from a pre-declared whitelist of dependencies. The method rejects insertion of the build into the graph data structure responsive to the determination in accord with a deny-by-default security posture.

A service provider, such as an electronic transaction processor for digital transactions, may utilize computer cookies for authentication and/or login for a user account. In order to further secure cookies from being compromised and used by malicious parties for fraudulent account access, the service provider may add or append a dynamic value that changes at each subsequent login to the computer cookie. The dynamic value may be used so that if a computer cookie is misappropriated, only one device may use the cookie once without the cookie updating and invalidating the cookie with another device or application on the device. Thereafter, when a login is requested, the dynamic value is matched to an expected value by the service provider when determining whether to authenticate the device.
