Patent number: 7343901Abstract: A fuel filter is located downstream of a feed pump to filter fuel discharged from the feed pump. An orifice is located between the fuel filter and a suction quantity control valve to restrict a flow rate of the fuel passing through the fuel filter. A positive pressure of the feed pump is applied to the fuel filter, and a passing pressure at the fuel filter increases. Even if viscosity of the fuel increases and the fuel becomes wax-like at low temperature, clogging of the fuel filter or an insufficient flow rate can be inhibited. The orifice restricts the flow rate of the fuel passing through the fuel filter. Accordingly, an increase in size of the fuel filter can be prevented even if the fuel filter is located downstream of the feed pump.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2006Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Katsumi Mori, Akihiro Kuroda

Patent number: 7314351Abstract: A fuel supply pump uses a low-pressure supply pump for pumping up a low-pressure fuel, and a pump element having a plunger for increasing pressure of the low-pressure fuel supplied by the low-pressure supply pump. Part of the low-pressure fuel discharged from the low-pressure supply pump is supplied to a pump cam chamber as a lubrication fuel for sliding portions in the pump cam chamber. Part of the lubrication fuel in the pump cam chamber is sucked in or supplied by the low-pressure supply pump from a fuel film portion. Therefore, the lubrication fuel can be forcibly supplied to the bearing portions using the low-pressure supply pump in a uniform flow rate to the bearing portions, thereby stabilizing lubricating conditions of the bearing portions.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2004Date of Patent: January 1, 2008Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Akihiro Kuroda

Publication number: 20070280402Abstract: A mixing of color that follows mixing of horizontally adjoining information charges corresponding to different colors is minimized during an operation for adding information charges of a plurality of pixels in a horizontal direction and during a high-speed horizontal transfer operation in a horizontal CCD shift register of a CCD image sensor. An impurity is used for forming barrier regions having a shallow channel potential among the barrier regions and storage regions that constitute transfer stages of the horizontal CCD shift register. The concentration of the impurity is established separately in a main portion, which is composed of transfer stages that are connected to the output ends of vertical CCD shift registers, and in a dummy portion, which connects the main portion with an output section and has a width that gradually decreases towards the output section. The barrier potential is therefore also established separately in the main portion and the dummy portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2007Publication date: December 6, 2007Applicant: SANYO ELECTRIC CO., LTD.Inventors: Yuzo Otsuru, Kazutaka Itsumi, Shinichiro Izawa, Akihiro Kuroda
