  • Patent number: 6511159
Abstract: In a normal record mode, a non-heat mode such that a non-ejecting pulse for heating is not supplied when the image recording is not executed is set. In a continuous magnify-record mode, a heat mode such that the non-ejecting pulse for heating is supplied when the image recording is not executed is set. Thus, a non-uniformity of an image density at the start and end of the recording can be suppressed and a reduction of the life of the head can be minimized.

  • Publication number: 20020146114
Abstract: A modular jack (31) comprises a housing (32) and a foolproof mechanism (34) including a pair of spring members (42) cantilevered to the housing (32), and an abutment section (43) provided at the front end of each spring member (42). Each abutment section (43) consists of a cam portion (45) having an inclined face (47) and a stopper portion (44) provided behind and inside the cam portion (45). When a modular plug (2) having a predetermined number of poles is inserted into the modular jack (31), the front ends of the modular plug (2) abut the inclined faces (47) of the cam portions (45) to move the abutment sections (43) outwardly, permitting insertion of the modular plug (2). When a modular plug (21) having a number of poles that is smaller than the predetermined number is inserted, the front ends of the modular plug (2′) abut against the stopper portions (44) to block insertion of the modular plug (2′).

  • Patent number: 6398358
Abstract: An ink jet textile printing method forms an image on cloths in an image forming operation by repeating a step of applying ink on the cloths from an ink discharge port of a recording head, the recording head relatively main-scanning to form the image in a main scan direction, and a step of relatively conveying the cloths in a sub-scan direction. The method includes the steps of forming the image on the cloths by applying ink on the cloths from the recording head based on image data. The method further includes the step of temporarily stopping the image forming operation in accordance with an indication to effect a temporary halt of the image forming operation. When the temporary halt is indicated while the recording head performs a main scan in the image forming operation, the image forming operation by the main scan is completed, and then the temporary halt of the image forming operation is effected by moving the recording head to a standby position.

  • Publication number: 20020051161
Abstract: There are provided an image forming apparatus, an image forming system, and a sheet feeding source designation control method, which are capable of preventing a user from failing to carry out proper settings to thereby avoid printing using an undesired sheet cassette, and also capable of allowing a user to change to another type of sheet feeding than manual feeding immediately if he or she desires to do so, and storage media storing programs for executing the methods. The size of at least one sheet for manual feeding can be designated by a device or a job. It is determined whether or not a manual feed tray can be designated as a sheet feeding source if the sheet size is designated by the device or the job, and the manual feed tray is designated as the sheet feeding source when it is so determined.

  • Patent number: 6339262
Abstract: A switching power supply uses zero-current and zero-voltage switching to reduce switching noise. A main switch and an auxiliary switch channel current and voltage between various component paths to maintain a DC output voltage while switching at zero-current or zero-voltage states. Switch ON-OFF time ratios are controlled with a simple scheme to improve the circuit power factor. The switching rate is set to arbitrary frequencies, with switch ON time and OFF time being controlled independently. Losses in efficiency when driving a load substantially less than the rated load are avoided. The switches and control functions can be implemented on an integrated circuit.
