  • Patent number: 11074347
Abstract: A delta file may be assembled for use in updating software on a networked device. The delta file may include at least one manifest, and each manifest may be associated with a subset of files (e.g., replacement and/or upgrade files for the networked device). The subset(s) of files may be selected based on a wide range of criteria. In an example, subsets may be selected based on rules that regulate when files are allowed to change. Subsets may also be defined based on the device associated with the files (e.g., a metrology device or a communications device). Any desired criteria/criterion may be used to define a subset of files. The delta file may be transmitted to the networked device. On the networked device, the subset(s) of files may be verified against data corruption, actions of bad actors, and/or unexpected changes at runtime.

  • Patent number: 11067016
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for tracking a fuel puddle mass in the intake port of a deactivated engine cylinder. The difference in fuel evaporation rate in the deactivated cylinder intake is accounted for by applying distinct time constant and gain values to a transient fuel compensation model. A fuel vapor content is clipped once the intake vapor pressure in the intake port of the deactivated cylinder reaches a saturation pressure limit.

  • Patent number: 11063938
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that leverage multi-factor authentication features of a service provider and intelligent call routing to increase security and efficiency at a customer call center. Pre-authentication of customer support requests reduces the potential for misappropriation of sensitive customer data during call handling. A contactless card uniquely associated with a client may provide a second factor of authentication to reduce the potential for malicious third-party impersonation of the client. Pre-authorized customer support calls are intelligently and efficiently routed in a manner that reduces the opportunity for malicious call interference and information theft.

  • Publication number: 20210185385
Abstract: Systems, devices and processes and described herein to improve the generation of video content in video production systems. In general, the systems, devices and processes facilitate the incorporation of remotely generated user telestration inputs into output video streams generated by the video production systems. In one embodiment user telestration inputs are received at a control device. Minimum capture shapes corresponding to the user telestration inputs are then determined and images corresponding to the minimum capture shape are captured. The captured images are then transmitted from the control device to the video access point device. At the video access point device the captured images can then be combined with previously captured and transmitted images and overlaid with a selected input video stream. The video input stream with the overlaid image can then be transmitted as an output video stream.

  • Patent number: 11010954
Abstract: A computer-implemented redundant-coverage discard method and apparatus for reducing pixel shader work in a tile-based graphics rendering pipeline is disclosed. A coverage block information (CBI) FIFO buffer is disposed within an early coverage discard (ECD) logic section. The FIFO buffer receives and buffers coverage blocks in FIFO order. At least one coverage block that matches the block position within the TCPM is updated. The TCPM stores per-pixel primitive coverage information. The FIFO buffer buffers a moving window of the coverage blocks. Incoming primitive information associated with the coverage blocks is compared with the per-pixel primitive coverage information stored in the tile coverage-primitive map (TCPM) table at the corresponding positions for the live coverages only. Any preceding overlapping coverage within the moving window of the coverage blocks is rejected. An alternate embodiment uses a doubly linked-list rather than a FIFO buffer.

  • Patent number: 10977813
Abstract: A system and method for performing robust depth calculations with time of flight (ToF) sensors using multiple exposure times is disclosed. A three-dimensional (3D) depth sensor assembly captures a first array of n point values, where each point value of the first array has a respective first-array depth component and a respective first-array quality component. The 3D depth sensor assembly then captures a second array of n point values, where each point value of the second array has a respective second-array depth component and a respective second-array quality component. A processor then renders a 3D point cloud comprising a third array of n point values, where each point value of the third array has a respective third-array depth component. The respective third-array depth component for each point value of the third array is based on either the corresponding respective first-array depth component or the corresponding respective second-array depth component.

  • Patent number: 10968853
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for learning fuel injector error for cylinder groups during a deceleration fuel shut-off (DFSO), where all cylinders of an engine are deactivated, sequentially firing each cylinder of a cylinder group, each cylinder fueled via consecutive first and second fuel pulses of differing fuel pulse width from an injector. Based on a lambda deviation between the first and second pulses, a fuel error for the injector and an air-fuel ratio imbalance for each cylinder is learned. Alternatively or additionally, a difference in crankshaft acceleration between the first and second pulses relative to the expected deviation may be used to learn torque error, and adjust fuel injector error and air-ratio imbalance for each cylinder.
