Abstract: An information writing device in which the information can be written accurately efficiently and in which variable formats of the disc-shaped recording mediums can be coped with without the necessity of providing master discs from one format of the disc-shaped recording medium to another. A grating interferometer clock scale system is formed by a clock pattern disc 50 having a clock track 52 carrying an optically readable clock pattern 51 and an optical head 60 for optically reading out the clock pattern 51. Clock signals are generated in a clock generator 90, to which is transmitted, via an optical fiber 80, the interference light obtained as an optical output obtained in turn by optically reading out the clock pattern 51 by the optical head 60, based on electrical signals obtained on photoelectrically transducing the optical output. The servo information synchronized with the clock signals is generated by a servo information generating part 93.

  • Publication number: 20060169251
Abstract: A fuel filter is located downstream of a feed pump to filter fuel discharged from the feed pump. An orifice is located between the fuel filter and a suction quantity control valve to restrict a flow rate of the fuel passing through the fuel filter. A positive pressure of the feed pump is applied to the fuel filter, and a passing pressure at the fuel filter increases. Even if viscosity of the fuel increases and the fuel becomes wax-like at low temperature, clogging of the fuel filter or an insufficient flow rate can be inhibited. The orifice restricts the flow rate of the fuel passing through the fuel filter. Accordingly, an increase in size of the fuel filter can be prevented even if the fuel filter is located downstream of the feed pump.

  • Patent number: 6895936
Abstract: In a common rail type fuel injection system, fuel in a fuel tank is sucked by a feed pump and fed to a pressurizing pump. Fuel pressurized in the pressurizing pump is supplied to a common rail. The pressurized fuel accumulated in the common rail is injected into a cylinder of an internal combustion engine from an injector. All of these operations are electronically controlled by an electronic control unit. To gradually suck air in the fuel tank together with fuel and to avoid air accumulation in a fuel filter, a relief valve is connected to the common rail. The relief valve is opened when the engine is idling thereby to increase an amount of fuel sucked by the feed pump and to gradually suck the air together with the fuel. The relief valve is opened only in interval periods in which fuel is not injected from the injector.

  • Publication number: 20040179950
Abstract: A fuel supply pump (1) comprises a low-pressure supply pump (15) for pumping up a low-pressure fuel, and a pump element (2) having a plunger (21) for increasing the pressure of the low-pressure fuel supplied into a pressure chamber (26) by the low-pressure supply pump. Part of the low-pressure fuel discharged from the low-pressure supply pump is supplied to a pump cam chamber (37) as a lubrication fuel for sliding portions in the pump cam chamber. Part of the lubrication fuel in the pump cam chamber is sucked in by the low-pressure supply pump from a fuel film portion (38). Therefore, the lubrication fuel can be forcibly supplied to the bearing portions using the low-pressure supply pump, and thus can be supplied in a uniform flow rate to the bearing portions, thereby stabilizing the lubricating conditions of the bearing portions.
