  • Publication number: 20220261322
Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed to preserve data integrity during a storage controller failure. In some examples, a storage controller of an active-active controller configuration can back-up data and corresponding cache elements to allow a surviving controller to construct a correct state of a failed controller's write cache. To accomplish this, the systems and processes can implement a relative time stamp for the cache elements that allow the backed-up data to be merged on a block-by-block basis.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for creation of software tests matching production personas are disclosed. A software testing system determines a plurality of observations regarding execution of a software product in a production environment comprising a plurality of software products. The software testing system determines one or more personas based at least in part on analysis of the plurality of observations. A particular persona represents one or more usage characteristics shared by a subset of clients of the software product. The software testing system generates one or more tests associated with the particular persona. The one or more tests comprise one or more input values of a plurality of calls. The one or more input values represent the usage characteristics shared by the subset of clients of the software product.

  • Publication number: 20220237084
Abstract: An information management system supports the concurrent transfer of multiple extents from a client computing device having one or more files stored in a primary storage device. The client computing device determines whether one or more of the files are extent-eligible by comparing a file size of a file with a predetermine file size threshold. Based on the comparison, the client computing device determines that the file is extent-eligible, and determines a plurality of extents for the extent-eligible file. The client computing device may then concurrently transmit one or more of the extents of the extent-eligible file to one or more nodes in communication with the client computing device. The one or more nodes may index the received extents for later retrieval during a restore operation of the extent-eligible file. The one or more nodes may also validate the extents to ensure that the extents are not corrupted.

  • Publication number: 20220229641
Abstract: An approach is presented to enhancing the optimization process in a polyhedral compiler by introducing compile-time versioning, i.e., the production of several versions of optimized code under varying assumptions on its run-time parameters. We illustrate this process by enabling versioning in the polyhedral processor placement pass. We propose an efficient code generation method and validate that versioning can be useful in a polyhedral compiler by performing benchmarking on a small set of deep learning layers defined for dynamically-sized tensors.

  • Patent number: 11385776
Abstract: The Commissioning phase is usually the most Time/Labor intensive phase in the Fire Safety System life cycle as the process involves referring to the Building floor plan document (as provided by the Installer) and creation of Areas/Zones and carefully assigning each fire device (viz. Smoke/Heat detectors, MCP etc.) to the corresponding zones in the Panel configuration software to configure the Fire Panel. The overall process easily spans for multiple days based on the Building network complexity. The present invention provides a system, apparatus and method for rapid commissioning by providing a graphical interface in which device addresses can be uniquely allocated using an interactive screen. This avoids double address faults which can be time consuming to identify and rectify. Geographic information of the devices can also be identified and incorporated using the interactive screen.

  • Patent number: 11379184
Abstract: A system for refinement of a voice query interpretation interprets a voice query received at a voice-enabled device to identify commands responsive to the voice query for execution at the voice-enabled device, and enables refinement of the interpretation of the voice query through a graphical user interface generated and displayed at a GUI-capable device. The graphical user interface includes a set of selectable options relating to the voice query and identifying a refinement of the interpretation of the voice query to enable control and/or adjustment of commands to be executed by the voice-enabled device. For example, if one of the selectable options is selected, then a command associated with the selected option is identified and executed by the voice-enabled device.

  • Publication number: 20220198911
Abstract: A data collection device and method for determining an alternative event condition is presented. The method includes receiving a first data communication including a first data value from a first sensor and determining a first event condition based on the first data value being beyond a predetermined threshold. The method further includes receiving additional data communications including additional data values from one or more second sensors, aggregating the first data value and the additional data values, and determining that the determination of the first event condition is incorrect based on the aggregated data values and a known relationship between the first sensor and the one or more second sensors. The method additionally includes determining a second event condition based on the first data value and the additional data values being beyond the predetermined threshold. An action may then be performed in response to the determination of the second event condition.

  • Publication number: 20220195707
Abstract: A data collection device and method for determining a backflow condition in a water distribution system. The data collection device receives a first data communication from a first node, the first data communication indicating a first possible backflow condition at the first node. The data collection device receives additional data communications from one or more second nodes, the additional data communications indicating backflow conditions at the second nodes. The data collection device aggregates and analyzes the first data value and the additional data values and determines that an actual backflow condition exists based on the aggregated data values and a known relationship between the first node and the second nodes. The data collection device may then perform action(s) in response to determining the backflow condition, such as reporting the backflow condition, requesting updated reporting from the nodes, closing appropriate valves, initiating pumps to increase water pressure, flushing the system, etc.

  • Patent number: 11366834
Abstract: A system includes a processor and memory. The memory stores a model database including models and a classification database including classification scores corresponding to an input. The memory stores instructions for execution by the processor. The instructions include, in response to receiving a first input from a user device of a user, determining, for the first input, classification scores for classifications by applying the models to the first input. Each model determines one of the classification scores. The instructions include storing the classification scores as associated with the first input in the classification database and identifying the first input as within a first classification in response to a first classification score corresponding to the first classification exceeding a first threshold. The instructions include transmitting, for display on an analyst device, the first input based on the first classification to a first analyst queue associated with the first classification.

  • Patent number: 11368743
Abstract: Systems, devices and processes and described herein to improve the generation of video content in video production systems. In general, the systems, devices and processes facilitate the incorporation of remotely generated user telestration inputs into output video streams generated by the video production systems. In one embodiment user telestration inputs are received at a control device. Minimum capture shapes corresponding to the user telestration inputs are then determined and images corresponding to the minimum capture shape are captured. The captured images are then transmitted from the control device to the video access point device. At the video access point device the captured images can then be combined with previously captured and transmitted images and overlaid with a selected input video stream. The video input stream with the overlaid image can then be transmitted as an output video stream.

  • Publication number: 20220185117
Abstract: A comprises a vehicle control unit, VCU, and a control module, CM, configured to control the torque actuators. The VCU is configured to send to the CM a parameter request and a desired recuperation power or a desired parameter split ratio. If the CM determines that these are conflicting targets, then based on one or more predefined criteria, the CM will apply a parameter value and allocate a recuperation power or a parameter split ratio such that the applied parameter value is different from the requested one and/or the allocated recuperation power or parameter split ratio is different from the desired one. A method of controlling a wheel is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220188160
Abstract: Managing batched jobs is provided. The method comprises receiving a job batch request from a client for a number of processing jobs. Each job is registered, and jobs that are ready for execution at a specified time are collected. For each collected job an instance of the job is locked to prevent duplicate execution. The locked jobs are queued, and a container is created for each job in the queue. A method of execution is determined for each job in the queue, and each job is then executed according the method determined for that job. Job events for each executing job are logged, a determination if a job was completed successfully is made according to its respective job events. A job status is updated for each completed job. The container of each completed job is then destroyed, and each completed job is unlocked.
