  • Publication number: 20170189983
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing welding power supplies with interleaved inverter circuitry are described. In one embodiment, a welding power supply includes, for example, a first inverter circuit and a second inverter circuit that are arranged in parallel. A voltage source or a current source is coupled to a first same node of the first inverter circuit and the second inverter circuit. A filter inductor is coupled to a second same node of the first inverter circuit and the second inverter circuit. The output current of the filter inductor is halved in frequency by disabling one of the first inverter circuit and the second inverter circuit.

  • Publication number: 20170189985
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a constant current controller for use in constant current welding applications are described. In one embodiment, a current controller controls the output current of the welding torch without directly measuring the output current of the welding torch. The current controller controls or sets a current in a primary winding of a transformer in an inverter of a welding power supply to control the output current of the welding torch.

  • Publication number: 20160299639
Abstract: A system is provided for identifying and visualizing geographically delineated content and author information having an associated geographic location within a standardized geographic boundary. In contrast to a “free-form” location search, or user-drawn polygon designating an area for which to aggregate social media content, standardized geographic boundaries include predetermined geographic areas. Further, similar geographic areas may be located based on aggregated social media content.

  • Patent number: 9299170
Abstract: Information is presented on a map that resembles a city map, with related information grouped into distinct “neighborhoods.” Such a display scheme takes advantage of spatial cognition in order to provide an organizational and presentational scheme by which users can more easily remember where to look for and find the right information. Metadata, notifications, and/or other auxiliary information can be presented alongside or superimposed upon the data itself.

  • Publication number: 20150335837
Abstract: A gas flow sensor (1), such as for a respiratory tube (120) or a convective warming blanket (40), includes a stiff, flexible rectangular substrate (10) supporting a piezoelectric element (11). The substrate (10) is mounted at its downstream end (15) and aligned in the gas flow (2) so that its free end (16) is vibrated up and down by gas flow. This flexes the substrate (10) and the piezoelectric element (11) so that it provides an alternating output to a processor (20) with an amplitude dependent on the rate of gas flow. The processor (20) provides an output to a display (3) indicative of the gas flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20150201030
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that provide geographically delineated content. In one implementation, a system comprises an interface configured to receive, from a user device, a user input identifying a geographic location, a location-based service including a distributed computer system having at least one processor in data communication with the interface, a delineation component executable by the at least one processor and configured to query at least one social media content provider and aggregate geographically delineated content generated by one or more user, the content being received from the at least one social media content provider responsive to the received user input, and a relation component executable by the at least one processor and configured to determine a heatmap visualization from the aggregated geographically delineated content.

  • Patent number: 9082282
Abstract: An alert may provide a user with notification when a trigger condition regarding the operation of an enterprise is satisfied. Prior to setting the alert, a proposed alert with the trigger condition may be received. The trigger condition may be compared with a database of operational data related to operation of the enterprise over a period of time to obtain historical trigger data. The historical trigger data may indicate how the proposed alert would have functioned if applied to the operational data for the period of time, for example, by indicating how many times the alert would have been triggered during the period of time. The historical trigger data may be provided to a user, and may facilitate user determination of whether the proposed alert will perform as desired. Once the desired proposed alert has been entered, the user may set the proposed alert as an actual alert.

  • Publication number: 20140206941
Abstract: Surgical instruments providing access to delicate tissue, such as brain tissue, through a transcutaneous channel. A surgical access assembly has a pin component removably fastened to a cannula component such that rotational forces are translated between the pin component and the cannula component. The pin component is adapted to receive and secure a guide-pin component from a navigation system to assist in the proper initial placement of the surgical access assembly. The cannula component has features on the outer surface configured to facilitate insertion and retention of the surgical access assembly in the target delicate tissue. When desired, pin component can be removed from cannula component to reveal an inner cavity configured to provide access to the target delicate tissue and a working channel for the particular procedure to be performed.

  • Patent number: 8500868
Abstract: Systems and methods for the separation and capture of carbon dioxide from water are generally described. In some embodiments, a vapor stream containing carbon dioxide and water is separated using a cascade of at least two flash drums. Additional flash steps may be incorporated to remove atmospheric gases, such as nitrogen and argon, from the feed. Carbon dioxide may be condensed and pressurized at purities suitable for pipeline transport and eventual storage in geological formations. In addition, water may be recovered at high purity. In some embodiments, fuel cells may be used in combination with fuel reforming or gasification to produce syngas. Certain aspects of the invention involve innovations related to the combined reforming and fuel cell process, that, in certain embodiments, do not depend upon water and carbon dioxide separation.

  • Patent number: 8327800
Abstract: A portable livestock feeder has a frame supported by a plurality of wheels with a trailer hitch at one end. First and second feed troughs are positioned on each side of a longitudinal center of the frame with racks positioned above the troughs. The feed troughs are supported at their front ends by a first pair of pin members and at their rear ends by a second pair of pin members. The feed troughs are pivotable by a hydraulic mechanism about the pin members between a normal feeding position and a bottom dumping position. One of the pin members is movable between first and second stops that limit lateral movement of the feed troughs toward and away from the longitudinal center of the feeder. An adjustable cam member is arranged to engage another one of the pin members for causing the troughs to move between narrow and wide width settings.

  • Publication number: 20070233511
Abstract: Automated integration of partner products in connection with a web analytics application is facilitated. A list of available partner products is displayed, and the user is provided with an opportunity to select one or more of the displayed partner products. A wizard is presented, allowing the user to configure the partner product by specifying and mapping metrics, dimensions, and the like. Partner product integration then takes place automatically, thereby simplifying the process by which such integrations can be implemented.

  • Publication number: 20060262503
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooling system, the cooling system having a nozzle which receives coolant from a reservoir and which faces a substrate. The nozzle may be opened and closed by a thermally responsive valve allowing the coolant to be automatically metered to the substrate, thus controlling the spatial distribution of the coolant that is applied to the substrate. This approach allows hotter areas of the substrate to receive more coolant, thus eliminating nonuniformities in the thermal profile of the substrate.
