  • Publication number: 20200016720
Abstract: A film thickness measuring apparatus and an end point detector monitor a film thickness of a conductive film based on an output of an eddy current sensor disposed in a polishing table. The output of the eddy current sensor includes an impedance component, and when a resistance component and a reactance component of the impedance component are associated with the respective axes of a coordinate system having two orthogonal coordinate axes, at least some points on the coordinate system corresponding to the impedance component form at least a part of a circle. The film thickness measuring apparatus determines a distance between a point on the coordinate system and the center of the circle, determines the film thickness from the impedance component and corrects the determined film thickness using the determined distance.

  • Publication number: 20200016722
Abstract: An output of an eddy current sensor includes an impedance component. A film thickness measuring apparatus obtains film thickness information from the impedance component. Using a non-linear function between the film thickness information and the film thickness, the film thickness is obtained from the film thickness information. When a resistance component and a reactance component of the impedance component are associated with respective axes of a coordinate system having two orthogonal coordinate axes, the film thickness information is a reciprocal of a tangent of an impedance angle which is an angle formed by a straight line connecting a point on the coordinate system corresponding to the impedance component and a predetermined reference point, and a predetermined straight line.

  • Patent number: 10430943
Abstract: Automated nuclei area/number estimation utilizes a two-stage estimation framework-area estimation first followed by number estimation. After determining area information, each local patch's shape features are able to be extracted to define a local voting rule. The resulting voting score determines the strength of each local voting peak. The number of voting peaks is exactly the number of nuclei.

  • Patent number: 10304192
Abstract: The two-step architecture of the supervoxel-based spatial temporal video segmentation method ensures speed and scalability. The computationally intensive first step uses a highly efficient super-voxel segmentation method. The second step is done over pre-grouped super-voxels, hence has much lower temporal and spatial complexity. The progressive segmentation scheme deployed in the first step enables segmenting huge input volume part by part, without loading all the data into the memory which may be infeasible. At the same time, the progressive segmentation is able to effectively prevent seam artifacts, leading to segmentation results virtually identical to those of whole volume processing.
