  • Patent number: 9501333
Abstract: A multiprocessor system supports multiple concurrent modes of speculative execution. Speculation identification numbers (IDs) are allocated to speculative threads from a pool of available numbers. The pool is divided into domains, with each domain being assigned to a mode of speculation. Modes of speculation include TM, TLS, and rollback. Allocation of the IDs is carried out with respect to a central state table and using hardware pointers. The IDs are used for writing different versions of speculative results in different ways of a set in a cache memory.

  • Patent number: 9500505
Abstract: A gas distribution system may include a gas mass flow sensor with a resistive element configured to be heated, a thermally conductive shell surrounding the resistive element and heat-transfer control elements. The shell may include a leading surface oriented substantially orthogonal to a direction of gas flow. The heat-transfer control elements may be positioned to focus heat transfer from the resistive element through the leading surface of the shell so that a rate of heat transfer is independent from the variations in flow configuration.

  • Patent number: 9503784
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure exposure to streaming media are disclosed. An example method includes detecting an ID3 tag associated with streaming media presented at a client device. Data is extracted from a first field of the ID3 tag. The data from the first field of the ID3 tag is processed to generate a first request directed to a first internet domain, the first internet domain based on the data, the first request including a media identifier from a second field of the ID3 tag, the second field of the ID3 tag separate from the first field of the ID3 tag, the media identifier identifying the streaming media. In response to the detection of the ID3 tag, the first request is sent from the client device to the first internet domain.

  • Patent number: 9499074
Abstract: A child seat including a tensioning mechanism for applying tension to a seat belt to more fully secure the child seat to a vehicle seat is provided herein. The child seat, which may be front- and/or rear-facing, includes a seat base defining a seat portion and a backrest portion. The seat base can receive an untensioned belt to secure the child seat to a vehicle seat in an untensioned configuration. A tensioning mechanism attached to the backrest portion and is rotatable between a first position substantially adjacent to the backrest portion and a second position disposed therefrom. In the second position, the tensioning mechanism can receive a portion of the belt. In the first position, the tensioning mechanism applies tension to the portion of the received belt to secure the child seat to the vehicle seat in a tensioned configuration. Methods of manufacturing child seats are also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 9498056
Abstract: A resting apparatus and system. The apparatus and system comprise two telescoping legs having two longitudinal rotatable leg anchors having frictional padding to prevent slipping. The telescoping legs are attached to a locking mechanism that uses a bracket having a clip that fits into various holes depending on the user's desired sleep angle. The bracket is integrally formed in the body of the substantially u-shaped pillow. The telescoping legs also have a height locking system primarily comprising of two separate channels, a first channel allowing for vertical movement and side channels used to lock in the desired height. The resting apparatus and system can be broken down such that the rotatable leg anchors form a handle for ease of use while traveling.

  • Patent number: 9500595
Abstract: Grade enhancement of mint grade and proof-like coins is disclosed based on a determination of an indication that the coin was a “first strike” coin. First strike is defined by the first 10% or less of coins struck by the same die and may be determined by the location of a physical attribute of the coin present in at most 10% of similar coins struck by the same die. First strike in proof-like coins may be determined by frosted white cameo.

  • Patent number: 9503866
Abstract: Improved group communications methods which are well suited for a wireless environment are described. End nodes request that access nodes make changes in group membership information maintained at the access node. The access node responds to the requests by a response signal indicating a grant or denial of the request. Requests may be to add or remove the end node, e.g., a mobile wireless terminal, from a particular group membership list identified in the request signal. The access node maintains a detailed list of group members and uses the information to control how signals, e.g., packets, are transmitted to the group members. Group membership information may be updated at the access node at the time of handoff and/or an end node enters the cell or otherwise changes its point of network attachment.
