  • Patent number: 8628930
Abstract: This invention provides a simple means for detecting a renal disorder, a diagnostic marker for a renal disorder that enables prognostic prediction of a renal disorder (e.g., diabetic nephropathy and IgA nephropathy) and evaluation of the degree of nephropathy at the phase of stage-II diabetic nephropathy by measuring the megalin level in urine associated with a renal disorder used for the detection means, and use of such marker. The invention also provides the use of human megalin obtained from the urine sample of a subject as a marker for detecting a renal disorder.

  • Publication number: 20120164662
Abstract: Provided is a test method for the assessment of the necessity of renal biopsy in a subject to be tested, who is suspected of having a renal disease. Specifically provided are a test method for a renal disease, including using urinary podocalyxin and one or more additional markers in combination, and a test reagent for use in the test method and a test reagent kit for use in the test method. The present invention allows the discrimination of a poor prognosis group even for poor prognosis cases with no overt findings in a conventional test method, and thus allows the assessment of a renal disease, the assessment of the necessity of renal biopsy, prognostic prediction, and the like to be performed exactly.

  • Patent number: 7997084
Abstract: A gasifying furnace gasifies solid fuel or liquid fuel. A gas turbine drives a turbine to generate power by using combustion gas generated by burning mixed gas of compressed air compressed in a compressor and gas generated in the gasifying furnace in a combustor. A booster boosts compressed air bled from the compressor, and feed the compressed air to the gasifying furnace. A bleed source valve is provided in a bleed line between the compressor and the booster. An abnormality stop controller stops the booster and the gas turbine, based on an opening angle of the bleed source valve or a bleed pressure on an upstream side of the bleed source valve.

  • Publication number: 20110016873
Abstract: A fuel control method for a gas turbine with a combustor being formed of at least two groups of a pluralities of main nozzles for supplying fuel, and that supplies fuel from the main nozzles of all groups upon ignition of the combustor (S1), and supplies fuel from three main nozzles of a group A during subsequent acceleration of the gas turbine (S3). Because fuel is injected from a small number of the main nozzles during acceleration, the fuel flow rate per one main nozzle is increased, thereby increasing the fuel-air ratio (fuel flow rate/air flow rate) in a combustion region and improving the combustion characteristics. Accordingly, the generation of carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon is reduced, whereby no bypass valve is required and manufacturing costs are reduced.

  • Patent number: 7852269
Abstract: According to the ultrawideband communication antenna, since surfaces of the antenna element are coated with the first resin layer and the second resin layer each of which is mixed with the nonmagnetic metal powder and has an insulating property and a high specific inductive capacity, the size is largely reduced. Further, since the nonmagnetic metal powder is used, the first resin layer and the second resin layer are free from a loss of magnetism generated therein, thereby enabling to maintain a loss of the antenna to a low level.
