  • Publication number: 20170356380
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for learning fuel injector error for cylinder groups during a deceleration fuel shut-off (DFSO), where all cylinders of an engine are deactivated, sequentially firing each cylinder of a cylinder group, each cylinder fueled via consecutive first and second fuel pulses of differing fuel pulse width from an injector. Based on a lambda deviation between the first and second pulses, a fuel error for the injector and an air-fuel ratio imbalance for each cylinder is learned. Alternatively or additionally, a difference in crankshaft acceleration between the first and second pulses relative to the expected deviation may be used to learn torque error, and adjust fuel injector error and air-ratio imbalance for each cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9593637
Abstract: Various systems and methods are described for diagnosing injector variability in a dual fuel, multi-injector system. In one example, a single injector in one cylinder is enabled while remaining cylinders are fueled with a first fuel and subsequently, a second fuel is injected via the enabled injector into the one cylinder in a predetermined sequence and fuel rail pressure drops are measured. Further, measured pressure drop after each injection event is corrected for an increase in injector closing delay.

  • Publication number: 20170068855
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to ge visual inspection systems, and more particularly to a method and system for facilitating real time detection of linear infrastructural objects in aerial imagery. In one embodiment, a background suppression technique is applied to one or more hardware processors to a HSV image. Further, a mean shift filtering technique is applied to the hardware processors to find a peak of a confidence map and then a gradient image generation is performed for a plurality of edges of the image. A seed point pair along a middle cut portion of a linear feature of the HSV image to identify one or more boundaries of the seed point pair is extracted and then a contour growing approach to detect the boundaries of the linear feature is initiated. Lastly, one or more false positives are removed by using a rigidity feature, the rigidity feature being equivalent to the total sum of gradient orientations.

  • Publication number: 20170061227
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods to enable detection of linear objects such as utility poles in complex and heterogeneous outdoor surroundings. The methods deal with shape and orientation as prominent features of a pole model. Candidate trapeziums from 2D images of the face of the poles are extracted, some of which represent parts of the pole. To overcome the missed detection of certain parts due to problems of occlusion and diffusion into background, shape based techniques, that extrapolate and capture a longer trapezium representing the pole is implemented. The region growing stage or extrapolation is driven by orientation-based clustering of trapeziums. Context information is further used to identify objects of interest, by discarding false positives. Besides detecting poles of interest, the detected poles are further analysed to identify damages, if any.

  • Patent number: 9519888
Abstract: Email server side or client side components either remove email attachments from the relevant email, or identify the attachment while the email is being composed and makes the attachment available from a secure website or file hosting site. The recipient then receives instructions in the email and links to access the attachments rather than the attachments themselves. Email attachment size limitations are overcome for sender/recipient mail systems. Also, file type limitations related to email attachments are overcome, provides improved attachment security, and reduces email bandwidth costs.
