  • Patent number: 11058948
Abstract: Machine learning is used to generate and update predictive models configured to predict the positions, orientations, or actions of various gameplay elements capable of being controlled by players of a network-based multiplayer game. A gaming server can send a trained predictive model to each player device actively involved in a gaming session. Those devices can use the predictive model to predict the positions and orientations of various gameplay elements, where the actual data will not be received for a period of time due to latency of transmission over at least one network connection. When the actual data is received, the game state and gameplay action can be corrected or initiated as appropriate, enabling the overall gameplay experience to be smoother and more enjoyable. The gameplay and prediction data can be analyzed to further train or improve the models.

  • Patent number: 11060250
Abstract: An expansion joint sealing system for bridging and sealing a gap located between two spaced-apart structural deck members. The expansion joint sealing system includes an elastomeric seal member and a substantially rigid plate member. The elastomeric seal member is fixedly attached to an underlying structural deck member and is able to expand and contract in the longitudinal direction in relation to the traffic direction across the expansion joint. The rigid plate is not fastened to the elastomeric seal member with mechanical fasteners or other fastening means, but is slidingly engaged with the elastomeric seal member through an elongated guide member. As the rigid plate member is not fastened to the elastomeric seal member, it is able to move along a guide member in a direction that is transverse to the direction of traffic across the expansion joint.

  • Patent number: 11003568
Abstract: A system and method may provide assistance to programmer during programming to detect and predict the existence of errors in code and, in some aspects, predict fixes for erroneous code. In some aspects, the system and method may use artificial intelligence to learn based on edits made by programmers, by observing code changes that cause errors and code changes that fix errors, or based on other data.

  • Patent number: 10962625
Abstract: In a method of determining the position of an object, raw image data of the sky is recorded using a celestial imaging unit. The last known position, orientation, date, and time data of the object are obtained, and the position of a celestial body is measured. A latitude and longitude of the object is determined by matching the measured celestial body position to the expected celestial body position based on the input parameters. A system for determining a new position of an object comprises a celestial imaging unit configured to record image data of the sky, a signal processing unit, and a signal processing unit configured to receive and store in memory the image data received from the celestial imaging unit. The signal processing unit filters the image to find the positions of celestial objects in the sky. The signal processing unit is further configured to use roll and pitch from an IMU, and date and time from a clock to determine the object's position (latitude and longitude).

  • Patent number: 10963524
Abstract: System, methods and computer program products for creating and maintaining an address book are described. The address book may collect or update its existing contact information from sent or received communications. Contact information associated with the existing contacts also may be collected (or updated based on information received) from outside sources (e.g., external to an application hosting or accessing the address book). The address book may intelligently combine profile data from various sources to enrich the existing records associated with the contacts.

  • Patent number: 10909754
Abstract: Multi-dimensional models are supported for game creation via two-dimensional (2D) visual scripting systems. Visual scripting can utilize 2D nodes on a grid, where the nodes can interact through the use of input and output ports, and can be wired together to create gameplay behavior. A 2D rendering of a three-dimensional (3D) object (e.g., a mesh) can be added to the node grid for a gaming application. A scripting interface allows rules and ports to be created for specific aspects of the mesh, such as may relate to features, skeletons, or bounding boxes. Multiple scripting nodes can be associated with the same mesh such that the mesh is not duplicated in the visual scripting view port. The functionality for the 3D object can then be incorporated into the game based at least in part upon the associated nodes without manual coding or compilation.
