  • Publication number: 20230354094
Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for a switching scheme for opting in and out of multi-user orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (MU-OFDMA). In one aspect, an electronic device enters the MU-OFDMA mode to communicate via a wireless network over a shared-channel bandwidth. During the MU-OFDMA mode, the electronic device determines that an uplink-queue size is greater than a first threshold size. Responsive to the determining, the electronic device opts out of the MU-OFDMA mode and enters a single-user mode to contend for a transmit channel for transmitting uplink data.

  • Publication number: 20230235414
Abstract: Compositions and use of the compositions in methods of detecting SARS-CoV-2 in a sample is disclosed, using RT-LAMP coupled with CRISPR-Cas12, referred to herein as iSCAN (in vitro Scanning of COVID-19-Associated Nucleic acids) is disclosed. iSCAN provides a rapid, specific, accurate, sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 in a sample. The iSCAN is 1) rapid, as the RT-LAMP and CRISPR-Cas12/Cas 13 reaction takes less than 1 h; 2) specific, because detection depends on the identification and subsequent cleavage of SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences by the Cas12 or 13 enzyme; 3) field-deployable, as only simple equipment is required; and 4) easy to use, as the colorimetric reaction coupled to lateral flow immunochromatography makes the assay results easy to assess. The methods include amplifying SARS-CoV-2 in a sample using RT-LAMP and using the RT-LAMP product as a substrate in a CRISPR-Cas12/13 reaction, incorporated with a means of detecting the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 RT-LAMP product.

  • Patent number: 11444376
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing calibration of antenna arrays with dual-polarization antenna elements are disclosed. An example system includes an antenna array and a calibration circuitry. The antenna array includes a plurality of antenna cells arranged in K rows and L columns, each cell including a plurality of dual-polarization antenna elements. Antenna cells in columns 1 through Y form a first sub-array, while antenna cells in columns Y+1 through L form a second sub-array. The calibration circuitry is configured to perform calibration by individually calibrating each column of antenna cells of the first sub-array, calibrating different columns of antenna cells of the first sub-array with respect to one another, individually calibrating each column of antenna cells of the second sub-array, calibrating different columns of antenna cells of the second sub-array with respect to one another, and calibrating antenna elements of the first and second sub-arrays with respect to one another.

  • Publication number: 20220159558
Abstract: Techniques are described for using a dedicated-scan radio to improve scanning and other radio operations performed during wireless communications. The techniques include configuring a dedicated-scan radio to collect and cache scan results without interfering with ongoing wireless communication tasks performed using primary radios. Based on the scan results cached by the dedicated-scan radio, the computing device improves other radio operations in furtherance of wireless communications. Cached scan results enable a primary radio to avoid, or to focus on, scanning certain channels or frequencies during discovering, positioning, or roaming operations. By using the dedicated-scan results as a starting point or seed for functions performed by a primary radio, the computing device may more quickly and more efficiently perform radio functions, minimizing latency to ongoing wireless communications.
